"Obviously I didn't play at my best. I didn't play badly, just normal. But that is not enough against Djokovic." That's the true Rafa! Well, one of them had to lose their streak and it wasn't third time lucky for Rafa against Djokovic.

With a quick turnaround, we are straight off to Rome, with Rafa in a battle to keep his No 1 ranking and take it into the French. The tournament has already started and the draw could prove tough for him, depending on whether potential opponents can take their good form from Madrid onto Rome.

Rafa's first match will be on Wednesday.

Good luck Rafa - dust yourself down and come roaring back. Vamos!

All set for a night of recorded tennis!! Althoiugh, I hope Andy Murraty isn't on at the same time as Rafa on the other court, cos I bet Sky'll bump Rafa's match to the red button to accomodate the bushy-haired one!.



Yes, Rafan, doing not bad just now on the picks, but as I did my picks while drunk on Saturday night/Sunday morning, I don't really expect that to continue - have got a Rafa/Ferrer final. :huh:

I'd be really happy for my picks to be wrong, and Feli beat Fed, but just can't see it happen. But, stranger things have happened, I suppose. <Fingers tightly crossed>

Well, Rafa is on not before 3 pm. Murray is on a "followed by" court and is 3rd up. So he could be on at about 5pm, but if JMDP pulls out of his match then it could clash with Rafa!!

I hope to see FeliFeds later ... but I think you will be able to "the red button".

Yes Rafan....just another day at the office for Nole ( that's what the commentator said).

And yes...it will soon be Rafa time......tho' I'm more looking forward to Andytime, which will, I think, clash with teatime and I'll have a hungry Mr Spoon to feed.

Well, as Cats has previously pointed out, Mardy Fish would be ideal as he doesn't wear socks. Though maybe he wears them on clay - I mean, imagine all those little stones in your trainers!

Absolutely vintage Rafa Wooffie.. took complete charge of the match from the word off breaking Baggy´s serve in the first game.. he was all over him like a rash... none of the 10ft behind the base line malarky... took the match by the scruff of the neck. If he does this against JDP and or Djoko no problems. He looked cool and confident. Had a couple of lapses of focus in the second set Baggy was a break point up ... but Hey Break Rafa ??? not likely. Baggy didn´t know how to handle him ... it wasn´t whether he was going to win but when

Watched the match and agree with Haddie, no problem for Rafa and he was playing great. Mind you, Baggy was really disappointing, no fighting spirit at all, he just seemed to give up from the first game

You would not BELIEVE how stupid I am!!!!! Just settled down at last to watch Rafa's match, popped back to live action to see how Feli was doing, popped back to Sky+ - and have LOST all this afternoons recorded stuff! How the have I done that!! AAARRRRGGGHHHHH.
Can't believe it - was only 3 games into the match. That'll teach me for being interested in someone else's game!!

On a brighter note, isn't Feli having a good game. I'm sure Cowan is near to tears everytime Fed doesn't break serve. I can live with that
