Mr Predictor
A couple of years back on 606 I did a thread about players on the slide who I thought would win again.
My list was
Lawrie
Bojrn
Ferrie
Colesarts
Howell
I remember getting quite a load of flack especially for Ferrie, Lawrie and Bojrn.
Come on Howler give me a nap hand.
I can't think of any outstanding picks for the next couple of years.
Maybe you can.

Re: Mr Predictor
What about Charles Howell III, I know he was never at the very top but I notice he slipped in under the radar and got a top 20 in the final fedex positions? I assumed he had slipped to well outside the top 100 players on the PGA tour. He also has a crazy amount of career winnings ($22 million) for a career devoid of noteworthy moments.
He is only 32 despite that fact it seems like he has been around for ever and may well be about to hit the mid thirties pike that some players do. For example Westwoond, kuchar, Pod, VJ etc.

Sorry guys, but with the exception of MPB, I think you are all going for safeish players.
I'll try for Thomas Levet.

I think Nick Dougherty will get his game back eventually. I also think that Olazabal might have one more win in him.

I don't think Love the one, one, one is actually that far away from winning he's had some fine finishes this year and could easily pick one up soon.
Ernie needs to get his putting back his long game is still good enough.

Re: Mr Predictor
There are three guys with long-term injuries who'll hopefully return to the PGA Tour this coming year and I'd hope each has enough in the tank to win again:
Arron Oberholser - just on the verge of breaking through big time when his injuries began.
Dudley Hart
Mike Weir.
And I really hope Dougherty and Oliver Wilson return from their respective abyss.
s_r, Chris DiMarco started getting injuries and trying to play through them. Now he's a reltively short hitter and his game is obsolete on many courses. Hopefully will just about keep his card for 2012.

Funny how everyone says that about Kaymer... not had as good a year as last season, but he's still 5th in the R2D and 6th in the world, I'd take that sort of AWOLsuper_realist wrote:Whatever happend to Chris De Marco? Ross Fisher and Martin Kaymer have gone AWOL too.

Well I think you can keep David on the new list Doon, Dougherty has too much by way of distraction at home to be bothered about whether he wins or not. Thinking of others from previous Ryder cups, Oliver Wilson, Boo Weekley Finally what about big JD. So how about that for a long shot
Howell
Dougherty
Wilson
Weekley
Daly

Davis usually comes good in the Fall series.
Once all the glory hunters chasing the Fedex cash go & hibernate for the winter.
Leaving those that need to win to qualify for the PGA Tour next year.
With a weakened field, Davis's name always rises to the top.

TI is a good shout he's too good a player not to win again been showing some form again this year and hopefully he'll continue to improve always a player I liked and had a long recovery from injury.
Much like clark he has a long road ahead recovering from his injury but he's a class player who shows you don't need to be long to win

JB Holmes is another, although he alongside Vaughn Taylor were probably never have beens.
I keep hearing that Kim will eventually win loads, I just don't rate the guy, he seems another like Wie and Fowler who are more hype than substance.

I don't know there's something about Kim I like, and he has unlike Fowler and Wie... Won before and has potetnital to make bags of birdies he just needs to straighten up off the tee

I don;t know the mullet is underrated anyway still better than looking like lowry! or fowlers choice of orange attire

Re: Mr Predictor
That's true by virtue of elimination. At least with a mullet you could fit in in America, Germany or the Czech Republic where "hockey hair" is considered de rigeur, but looking like Billy Bunter or a Guantanamo Bay escapee isn't acceptable anywhere.

Always had the impression Edfors's is a bit of an ironic mullet, rather than just fashion blindness like Fowler. And at least he carries it off better than Charley Hoffman!

Hoffman looks like a hillbilly, fowler looks like a guantanamo reject, McIlroy like Coco the clown and Edfors carries off the mullet by pure virtue of being a honed lad no-one will argue it looks stupid

Re: Mr Predictor
A lot of golfers who seem to permanently wear caps look stupid when they remove them, not simply because they are receeding, but because their forehead is so white and looks massive like a Tefal boffin. Nick Dougherty, Furyk, Donald are all guilty.
If I were pro and rich enough I think I'd make a point of not wearing headgear. That's what I like about Robert Rock, good to see a lot of the Europeans ditch them in Ryder Cup matches.

I remember Ben and Josh as 5 and 7 year olds.
My daughter used to play county stuff with their mum Gill.
Kevin caddied for Jonny Brien when the Wilts side lost the English Junior Champs title [ on countback] in the early 1990's. Team included a 14 year old Gary Harris and a 13 Year old David Howell.
