All-Ireland Fnal
The run up appears to be particularly quiet this year. Was super duper confident after the Munster Final. Confidence tempered somewhat after the semi-final against Dublin though I think Tipp will win and I'm going to stick my neck out and say that they will win well.
Can I have your predictions please.

Tough one to call alright but I would be leaning towards Tipp to come out on top.

Kilkenny will win imo. No offence to any Tipp fan's but I think they are overhyped.

Re: All-Ireland Fnal
This should be a real spectacle to remember. Two great sides, one looking to reassert dominance and the other looking to cement theirs. I can't call this one.....
Tipp are a great side but I think KK will be determined not to suffer consecutive defeats........
........Kilkenny by 4

Equally Tipp are determined to put back-to-back All-Irelands together for the first time in nearly 50 years.
Also I think there is a realisation among the Tipp fans and players that we have been living on past glories for far too long. After all, we have only won 5 All Irelands in 40 years. Not much of a return given our reputation.

Not sure about that double. Kerry & Tipp don't tend to win the same year. The last time was 1962. Kerry & Kilkenny tend to do well in the same year and since I fancy the Kingdom over the Dubs in two weeks time I will go for the Cats. Not very scientific or logical I know but as good as any other prediction as the counties are so close.

That's a good point. Everybody is expecting a very physical game. How physical will the ref allow it to be?

He has a reputation for letting everything go. Kilkenny are always pulling and dragging. Tipp are well up to their antics now.
Kilkenny want to be top dogs again. Tipp are still seething - we should be going for 3 in a row.
If Kilkenny win, it will be because of the ref making a bags of it. Tipp's younger legs to provide Lar with a chance to steal a goal at the death.
I've my ticket in the Hogan Stand. G'wan Tipp.

Hi That's it(sorry i can't speak irish),
You are saying then that the only way for KK to win is if the Ref lets KK away with stuff ??
Going back to when Limerick were in the final in 2007, KK players committed 3 seperate red card offences in the first 5 minutes and the referee bottled it...........i don't expect Brian Gavin to have the courage to referee this one by the rules book either...................

Players play the ref rather than the rules.

Re: All-Ireland Fnal
Jackie Tyrell charged Brendan Maher straight into the chest early in last year's final and wasn't booked, though he was booked lated in the game for a lesser offence. When Tommy Walsh found himself one-on-one with Lar Corbett in the second half he threw Lar to the gound and not even a free for Tipp. That should have been Tommy's 2nd yellow. The ref could feck up this game if he doesn't lay down a marker early. I'm more afraid of the ref than Kilkenny.

Re: All-Ireland Fnal
I cant claim any great knowledge of hurling. I have only ever seen two games live and the odd game on the t.v.
That said I would prefer Tipp to win. Does anybody think that would see the end of Cody and large parts of this Kilkenny team. If that happened would the obvious succesor be the Dubs.

With all Cody has done I think he will go when he wants to a bit like Sir Alex Ferguson at Man Utd. He's porbaly the greatest manager hurling has ever seen and probably ever will see. They would have to be mad to get rid of him unless results begin to slip.
Tip by 2 maybe a goal at the death or something like that

Indeed JB. Chuffed with it, although I felt a bit frustrated they didn't get the bonus point, and got a yellow card - already!

Re: All-Ireland Fnal
congrats to An Iarmhí in the intermeejit ladies semi.
I just watched it there on getting back from Sliga roevurs vs Derry. Limerick led at the start, and led well but got pinned back and overtaken.
Monaghan lead the Kingdomettes by 2-7 to 0-8 at HT. Maybe there is a wind or something to aid comebacks.
Just as I type that, Kerryettes get a goal at the start of the half. Need to get a move on looking at this, the x fator is on soon.

I'm watching oval ball Rebel - Munster v Gwent Dragons at Musgrave. Munster just got a super try. 8 - 3 before conversion.

I seen it on tg4.
Up for the match was boggery of the highest order.
The tipperary rap was good.
the crowd gasped at the mention of Davie Fitz. A gasp that said "what is that gobshite doing here?"
And a grand old giggle at Kilkenny football.
Compulsive viewing despite being Poopie

Morning Gaasters
Looking forward to the hurley final today. Hopefully I've got a good stream for it.
Rebel - Munster won last night 20 - 12. It was on S4C and repeated this morning on the same channel - I think S4C is available on Sky over there?

Minor final looks good so far but yeah, its weird in english. Ar aghaidh le cheile is right actually though I just saw it there. Its a few seconds behind the english one though not that it makes much difference.

I can only get 3 through the aerial. It doesn't come through sky up in the occupied territories.
I suppose I'll get used to it.
The Catholics out there will know that this week is the last ever week of the present missal. Next week there is a brand new mass in Ireland (first sunday in advent every place else) It is the first change since 1975.......it is gonna be strange.
