With a quick turnaround, we are straight off to Rome, with Rafa in a battle to keep his No 1 ranking and take it into the French. The tournament has already started and the draw could prove tough for him, depending on whether potential opponents can take their good form from Madrid onto Rome.

Rafa's first match will be on Wednesday.

Good luck Rafa - dust yourself down and come roaring back. Vamos!

Oh I enjoyed that...but Feds got let off at the end...he was all over the place It's a long long time since I've seen Feli play like that.....but that overhead ....that could have easily changed the outcome!

I hope Feli will take heart from this, and continue his good run....and doesn't go back to the shadow of a man Woofs and I saw in MC....he really was deplorable that day

Angie - my Sky+ box went funny as well - it had been recording all afternoon; I cancelled the recording as I knew Rafa had finished, went to play it and it said "this programme is no longer available" . So I started it recording again, tried to watch it...and it let me <phew>. However, once Murray came on they cut away from the Rafa match (it was 2-1 in the second set I think), and then they just showed a brief glimpse of the match point and Rafa waving to the crowd. However, it did mean that I could get to bed at a reasonable hour.

Poor old Feli - I was in and out of the match, but he played really well and I bet he rues that missed overhead. I was saying focus...focussssss....as he went to hit it

I will be heading home on the Eastbourne Express when Rafa takes to the court this afternoon. He beat Delpo 6-4 6-4 in Indian Wells, so hopefully that will give him the confidence for this afternoon. Vamos Rafa, we know you can DO it!

Can you believe this Rafateers? But I am having my hair done this evening and will miss the Rafa / Delpo match.

As you all know, I am obsessed about my hair, so I cannot miss this appointment ... even for Rafa. <hangs head>

Poor old Delpo, but less taxing for Rafa. I felt a bit sorry for the fans - imagine the excitement of going to see Rafa v Delpo, and then it's called off. We were in a similar position on the MC SF day...will they play or won't they? On the bright side we were guaranteed Rafa in the final. On the downside, poor old Wooffs and Denzy had spent the best part of the day trying to get to the grounds! Still, we all know how it turned out and that's all history now.

I saw the match and Rafa played great, I thought. Only 9 UEs and I think most of them were in the last couple of games when he was more or less home and dry. He took a tumble at one point but no harm done. Thought it was worth a mention as you don't often see him fall on his lovely backside

So Rafan and Wooffs are hitting the town tomorrow Have fun and don't get into too much trouble.

Ladies - PLEASE try to keep the number of smilies down.

One of the most important aims of 606v2 was to keep the place work-safe (hence no embedded images, avatars etc)

Pages and pages of animated smilies just makes a v2 screen stick out like a sore thumb

Morning everyone. Rafan, time to get up......

Aw, gutted that we can't go overboard with smilies. I was going to suggest a new game of telling a story using only smilies, but maybe not!! Perhaps the admin team can look into adding an option to suppress smilies on entering the forum for those naughty people that come on here during working hours.

I'm off to a kiddies birthday party at 3 today so that gives me two hours to stuff my face with cake, get a headache from screeching toddlers and get back home to watch Rafa vs. Rog at 5 our time. Luckily party is only 2 doors down so should be okay.
