I'm in and have gone totally against what my head tells me and have gone for a dragons win away against Munster. Madness? Probably!

Sorry, scrap that comment by me. I thought this was the sports guru prediction competition that I've entered. I may have a go at this though...

Private 606 league at all?
Griff- back you up on that Dragons result! All the way. Well... maybe. If the bounce of the ball goes your way. No, I probably won't actually.

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
Ian Humphreys is quite low priced because of the Ulster palce kicking duties alternating between himself and Pienaar. But with Pienaar away at the RWC, I think its a bit of a bargain for the start of the league. He was consistent with the boot last year and got in for a few tries as well.

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
Just joined. There's a few funny players included. Lots of Dragons development players who will turn out for the semi pro clubs in the region but rarely if ever for the Dragons, E.g. They've given a choice of 6 Dragons number 8s! But only 1 Blues no.8 (Rush)???
Also, you can pick Gavin Quinell for the Scarlets, but he retired about a year ago due to blindness... May give him a miss then.

Hah! Paddy Wallace is Ulsters highest scoring player from last season. I'm not sure how he beats Humph and Pienaar but apparently... he does.

I joined that league you created Notch. I've made a few strange choices which could be great or could flop.
Happy with my team though.

Cheers Notch, I've added your pool details to the sticky https://www.606v2.com/t11914-rugby-tipping-fantasy-games#423574
I'm currently in 8 different Tipping/Fantasy coms across 3 sports and 5 tournaments/leagues so I think this one is one too far for me.

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
If the best teams in the league are Munster, Leinster and Ulster thats understandable
I've got 9 Irish based players in my team - (3 Munster, 3 Leinster, 2 Ulster, 1 Connacht). Then 2 from Ospreys, 1 Blues, 1 Dragon, 1 Scarlet, 1 Edinburgh.

Good team McKay. I've gone for:
van der Merwe, Strauss, Archer
O'Driscoll, Tuohy
Tirpuric, Naoupu, Turnbull
O'Leary, Tovey
Laulala, Spence
Fitzgerald, Davies, Visser
Beattie is a great call at number 8 BTW.

Yeah I had a flash of inspiration remembering he wasn't going to the world cup. He should be chomping at the bit too.
Being half welsh, half scottish I've kept my team as a combo of the two nations. think it would do ok.
Red stags are looking good for the new season too...

Yeah, but a few weird ones. Keatley is very high- some of the guys at the RWC are high but they'll be decent marquee signings later in the season.
As far as I can tell what they've done is they've looked at last season, taken the stats for each individual player, fed them into the system and then priced players based on how many points they scored last year. So Chris Henry and Pedrie Wannenburg are priced much higher than the injury prone and international absentee Stephen Ferris, for example.

Keatley is the biggest gamble of the lot Mick. VERY VERY expensive, in his first season for Munster. He'll get game time but could crash and burn in a new environment.
If he kicks well then your looking at a good score Mick. Excellent team.

Jared Payne is set to arrive this weekend in Ulster. Not sure how quickly they'll want to rush him in if Adam D'Arcy is playing well.

Dom Ryan is more expensive than Sean O'Brien. D. Kearney and Fitz are the same. A few odd things, but overall it's very good.

That’s my gamble alright. I figure if any team is going to put up some big scores at the start of the season it would be Munster, and Keatley can score big in a poor team. which is a good thing since he’s playing for you lads.

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
Mick but O'Brien will miss a huge amount of game time. Ryan was an excellent performer last year and will get a lot of games.
Fitz doesn't score many tries and was probably backed to travel to RWC.

That happened to me once but I just refreshed and it was fine. Jared Payne won't arrive until the start of next week, probably won't be involved for a week or two.
