All-Ireland Fnal
First topic message reminder :
The run up appears to be particularly quiet this year. Was super duper confident after the Munster Final. Confidence tempered somewhat after the semi-final against Dublin though I think Tipp will win and I'm going to stick my neck out and say that they will win well.
Can I have your predictions please.

Cynical trips, dragging and pulling and even the boss of a hurl across the nose and he still doesn't punish them.

Re: All-Ireland Fnal
In fairness with the way they played they desevered to win tipp didn't look like playing well until before the end. If the game had gone on a while longer then maybe Tipp might have done it as Kilkenny looked very tired towords the end. Enjoyed the match thought, Tipp were always there abouts until the very end.
I'm a bit lost now seeing as there is no hurling til next year and the thought of a Dublin Kerry football final isn't exactly mouthwatering.

tis true that but my clubs hurling is finished for now apart from the team that I play with so theres not much going on.

Missed the final but souunds like a good game, the weather was urine poor though which probably didn't help the game as a spectacle.

Thom - the weather was crap early on, and the pitch was probably soggy, but the sun was out for most of the match. It was a good game anyway.

Re: All-Ireland Fnal
The match was only ok. Tipp were cleaned out in the half forwards and Kilkenny should have won by more as they were far superior. Tipp looked like a team without a coach. The few times they won the ball they just hit it aimlessly down the field and it was coming back at them just as quickly. Kilkenny passed the ball around and knew what they were doing. Declan Ryan seemed to be clueless on the sideline. Why they perservered with the long puck-outs when they were winning 0% of them I will never know.

Re: All-Ireland Fnal
Your right about Declan Ryan he was clueless. I think Liam Sheedy was a much better tactical manager and had got under Codys skin to a point, no idea why he left but they could do with him back.

Re: All-Ireland Fnal
Sheedy left because he is a Bank of Ireland employee and in the good old days, they could take half the year off to tend to "more important GAA matters"!!
No so anymore............(except for Donaghy, Cooper, Darran O'Sullivan)!!!!

Re: All-Ireland Fnal
It should be fascinating to see what the CCCC will do with Tommy Walsh after he takes the referee out with a hurley. A bit more serious than knocking a notebook out of the hand. If they do not act the CCCC should be disbanded immediately as it is plainly an anti-Kerry committee.

It is Tommy walsh. He shall be saddled with the mantle of hurler of the year as punishment.

Re: All-Ireland Fnal
Kilkenny and Cody get an easy ride from the media and Croke Park. It does'nt help that the Sunday Game panel on hurling ranges from banal to kiss-ass. No one is criticised. Every player is brilliant. Hurling is a bit of a sacred cow. I find the football panel and analysis more honest and robust.
You are right Rebel. He will not be punished and instead will be lauded and probably given HoY award.

Re: All-Ireland Fnal
I don't know now - he probably would have got MOTM on Sunday except for hitting the ref.
Rumours doing the round that Cody is retiring. If that is the case, no one will say a thing. Kilkenny do get a very easy ride. Probably because most the pundits are from Munster with all their own rivalries. You wouldn't expect a Clareman to have a good word to say about Tipperary, would you?

Tommy Walsh will deserve hurler of the year if he get's it. He's a bit dirty but I think some people are going too far about him, the top player's in most sport's will play on the edge and sometime's go over it.

Would you have given him MOTM on Sunday then?

Re: All-Ireland Fnal
Man of the match would have been a hard one there were about five Kilkenny players the could have got it and IMO Tommy Walsh would have been one of them yes.
