ONe wouldn't happen to be playing his first game for Ulster (well in a while) this weekend?

I wish you could make more than 1 change without penalty. Teams change so much every week that its almost impossible to resist the temptation do do 2 or 3 changes every time to avoid Nil scores.

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
This is getting tricky.
Greg Laidlaw is rested
Navidi is rested
Ryan Wilson rested
Johann Muller injured
O'Driscoll not playing
Lou reed on the bench
Could be a rough week for me unless I make the changes and take the hit. Again.

DrNick - the chances are only worth making if they are going to score mind. What is hte point in making a chance for a cost of 3pts, if he is only gonna earn 2ptys and need changing next time out? Really tough situation.
Last season they did do a few bonus weeks wehere you could make 3 changes, around HEC weekends and AIs and 6Ns, I think.

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
I got lucky last week. I had like 9 players out. made four changes and three of my changes scored!
But easiliy my four changes could have just got me two points each after costing my 3.
Its a risk. I wouldnt bother with forwards. Worth it maybe if its your out half or wingers.
Havnt even looked to see what the damage is this week yet!

Yeah, your right. Most of these are just rested for a week and then they will be back. Not worth the cost of the transfer.

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
As it stands I've already got four players out and theres still 6 teams not announced yet.
Its got to the point that being conservative might see you survive.
But the winners of the game will be those who gamble and get lucky.
Having players get zeros will put in a distinctly average position.
Taking a risk and losing will see you done for!
Taking a risk and getting lucky will set you in a high and lofty position above the boring conservatives!!

Clive, no George North or Scott Williams for Scarlets. Looked at your team and you must have at least 7 non-starters.

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
Oh no, I have 3 Scarlets in my team. 2 are rested and 1 on the bench. I think I have to write this week off.
Only 3 starters and 2 on the bench from my forwards. Just made 3 changes to my backs, I hope it pays for itself.

Need a try from one of the other changes though!

I've annoyed him too much lately, i don't want to email him again! It does seem to be a hobby on his part. Fair play to him, but maybe we just have to sit back and wait on his timing!
I'm not sure how well I've done. Tries from Williams and Barbieri and maybe one other. Dan Parks was my kicker. I might have done ok. Not excellent, but ok.

Big chance for you to overtake me this week Clive.
I've made my transfers and am taking a 12 point hit straight off.
By the way, Ballymoney to come away from Rugby Avenue this Saturday with another win? Should be a good game.

I can't decide on what winger to pick! Only have one change to make and can't decide! Bowe V Connacht? Visser V Treviso? Dirksen V Zebre?
This could be so crucial!

Tough call. Already have Visser and Prydie as wingers but otherwise I would be going for Dirksen. he is in good form and I was tempted to swap him for Visser but have made other more important changes this week like bringing in Biggar. Hopefully points galore against Zebre.
Hang on why am I saying this, you are just above me.

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
I could rue this! I think Bowe might do well. But considering he scored twice last week, whats the chances of him scoring a few again a week later? Also, Dirksen playing V Zebre in Italy might have better weather for high pace running rugby. Treviso are no pushover so I'm not sure there will be many Edinburgh tries.
I also, realised something last minute which could be helpful!

Cannot believe it, I contemplated for about 5 minutes whether to bring in Barbieri or Shingler and went for Shingler in the end.

I demoted Navidi for Barbieri after his performance last week. So I had Barbieri in my team for the last 5 days ready and then decided against the change at about 5pm today and took him back out.
What do I know.
I did bring in Biggar today though so it looks like that one move has worked out nicely.

My backs are woeful this week so far. Dan Parks got NOTHING!
Thank goodness for Williams and Barbieri.
Barbieri is phenomenal. Something like 7 tries in 4 games now???

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
Through this week I decided to make about 5 changes and just go for it.
In the end I decided that that was too bold so I reversed my decisions to pick Barbieri and BOD. And they scored 3 tries between them.....damn!
Lucy for me my other changes included Biggar and Nick Williams. I also had 3 Ulster forwards.

Yes. 79 points for me this week.
If only I hadn't had that last minute change of heart and kept Barbieri and BOD in.
Halfpenny kicked a penalty but he doesn't seem to have any points up??? Anyone know why. Is it because he left the field.

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
I have 5 players with no score at the moment but Tom Ryder will get me 6, Sexton will get me 18/19/20 maybe? And I should get 4 or 5 from the rest combined. I'm on 43 points now so maybe I could hit 70 this week. I'll hardly move up in our league though, toight as a toiger. Like I said, I'm never taking a holiday again.

Re: Fantasy RaboDirect Pro 12
Bored at work, so far the team of the league (going by the rules of the Fantasy site) are
15 D Evans (Dra)
14 T Prydie (Dra)
13 McFadden (Lei)
12 Macken (Lei)
11 Madigan (Lei)
10 Keatley (Mun)
9 Laidlaw (Edi)
1 Cusack (Gla)
2 Hibbard (Osp)
3 D Jones (Osp)
4 Ryder (Gla)
5 I Evans (Osp)
6 O'Donnell (Mun)
7 Barbieri (Tre)
8 Williams (Uls)
I must be honest I would be rather suprised to see more than one or two of them mentioned when it comes to the Rabo Dream Team time at the end of the season.

AlwaysRunNeverKick - clivemcl - Ulster - 1241
ScarletSpidermen - ScarletSpiderman - Scarlets - 1226
Bob Loblaws Law Blog XV - Mickado - Leinster - 1209
Sitebury - BMCR - Leinster - 1172
