England vs Argentina - match thread.
My prediction was England by 10, so hopefully the Argentinians give a good account of themselves.
This will have to be a great match to live up to the one we have just seen.

All good high scoring games so far. I wonder if this one will break the mould - though to be fair to England and Argentina, this is probably the closest match on paper yet so one could expect it to be a bit cagier

Biltong its highky unlikely the next game will be as entertaining as the teams are well matched and try scoring opportunities will be few and far between in all probability....glad i got out of bed for the last one though!

Yeah i agree it won't be so open, but the physicality in the next match will be entertaining if both teams bring it on.

England should win this by 10 points or so. I don't see Argentina causing them much trouble.

England cannot afford to take Aregntina lightly if you want an example just look at the France v Japan game.
I hope England win and i expect England to win, but most of all i want England to play a free flowing game, Good luck England.

This doesn't look like a hugely experienced Argenitian team.

I love how passionate the Argentinians get during their anthem, so inspiring, you can see it really gets them fired up.

Lawrence Dallaglio is an awful presenter. He needs training. He knows his stuff, but just can't present it. Sorry ITV, but you could've done better.
I love seeing how emotional the players get during the anthems. Good to see lots of Puma support too.

In fairess to England (which is rare for me!), for all of the criticism they receive for the amount of foreign imports in their team, they've only got 1 'foreigner'/import starting today (Tuilagi), and he was schooled here. Not many nations will be able to boast that stat.

I wonder what the locals make of the England kit? I find it odd not seeing them in all white.

I can honestly see Argentinia causing England a few problems but England should be too strong for them in the end. I also have England by 10.

Evening gents. Just got in. Missed the japan game. Sounded like a good one.
New covered stadium for this one so there could be some scoring if they want to.
Looks like we are going to start seeing upsets.
The loser of this could be playing NZ so both will be wanting this.
Argies attacking this black team at the moment.
Go argie!

England need to watch their discipline. The Pumas will take whatever points they can.

Easter in penalty machine mode, England looking very nervous, need to settle, get some possesion, get some territory...

Re: England vs Argentina - match thread.
I doubt very much that England will underestimate Argentinia. They will know that they will have a very physical encounter. I think that it will be very close up until 65-70mins and then England will draw clear.

Re: England vs Argentina - match thread.
"England will have to come back from being behind to win this one." Nick Mullins.
Haha, typical commentary from a channel obsessed with football. Really made me laugh though. Technically true but come on! Don't be so dramatic Nick.
Anyway, enjoying the game, watched everyone of the WC so far and this is easily the most intense.

I don't want to sound fussy, but do they get their shirts from Primark or what? Numbers peeling off already, and SBW's shirt disintergrated yesterday.

Re: England vs Argentina - match thread.
what I don't get right, is that the ref has already warned England, they're still getting penalised....why no card? why bother warning them then?
Johnson didn't agree with that decision mind!
Felipe stepping up for a kick now..... oh ouch town, 9 points missed now!

Re: England vs Argentina - match thread.
I'm sorry but this is very one-eyed refereeing, Argentina are flopping to the ground at each ruck and somehow he pings England for going off their feet...

Re: England vs Argentina - match thread.
England's discipline must improve, they can't have no arguments if someone goes for 10 mins. NZ commentators getting on my nerves a bit, although probably more to do with the fact it's almost 3am here and I'm knackered than anything else.
Kit's a bit crap, wish they would have kept grey as their second strip.

it is a little concerning as an observer...however it is intended it comes across as a cheap swing at NZ and the numbers comin goff is frankly embarassing

Re: England vs Argentina - match thread.
He is a bit fussy this ref isnt he.. As long as he is consistent then its ok but if he was going to be then England should possibly have a man in the bin for 10 for repeated infringments and warnings.
