Anybody know if he is staying with Wales? A poster last week mentioned this was the end of the road for him as a Welsh coach?

Hope its not the case

Im sure he said all along that he wouldn't renew his contract after the world cup,
good luck to him he will be missed and has been a great addition to our backroom staff.

Defence is outstanding.

Not a try conceded while down to 14 men for nearly all the game. 1 try conceded against Ireland. Can't ask for more than that!

5 tries conceded in 6 games is one hell of a record. Hope we hold onto him, after all didn't Gats originally say he was only with us until 2011 before having a change of heart?

Staying too long with the same team is not a good thing new face fresh ideas.
Our defence has been very good but our physicality and fitness level also played a huge part.

How fickle you are, it wasn't long ago that several of your cohorts were calling for him to go, along with Howley, and Gatland.

Hmm.

All sorts of issues in England to be sorted out from the board down.

And the coaching/management team will be pretty near the top.

So don't get the retention of Shaun as being anywhere near a given. I'd say you'd have to wave the cheque book early and generously if you want too keep him. He's an RL pro and will take his best financial options.

Wouldn't Edwards have to leave Wasps altogether to be considered for an England post?

He said on interview over weekend that his contract his due for renewal and that he never makes decsions when in an emotional state of mind which he was after the game.

I hope the WRU will do all in their power to try and keep him and think the connection with Gatland will sway his decision hugely, he's seems a genuinely loyal and honest person so if he says he will stay I guess he will.

Ruby,

If he does then good luck to him but Englands problems stem further than their defence.

That's true, England's defence isn't actually that bad. But Somebody should be taking a long hard look at Ford and Wells, thats for sure. I would have preferred Edwards not to have gone to Wales in the first place, whether he admits it or not, his devided loyalty had a detremental effect on Wasps.

Would i want him in the England set-up? Maybe. I think there are better out there, but Edwards is pretty good.

Apparantly it's wasps that are not happy with the sharing agreement that is in place and the WRU are thrying to re-negotiate with them. So lets wait and see?

He'd have to abandon his job at Wasps altogether or else the RFU and Wasps would have to negotiate an unprecedented one-off deal allowing him to coach both. Of course it depends whether England would want him for head coach or an assistant role and even if it's the latter, would they be happy with him on a part-time basis like us?

If the divided loyalty between Wales and Adams Park is supposed to be the problem, can you really see him wanting to leave the Wasps job entirely?

No coaching decisions should be made prior to resolutions as to the RFU board problem is sorted.

IF, and I hope he doesn't but if he does goes who would people like to see come in as defence coach.

Who is out there, our (Dragons) defence was pretty mean when Charvis was there and he's not doing anything at the moment as far as I am aware.
