Pocock was brilliant against Russia and the Saffers, and was good against the AB's, just outdone by arguably the best player ever to play the sport.

Struggling at loosehead as I don't think there has been a totally outstanding one. If pushed I would probably opt for Gethin Jenkins.

Burger's got to be up there for the Boks too, can't stand the bloke but he was like a man possessed this WC. Kaino and Lydiate up there too.

Wouldnt have any Aussies, they've been so disappointing.

Wouldn't have Hari in there, as he was woeful in the group stages - I couldnt call it between Faletau, Parisse and Read.

Phillips was my standout no9 - thought he had his best game in years against the French.

Really sad state of affairs when not a single England player has been mentioned...

Gorgodze was phenomenal as he is in the top 14.

Kahui would be above Ioane and Jane for me. has been fantastic every game.

Kahui really impressed me - it seems as though rugby has got to the stage where NZ are streets ahead of everyone.

I'm still so disappointed in England, they've got the players but havent a clue how to get the best out of them. Need a major shakeup there now - would people want a foreign coach?

I hope we dont go for SCW he;s been out of rugby for years and years and it'd be a huge risk if we appointed him.

Aussies didnt quite live up to their attacking best if you ask me.

tough to pick out one player who you would put in the team of the tournament, maybe Horwill, but no-one else stands out for me.

Yes, they could have been better, but far from 'so disappointing' IMO.

McCabe was very good, Beale showed moments of his magic, JOC played very well, Horwill was immense at times....

Look at the injuries they dealt with and still made the semis.
A very young side that will get better and better.

Luke - and how did the Aussies stand up against the Irish and All Blacks? I wouldn't have a single one of their players in the best XV of this world cup, not a single one of their big named players stood up for me - Genia and Cooper were poor and I was disappointed with them considering how much had been said about the team in the run up.

I think the French are a team full of individuals capable of brilliance, but as a team they have been awful in this WC. Two losses in the group stage (the Tonga game should have been by 25+ points if the Tongan's could catch), an off form England team nearly beat them after gifting them a 16 point lead and the Welsh dominated them with 14 players. They dont deserve to be in the final. And the Japanese almost surprised them too!

Think they've been the luckiest team in the tournament, only Parra's boot would get into a world XV...

Yes, they lost to Ireland - and didn't perform very well.

But losing to the AB's? Hardly shocking is it? As you have said earlier..."it seems as though rugby has got to the stage where NZ are streets ahead of everyone."

Parra's boot? Yachvilli has been their main kicker...
Thier pack has been great IMO. Back row in particluar.

Australia disappointed me, thought they were really poor in comparison to how they could have been.

I also think the French have been shockingly bad, as each of their performances have shown since the start of the tournament. They've made the English 2007 team look like world beaters.

How were France excellent Steven? England were woeful and should have beaten them by the end! Read the comments of everyone who has played them and they all say they've been very poor.

Mike Phillips was scathing of how poor they were against Wales - don't think they deserve to be in the final at all.

Tough one to name WC team, some close calls with a few positions having no real standout.

1. Healy (Really tough, no standout from semi teams)
2. Servat
3. Franks (Jones & Ross push close)
4. Thorn
5. POC (Back to his best)
6. Kaino (Nobody else anywhere near)
7. Warburton (Good every game, McCaw outstanding v Aus, Brussow and Pocock also right up there, toughest position to call)
8. Parisse (Falateu and Read less so push close)

9. Weepu (Outstanding every game he's played)
10. ????? ( I don't think any FH has stood out)
11. Ioane (North a close call)
12. Nonu
13. Tuialgi
14. Jane (Bowe, JOC & Clerc close)
15. Beale (Dagg superb v Aus but think Beale was Aus standout player)

I'm after a good quality OC if anybody is selling one thumbsup

Bowe close to best wing??????????????????????????????!!!!?

Clerc, kahui, Ashton and about a million above him. Thought he had a poor wc. Ioane played a few games but can't be considers.

Good call on Healy though he was excellent although the first time he was against a decent scrumming th was not as good

My team of the tourament:

1. Healy
2. Best (no real stand out)
3. Ross
4. Thorn
5. POC (back to his very best this world cup and shockingly seemed to have developed a good carrying game this world cup!!)
6. Kaino (Lydiate and SOB deserve mentions here)
7. Warburton
8. Parisse (Falateau runs this close though ben massive for the welsh)
9. Phillips (Conor Murray was cracking as well for Ireland)
10. Priestland
11. Jane (Someone not mentioned yet but who has had a cracking world cup is Keith Earls!)
12. Nonu
13. Smith
14. Clerc
15. Dagg

Biggest dissapointment was Quade Cooper. Has done nothing against anyone of note!

Also Aaron Cruden looking pretty damn good so far considering hes basically a rookie at this level. Should have been at the world cup from the very start over Slade

Dus is a top player , that's a fact I'll never dispute but they are so many more players who deserve a nomination than him. Carter , Cooper , Read , Parisse and Sean O'brian. Surprised Masi didn't get a mention after the 6n award.

Kaino didnt have a great S15
