I went for Dirksen cause he was so cheap but then realized they have Madigan down as a winger so switched them.

Anyone with Visser in their team is going to be flying ahead after that hatrick - unfortunately I'm not one of those people

So do i, and Madigan, and Kris Burton.
73 points this week. But the table hasn't been updated, what scores are the rest of you getting?

Mickado - 68 at the moment, I didn't adjust my squad to who was playing this weekend, so had four who didn't play (that is my excuse and I am sticking to it!)

So it begins again, a season long rivalry 'tween SSM and Mickado, their teams meeting 4 times at least, their fantasy rugby teams destined to stay seperated by the smallest of margins...

Nah, mpc28 (the winner last year i think) is on 78, he had Visser, Prydie and everyone else scored pretty well. I'm second though, think Rava is 3rd (70 points).

70 Points is correct Mickado. 54th overall.

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
Well you get points from your forwards if they score or if they can not concede a try. So pick forwards from the best defensive packs or the ones likely to nick a try themselves. I would pick Toner over Cullen every day of the week for that reason. Tuohy got a few last season, think I have him in my team…

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
I am on 63 points which is a solid if unspectacular start.
The one decision that came back to haunt me was choosing Dirksen over Prydie. I was not sure if Prydie was going to be the goal kicker for the Dragons so opted for Dirksen as I thought he would score more tries.
I have just made my weekly substitution to switch this around as it looks like Prydie will be the first choice kicker down there.
It means I now have Prydie, Madigan, Kris Burton and Laidlaw as kickers in my back line.

Hmmm, I'm considering putting Prydie in there but then I'd have to drop Visser, they both scored 17 points last week but will Prydie kick that much every week, will Visser bag a hat trick every week....? Dilemma.

I hear you Mickado.
Pressure decisions at this stage of the comp. For me I tried to base my decisions around who was going to be playing in the Pro12 week in week out or were on the fringes of their respective international squads, with only 1 or 2 test starters in my lineup. I toyed with Visser as obviously his record over the last few years is very good. However he has been uninterrupted by international distractions in that period. So I just took the view that he is unlikely to play anywhere near usual pro12 games as he is now Scotland qualified and will more than likely be a starter for them. I will be down at the Arms park on Friday to watch Blues v Edinburgh so I just hope I don't come back here on Monday with egg on my face.

I think most of us are scratching our heads on that one! The one transfer limit is a bit much at this stage. I've had to accept a few penalties. I reckon Nick Williams will bag a few for Ulster this season.

Agree on that one. Considering getting him in there for Auva'a. But when will Wilson be available to Ulster? Do either of them play in any backrow position other than 8?

I can't see Williams playing anywhere else but Wilson could play 6 I suppose but with Diack playing well its not likely. I think when Wilson is fit he will be first choice with Williams as an impact sub. He could still get a few tries though.

Yea Williams fitness will see him lose oit, but only as far as the bench. His impact on the last 20 minutes against a tiring opposition is simply a frightening prospect!

I think the team that you can see is the team that someone picked for the previous week. You can't see all of the live transfers that your mates are doing, that way you'd just have to beat them in week 1, and make all the same transfers as them until the end of the season and you'd beat them.

I'm taking it very seriously Rav, for the reasons SSM has suggested, was firmly in second place until the last week when i was cruelly overtaken, aint going to happen again.

Mick - who won last year? I remember that quite often they didn't have a full side, they seemed to be having star players (Nacewa, Pienarr, Halfpenny etc) that would be scoring huge and empty spaces (like missing props or locks).

Same here. I didn't really give it much thought last year but i've decided to cut down on these type of games and only concentrate on this and superbru predictions.
I think MPC won it last year, the fella who's top of the league again. Does he even post on here? Can we please get rid of him...?

So how many transfer penalties are you guys taking a hit on?
I'm on two as it stands. which is a 6 point reduction. Hope it's worth it. Waiting for teams to be announced later. Might make more changes, or undo some.
Which teams are likely to be big scorers this weekend?
Leinster? After Feeling the hurt from last week?
Munster against Treviso? (Or can Treviso cause another upset?)

Took Michael Patterson out because he didn't play last week and ain't in the squad this week, put Sam Lewis in because he is cheap, played last week and has been banged on about as the future welsh openside (man there are millions of them). Just looked at the Ospreys side and they have dropped him had to change him then

One change. Browne out Roux in. A couple of my forwards are on the bench but should feature. Not worth sacrificing 3 points to replace a forward. All my backs feature from the start.
