Hmm not sure on this one, sounds like something from one of the Narnia books to me, but then I don't think the chapters in that had names

Re: Quiz Questions
It's either The Wind in the Willows or Winnie-the-Pooh, I think.

Re: Quiz Questions
Not quite.
Actually, it’s not really that simple an answer so I’ll just give it to you.
Back in the day (don’t ask me when, but it was a LONG time ago) when there was a speed limit of 5mph in Britain they wanted to hold a grand prix in Hyde Park (I think), but couldn’t get the nod because of the speed limit. So they moved the British grand prix to Dublin and held it in the Pheonix park. As a nod to the Irish government they changed their racing colour to a deep green. Hence “British” racing green, is kind of Irish racing green…
That was kinda poor form on my part, so anyone who wants can ask one now…

Indeed it was ... and still is!
Here is a question I heard about the other day. I can't promise the accuracy of the answer but it sounds good to me!
Which country started the Christmas tradition of exchanging gifts?

Re: Quiz Questions
no one got it yet (at least according to the answer I have)
I'm starting to doubt it though
EDIT: I've done some digging and the answer I have is basically correct though the use of the word "Christmas" is perhaps a little misleading. Maybe that will give you a clue

Re: Quiz Questions
It's given me a clue allright - your question is a duffer!
So we now have a question mark over whether or not it's actually Christmas, this leads us to two possibilities:
1. It predates the birth of Christ, in which case I'd say China or the Romans.
2. It's a non-Christian country, in which case I'd say Syria or Jordan.
I'm oot.

A duffer indeed! Sorry about that.
You are correct though that it dates back to Saturnalia which was the predecessor of Christmas and the Romans did indeed celebrate it by exchanging gifts (amongst other things!)
I'll try to do better next time

Re: Quiz Questions
Haddon Sundblom was an American artist who's best known work was in advertising and is particularly remembered for his works commissioned by Coca-Cola.
Sundblom was the man responsible for popularising our current image of Father Christmas witha big belly, kindly face, big white beard and a red and white suit, he based his interpretations on the poem "Twas the night before Christmas..." (I don't know what it was actually called).
The question is, prior to Sundblom's work, with which colour was Father Christmas most commonly connected?

Cant answer the Blondie question but I just wanted to comment on Ennio Morricone - brilliant composer. My favourite theme he did was for the Untouchables - sublime.

Re: Quiz Questions
Good man, Kenny - it was Grandmaster Flash. She might mention Fab 5 Freddy too, come to think of it, but I remember seeing an interview with Grandmaster Flash and he was saying that Debbie Harry told him she would namecheck him on their next record and he didn't believe she'd do it.

OK - we all know that in computer terms, storage has grown and grown. We used to talk about Kilobytes, then Megabytes, Gigabytes and now Terabytes - what is the next step? The name for 1000 Terabytes?
