Great news now get to pay for the priviledge of watching a fight and won't be able to do so in high definition if I chuck them an extra fiver do you think they can transmit it in black and white.

What did you expect? Money Mayweather to start giving a **** about people?

Rowley, for an extra fiver I reckon they'd send someone round to giving you a second running commentary in the style of Kenneth Wolstenholme

Looking forward to Primetime re-appearing to tell us how Victor Ortiz is the greatest welterweight since Sugar Ray Robinson hung up his gloves with the kind of power that makes Tommy Hearns look like Barrie Jones or some such over the top guff.

Wouldn't it be Sod's Law that Ortiz and Floyd put on a 12 round thriller with seven KD's and Floyd losing on a Channel only seven people are watching (including the Director and cameraman)?

I would try and look for the positives and say we will not have Jim Watt to endure but as Primetime tends to mean we have Duke Mckensie and more importantly have to pay for the priviledge of Duke Mckensie I am really not so sure there is much in the way of a silver lining.

Given I won't be paying for it, I'm feeling quite pleased!

Whilst I think Mayweather has the ability to put on a boxing clinic here, I believe that if he schools Ortiz for 12 rounds beating him up at will, all it does is make Manny less inclined to sign on the dotted line therefore, I think you get another Mayweather/Marquez display with Floyd in second or third gear and people begging him to put his foot on the gas.

My unborn child would never forgive me!

Nothing to sell at the minute. I have a few old DVD's I'm trying to shift at the minute, might start a thread to get shut of them.

I can't believe we're going to have to pay for Mayweather, he's obviously PPV worthy but has been shown free on Sky for years.

Guys - just to fill you in on the details.

Primetime and I were aware of them getting the rights a few weeks ago but the information was enbargoed.

However, both the Primetime site and other places have now reported it so its in the public domain.

It will obviously be on at stupid O'clock again as its being held in the states.

One final thing - if you are intending on buying this event, please do so through our link. The last event (Khan) had very poor results with regards of people using our link.

The reason why it is important is that the more traffic Primetime can see coming through our link, the more things they can offer us in the future with regards to free streams and competition prizes.

If we get people signing up through the link, they are more likely to give us bigger and better prizes going forward.

Make sure that if you do decide to pay for the event (which I think will be a good card and lets face it, its Mayweather which doesnt happen every day/month/year), then please do so here:

Scott - the information was given to me and I was asked not to reveal it by Primetime. Hence why I said it was embargoed.

It may well have been revealed elsewhere - I was respecting the wishes of Primetime who have been excellent to deal with so far and been very helpful.

Wow, a farcry from the Beeb har har...

I wouldn't mind paying to watch the fight but their feed quality is pooooooor. It's almost as thought someone has rubbed poop into my eyes and made me watch ITV Big Night Fights.

In retrospect, it's game over for us boxing fans. We were starting to see some big US fights on Sky outside PPV but now we're forced into paying a further £15 for a "Big Fight"... and to think, this has happened due to Khan throwing his toys out of the pram over Mckloskey and GBP's threat of removing all of their fighters from Sky.

Sky have created a monster in Khan by feeding him cash and branding him the next big thing, and look where the fans have been left?

And I though Football was a corrupt shoddy mess.

There streams have got a lot better - I watched the last PPV they did (the Alex Reid fight) as did a couple of other people on here and the quality has improved immensely.

Hopefully the two comp winners of the Reid fight will testify to the quality (not the actual fighting of Alex Reid - that was mince!)

I will be the first to admit some of the earlier stuff they did (Frochs early stuff) was poor, however, it has come on leaps and bounds.

Bearing in mind they own channel 5, the quality will be the same as the Fury/ Chisora bout.

Hopefully they'll take CH5 back to it's routes and show a little soft-core after 11pm.

In all fairness the Fury Chisora feed was alright, but there's something fishy going on here Hobo. Primetime hasn't got you in his seedy little pocket has he?

Haha!

As Hobo says, the low down of it is that if 606v2 members are seen to be buying the Primetime feeds then Primetime will take more of an active involvement in 606v2, holding more competitions, and giving away better prizes...can only be a good thing, surely?

I am big enough and ugly enough to ignore the sales pitch he came up with for the Judah fight, the only thing that really gets my goat is his assertion that they wanted to "engage" with fans but then I don't think we saw him after the fight, unless of course I missed it. You would have thought they would, at least, have started a thread for some feedback on what us "fans" thought of the whole thing.

The cynical sector of this board might just think he was only interested in selling the product and not what we thought about the production. Not me, you'll understand. I'm sure it was just a oversight and a "Khan v Judah: The verdict" thread is about to be unleashed from Primetime.

PrimeTime can go screw themselves. No way putting money in the pocket of this tin pot outfit to watch a fight Sky Sports should be showing for free and wouldve been had Khan not spat the dummy and ran to them over the McCloskey farce. This kind of thing has been killing the sport for too long, no way I'll subsidise another PPV outfit looking to screw money out of boxing fans whilst not giving a hoot about the way they are marginalising the sport.

He's a good puncher, but it'll take a hell of a lot more than that to trouble mayweather. Skills pay the bills, mayweather will own Ortiz from rd 4 onwards.

I'd be surprised if it takes as long as round 4, I expect complete domination from the start to the end from Floyd - Ortiz has been very much over hyped since the Berto win I feel, just remember it wasn't long ago that he was looking very village against Peterson.

I'm probably not going to do that, as it would give the impression my decision to buy the fight was in any way influenced by Primetime hawking his wares on here like some floozy in an Amsterdam window, I am a fully grown man who has followed the sport for 20 years and whilst my knowledge falls some way short of encyclopedic I know enough to decide for myself if a match up is valid and worthy of my investment without being bombarded by 2 months of hyperbole and guff or without having the vague possibility of winning a T shirt I'll never wear.

Primetime Website

I'm probably not going to do that, as it would give the impression my decision to buy the fight was in any way influenced by Primetime hawking his wares on here like some floozy in an Amsterdam window, I am a fully grown man who has followed the sport for 20 years and whilst my knowledge falls some way short of encyclopedic I know enough to decide for myself if a match up is valid and worthy of my investment without being bombarded by 2 months of hyperbole and guff or without having the vague possibility of winning a T shirt I'll never wear.

Easy now Jeff. Primetime was only trying to "engage" with us fans.

Let's face it though, Jeff, it is certainly no worse than Sky...they managed to hype Haye vs Harrison for crying out loud!

Don't think anyone can seriously over hype this one with regard to an upset though. Ortiz isn't good enough, Mayweather is superb, therefore I expect a comprehensive beating, however I will be tuning in to watch the sublime skills of Floyd, and for no other reason.

I'm with Rowley on this one.

I didn't purchase the fight - why? Because it was always going to be a one sided joke of a fight. I don't give two monkeys how many times he wishes to ram propoganda down our throats - i wouldn't have changed my mind.

Inkeeping with house rules i'm not sure why he's allowed to create numerous duplicate threads that do little other than to promote the Primetime brand.

I'm not getting arsey, it's just that there were a fair few of us not particularly happy with what was basically one big 2 month long sales pitch.

At least Sky showed Audley Haye in high definition, sorry for bringing up the T shirt Union, I realise that wound is still sore.

I will remind you of this when the elusive Primetime returns.

Think you're forgetting you could have won a T shirt Coxy made having two months of Khan hyperbole rammed down your throat acceptable. D4 got slated on here for only commenting on one subject and bombarding the board with threads on that subject, maybe he should have offered to give people a T shirt, he'd have been fine.
