Re: NRL 2011 Finals Series
I'll post any team news and team line-ups when available.
Off the cuff I'd probably go for:
Tigers
Warriors (Broncos to get another crack in week 2)
Sea Eagles
Storm
Cowboys, Knights eliminated.
This would set up Week 2 Semis:
1st SF: Warriors v Dragons
2nd SF: Tigers v Broncos
If Melbourne, Manly & Broncos win but Tigers beat Dragons,
1st SF: Tigers v Warriors
2nd SF: Broncos v Dragons
If either the Cowboys or Knights win... then it gets very interesting.

Re: NRL 2011 Finals Series
Melbourne got hammered by the mighty Chooks.
40-8.
Would you believe I changed my fox tips today... nominating double points for this match. Just had that feeling you know.
Reason: It was the last match, meant nothing to the standings, was played at the SFS at night and the Roosters needed to go out with something positive.
Absolutely kicking myself I didn't put some money on it. Roosters 13+ was a very attractive $8.50

Re: NRL 2011 Finals Series
for mine and for what its worth:
St George to beat Wests.
Broncos to beat Warriors.(Even without Thaiday and Hoffman)
Melbourne to beat Newcastle (even without blair)
But for me the problem game is Manly v Cowboys. manly should recover from the Brisbane game, and I dont read too much into the Cowbays loss in Auckland as they never travel that well over to here.
The most likely outcome is that, this time next week , this posting will look very silly.

Results so far:
West Tigers 21 - 12 St George-Illawarra Dragons
Brisbane Broncos 40 - 10 New Zealand Warriors
Manly Sea Eagles 42 - 8 Nth Queensland Cowboys (eliminated)
So if Melbourne beat Newcastle, then Newcastle & Cowboys eliminated
and if Newcastle beat Melbourne, then Cowboys & Warriors eliminated

According to reports i've read the Broncos and the Sea Eagles were outstanding today. I think we're for a exciting final series with lots of skill on show.Linebreaker wrote:Results so far:

Yes mate, the Broncos started very strongly and never looked back and were at their glorious best.
Manly after a scoreless first half (0-8) were a totallt different side in the 2nd.
I don't know what Dessy said to them... but it worked!

Morning Breaker ,
There's a lot of sport coming up thats for sure , Hull KR had a good win beating Castleford 26 - 24 ( Cas played really well and we were lucky ) booking playoff game against either Catalans or Leeds .
i should get to see a bit more sports next week , shifts are better for me

I'd love the Warriors to do it but I can't see it happening Ill go for Wests and I think Broncs will hammer the Dragons. It should be and interesting grand final if Melbourne and Manly meet after the shamozzle's at Brookvale a few week's ago.

Re: NRL 2011 Finals Series
In the Toyota Cup, the NZ Warriors will be chasing a second consecutive Grand Final appearance when they take on the dark horses; the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, who held on to defeat a fast-finishing Melbourne Storm 22-20 - after leading 22-8 midway through the 2nd half.
On Friday night, the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks sent the Roosters out with a two tries to one 14-4 win and will now meet the Cowboys with the winner advancing to the Grand Final.
Sharks v Cowboys
Friday SFS, 17:15 AEST/08:15 GMT
Warriors v Bulldogs
Saturday, AAMI, 17:15 AEST/08:15 GMT
It would be good to see a Warriors - Sharks GF, perhaps?
Latest Betting:
NZ Warriors $1.60
Cowboys $4.50
Sharks $5.50
Bulldogs $11.00

If he has the operation on Sunday... still not enough time to recover.
