Widnes given permission for plastic pitch
The RFL have given the go ahead for Widnes to install a new plastic pitch for their return to superleague . The i-pitch will be installed before pre-season training sometime in december . The i-pitch is supposedly more durable .

According to the RFL the i-pitch has been tested for player safety and they are happy that it doesn't present any dangers .
