Dublin -v- Tipp
Dublin have made great strids this year but with 4/5 of their first choice players injured, can't see any other outcome but a comprehensive victory for Tipp.

Re: Dublin -v- Tipp
Don't know what the bookies have the handicap as but Dublin + 7 would be about right.......
Dublin are quite a solid team but still have a couple of weaknesses especially in their forward line where O'Callaghan & McCrabbe are sub standard (not saying they are not good hurlers, but they will not be able to cope physically with Tipp's defence)...............

Even if Dublin had those 4/5 players they would get hockeyed. They are making great strides though, even if they got a lot of money from the GAA.

Re: Dublin -v- Tipp
I agree, can't see the Dublin forwards causing too many problems but I can see the Tipp forwards causing havoc again. An opportunity to put the heeby geebies up Kilkenny and scare the proverbial s*** out of them methinks. Give Kilkenny something to stew on for the next 3 weeks.
No disrespect to Dublin, but they are not quite there yet.
Also, Daly needs a positional settlement for Liam Rushe. Cracking young player that he is, he is moved around too much. I think he plays best anywhere on the half-back line.

Right! I'm gonna put it out there. Dublin will win because they've done so much better than expected this season, and are playing with a renewed confidence despite injuries. They can only go up from here. They've no pressure or high expectations - leave that to Tipp, so the Dubs can go hell for leather and score loads of goals, which they need to aim for every time against a side like Tipperary.
UP THE DUBS!!!!!

You're letting yourself for a big fall Cari. They're good but well behind the rest, think the Blaahs might beat them.

Ha Thomond it's close between us and yourselve's now. It should be interesting to see the Tipp back's trying to smash Ryan O Dwyer up, when we played them in the league they were all out to get him. Hopefully the minor's can win against Waterford.

Oh dear, nasty accidental clash of two Waterford players just before half time. One player substituted, but they both seem to be OK.

First yellow card for Waterford.
6-18 4-13 after 59 minutes. It's unfortunate that I can't understand Gaelic and there's a Dubs player called Kilkenny...

Wow! what a first half! The dubs showing more bottle than Dairy Crest. They're not making it easy for Tipp that's for sure. I wonder if it'll be like 1961 all over again? (Tipp won that match against the Dubs by just one point).

Tipperary have just about beaten Dublin. It wasn't easy by any means. The only difference being Corbett's early goal which wasn't spectacular.

Re: Dublin -v- Tipp
A cracking game,Dublin left in an incredibly soft goal but were defensively sound after that. There tactics hampered them when they went down a few scores,I thought they showed a bit of naievity(yes,I know I more than likely spelt it wrong) in the second half. Why would you go long when you have brought a forward back? Would have made more sense to run at them and play low balls in. A great game and I enjoyed watching it,Dublin could win one in the next few years especially with their u-21s still going strong and if a few of those minors make the step up...

Re: Dublin -v- Tipp
Yeah Corbett's goal was let in early on, but Dublin just played their guts out after that. They were all over Tipperary, and Maguire was a saviour in goal, Pete Kelly was superb under the high ball too. If he, or Maguire aren't MOTM this week then there's something wrong with the pundits at RTE. I'm just so proud for them because everyone was banging on about how Tipp had battered Waterford by seven goals and the Dubs didn't stand a chance against a side like that. I can't help wondering about what the score would've been if Dublin hadn't been so unlucky with injuries. Still, the Dubs hurlers have come a long way this year. I'm really pleased for them.

Great year for Dublin hurling. Tipp had a little bit too much for us today but we will be back next year even stronger.

Dub - at least Dublin lost to a fantastic side like Tipperary, and not by much either. That was a performance the lads can be very proud of. I hope the minors win their final, and the footballers do well too!

Just read that Joey Boland was picked as MOTM. Still think it should've been Kelly but there we are. I've no idea how they pick their man.

Had Boland picked as my MOTM in the stadium, was wondering who RTE gave it to though.
Massive game from us, to be honest at the start of the game I was hoping to keep it within 10 points, but they battled hard and very nearly won through. Maybe in a few years, with a bit of luck on their side we could see them go all the way.
