If this is the Scotland team we face in a few weeks then I'm not worried at all unless the heavens open! Only Evans has any flair in that team!
cotland: Paterson, Evans, Ansbro, S Lamont, Danielli, Jackson, Blair, Jacobsen, Ford, Cross, Gray, Kellock (capt), Brown, Barclay, Vernon. Replacements: Lawson, Dickinson, Hines, Rennie, Cusiter, Parks, R Lamont.

surprised more clubs haven't tried this. Nathan Charles has gone to Gloucester and now Chambers to Munster. Seems a good idea to me

I've seen stuff on a number of sites saying Bakkies could be out completely Chris, Rugby Week was one of them.

Will be a big blow for the Boks, isnt Matfield meant to miss out on Sunday too? Maybe the Welsh could cause an upset!
And then lose to both Samoa and Fiji :-)
Pete thanks a lot for posting my tactics - didnt think I'd get back on today!

Does mention Bakkies injury. he would be in there no doubt.
If PDV thinks having Smit in the team is so important then I'd have him at either 1 or 3 as BDP is the best in the world in his position. Probably stick him ahead of JDP.

Anyone see anything other than an NZ win tomorrow?
I see a tight first 30 but then NZ running the show. With the AB's picking up a few knocks

I can see NZ dominating at the first 20 but then a few big hits make them wary and they'll pull away in the last 10.

I reckon we'll do you. Can't understand why you've made so many changes!!!
I'd have you as big favourites with last weeks side but see a lot of surprising changes.
How did Halavatau go last week?? He could make or break the game.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Shingler, Allinson and Halavatau.
Peel is our catalyst and Allinson isn't in his league whereas Hodgson is and could get to Peel and try to stop him. I'd have seen this as a game for Jarvis with Bowden at 12.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
I think we are set up to try to play some attacking running rugby Steve, and Allinson - Bowden - Shingler is better for that than Hodgson - Jarvis - Bowden.
Jarvis was clueless against Quins and didn't give our backs any real chance to cause the opposition problems, so I think it's a good selection from Booth, although would have preferred Dodge at 9 for that extra defensive stability he brings.
Big Faan is not in the 23 so is possibly injured which explains Halavatau starting. He did ok last week when he came on, and to be fair Faan offers nothing in the loose and is not the scrummager he was 2/3 years ago, so it's probably a good call in any case.

I'm fairly confident, we have a good record against Sale.
Upfront will be close but think we have more in the backs.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Franks is really dominating Tonga, didn't think I'd see that. Think that puts away any doubt that Franks isn't a top class scrummager!
Good game, Tonga fronting up really well. Dagg, Kahui & Nonu very impressive. SBW done some great things, best game in a black jersey I think.
Dagg surely has to start ahead of Mils

When did he dominate him Pooly?? I missed the first 15 but after that I don't remember than happening. Went backwards a few times but nothing I'd consider domination.
I was impressed with the Tonga 9, I thought he was the prop forward!!

Thought Franks had edge on all game, esp beginning of 2nd. Tonga went off at 50mins, his replacement was very impressive.

I could do with Tonga'uhia taking a few maulings. Along with Hartley on the Eng bench it might make people realise that Mujati is a top prop rather than this ridiculous fallacy that he is carried by them.

Seems strange to drop PDJ and not Mujati then if that's the case. Haven't seen any of the Saints v Gloucester game so no idea how they played except that they were both brought off before the hour.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
PDJ played LH, don't think he's fully up to speed with Saints yet although he played well and gave Gloucester 3 issues. I like Mujati but he wasn't at his best on Sunday. Counted 3 pens against him in first half. Sure it was a one off.

ESPN stats has Mujati conceding 1 and PDJ conceding 3. As I said I haven't watched the game so you may well be right with the penalty count.
marler been cited for his punch on Lahiff. Not what I needed.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Yea that's def wrong mate. Only seen PDJ concede a free kick and no pens(although Matt reckons he seen one). I was pretty eagle eyes on the scrums and see Mujati do two in a row at one point.
PDJ did concede a fair few pens in the loose though, looked a bit like he was settling in tbh. Kept getting caught out.
