Re: NRL 2011 Finals Series
Maybe its just me , but Steve Matai seems to go up before the judiciary every september, even though he often shares it out amongst the other months as well, during the rest of the season.

Re: NRL 2011 Finals Series
He's always getting reported. Williams will probably get off. As for Matai - it's probably 50-50 because of all of his form.
Great win for the Warriors. It's OK Laurie, they're my second favourite team - coached by an old Manly player. I would be happy to see them win this year.

A good buzz about it. The Warriors are on a roll so it should be epic.
They're also in the Toyota Cup GF against the Cowboys and start as favourites.

I'm just hoping that the warriors can find that little bit extra this time and win the Grand Final.

Re: NRL 2011 Finals Series
I really dont care which team wins,as there are players in both teams which I would like to see do well, and the last thing I want to see is injuries...... Just hope everyone, has a big enjoyable day, just think of all the great players that never get/got to play in a grand final.

Re: NRL 2011 Finals Series
linebreaker
there has been a procession of Kiwis at manly since Darrell Williams. Before the warriors went into the Winfield cup,Manly was very much the Kiwi favourite, and Lowie cahed in on it.
Youre right I'll win either way.I'd even like to give both teams a gold ring.

I'm looking forward to a good game , do you think it will be a tight match up or will one team run away with it ?

I really do want the Warriors to win, but i have a feeling that the Sea Eagles will run away with it in the 2nd half.KingKenny7Heaven wrote:I'm looking forward to a good game , do you think it will be a tight match up or will one team run away with it ?

Re: NRL 2011 Finals Series
It's been raining all night... miserable day.
Don't know how much this will affect the game. Drainage out at Homebush is pretty good.
I keep bumping into Warriors fans.... some are very confident!

Manly were the better side on the day, but such a shame for the NZ Warriors.

Well done Manly, the better team one.
Good to see Steve Matai play the month of September without getting suspended or smashing a shoulder...

Re: NRL 2011 Finals Series
Busy last few days with my brother in town. He was lucky enough to go out to the game. We were both born in Manly and lived in about 3 different places in and around Manly and Fairlight... so it's like our spiritual home.
It's a special feeling when they win. I've worked out it averages 1 title every 5 years (8 titles in about 40 years; 72,73,76,78,87,96,08,11) but in reality there was sometimes a decade or just less than a decade in between GF wins. It's good to get two wins a few years apart.
We are now also equal with Canterbury-Bankstown on 8 GF wins.
I'm thrilled with the win but must admit I was very nervous leading up to it.
Just got back from Manly - the place is packed. They've closed off the streets around the Corso and it's like a fun park. Went past Brookie too. Every 2nd car has got flags or streamers. Lot's of happy looking people.
If the Warriors were to make the GF again next year versus either a Brisbane, Melbourne, Dragons, Bulldogs, Saints of course... even the Tigers - but not Cronulla or Panthers.... I would want to see them win it.
They had an amazing 31-30 win with seconds to go in the Toyota Cup but the Auckland Vulcans lost to the Bulldogs in the NSW Cup. Some amazing young players there - so confident. If they get graded next year then the Warriors may have some good years ahead.

Yeah she can belt it out.
I think she's done it before... I'm pretty sure she sang before the Panthers-Roosters GF in 2004?
