Morning all

OTW - I like Adam Johnson and does make a difference. Pity Mancini doesnt give him a run.

I do think Downing is better but AJ is a good player IMO - takes players on and can shoot - unlike Wallcott

I think Adam Johnson has flashes of brilliance but is a bit like Walcott, he lacks consistency. He'll have a couple of good moments but waste many other good chances.

I rate AJ better than Wallcott as he has better ball control - can play on the wings and beat defenders.

Would have liked Arsene to have signed AJ when selling Nasri
Anyway, Arsenal up for deals and Wallcott has been sold Yahoo

Thats understandable Kamran. A player of his ability and with his record would normally be the best player in the world, easily, in most era's. He's unfortunate that he is playing at the same time as Messi, and that Messi plays for Barcelona really...

Either 3-0 to England, or a nervy 0-0 with Bale tearing us to shreds.

To be honest, I think we'd play better if we were against a top team. We won which is what counts, the performance wasn't there but it's all about the three points. If Man Utd, Chelsea, or even Spain, Germany play badly but win, it gets called 'a winning mentality' Maybe Capello has instilled this into the players?

OTW - I don't we we would get the ball back against a top team. We did well on the wings but in midfield Ramsey was dominating.

The thing is that England have not performed very good against a top team for quite a while and cannot expect them to do it straight away.

Our CM is the problem...as always

I dunno - Wilshere was out for the game, and I think Walcott would pose questions with his pace against some aging left backs.

Think Wilshere and Milner would be a very strong midfield partnership. Between them there'd be plenty of energy and both can go in with a tackle, I think Milner gets a lot of unfair stick.

Belief seems to be the problem as well. I always say that the mood of the players mirrors that of the fans no matter what the players say in public. At present, as England fans, can any of us say we're confident of getting a result against the big countries? Or even some of the smaller ones? I'm not confident at all and I think the players, deep down, feel the same. Not too surprising that they do not perform really.

Not sure how best to instill that confidence but don't think Capello is the man to do it. 'Arry is what we need imo.

I think Capello was picked for the job because he is a winner, has won trophies all over Europe. He can also control some of the big egos in the dressing room.

I think some players are full of belief, looking at Young and Rooney I think they're full of confidence from the start they've had together at United

I agree Milner gets unfair stick but he is a 'grafter' rather than a creator in midfield.

I cant see England dominating the CM against the big boys though

Gerrard in for Lampard
Wilshere in for Gareth Barry mad
Cleverley used more
Bent used as striker alongside Rooney maybe.
Walcott/AJ in for Downing.

Think we'd be a much better side with this.

How are you guys feeling about this weekend's matches?

I guess you're brimming with confidence otw although Bolton can always be tricky. Arsenal really ought to get their season going on Saturday. A man sausage up in that match would be a real concern for the Gooners.

Yeah I'm really confident in the game, I feel sorry for Berbatov and his treatment. He's now fourth choice striker. Bolton are always a tricky opponent though, I agree. We've had players go away on internationals while most of Bolton's squad can prepare for this game. I reckon Utd win, but a close-ish game.

Arsenal should beat Swansea, wonder how many of their new signings will start? Very interested in how Arteta mainly performs.
