This is the fourth in a series on player profiles which details a player from each competing nation at the iRB Rugby World Cup. In this article, we will look at Argentine back Martin Rodriguez Gurruchaga. Having first made a name for the Argentine 7s side and the Jaguars, he signed for Stade Francais. Capable of playing both inside centre and full back, he will most likely occupy the No. 15 jersey in the upcoming World Cup.

Rodriguez has already established himself as an integral part in the Argentine side especially in the November Tour in 2009 when he accumulated all of Argentina's points. A competent goal kicker, should Contepomi remain flaky in this facet of play, he will become an immediate improvement. It's not just his kicking though that makes him stand out, he is a fine counter attacker and runs some good lines that will be needed with a midfield that is somewhat lacking in strike runners.
