was it something to do with time at the crease without getting out kenny? I know he finished not out before smacking another load of runs in the second innings.

1965. I know they didnt have subs in the WC 66. So it must have only been in the league?

Re: Quiz Questions
Yes it was '65. I did say in the question that it was football league. Bob Knox of Barrow was the first player to come off the bench and score a goal in the football league. A lovely man who I knew through my brother-in-law. When he retired he ran the newsagents and sweet shop that we used to use on the way to school.

Ah cool story Davie. You touched off History man. Love it.
Ok, which football ground is the only one in Britain with a Pub on each corner outside it?
If it has changed, been equaled - I apologise. Its from memory. Not Google. I lived a few 100 metres from the ground in the past. Kids were born in that area.

Go Fernando! Saw the Bees gain promotion from the old 4th to the 3rd. Frank Worthington played that day. Great sideburns.
Elton John had just taken control of Watford who we played that day.
Place was packed.
Bovril was sublime... Not the player - the drink.
