I think its a bit harsh from Nathan Brown. If it was an Englishman saying it I think Macnamara would have to just take it on the chin but the Australians and Kiwis have been picking players that are not exactly native to their countrys for years. I wouldnt blame Mcnamara for trying to take advantage of a rule the Aussies and Kiwis have been taking advantage of for years.

I agree with Nathan Brown to an extent , Henderson is no better then Robinson , Houghton or Hodgson so why pick him ? Chase again i think was a rushed selection just because of the season he had at Cas .
While no rules are being broken and Aus and NZ have been doing it for years i do think its a kick in the teeth for our young home grown talent to select players on residency or parentage

Hendersen was born in Torquay, Reed was born in Keighley, so technically they are English.
I do think though that Mcnamara is not picking the right squad as Robinson is in my opinion a better player, And while no rules were broken i never tbought Chase should have been chosen.
But do agree with Kenny about the young players.
More worrying to me, is the fact that Mcnamara only watched one SL game in person last year, and that was the GF.

I think Henderson is a good player but as you say there are players as good if not better. The one that really gets me is Heighington ( not sure on spelling) We have a huge number of second rowers and then add to it with an average at best player. I dont think he did anything in an England shirt that, Ben Westwood, Gareth Ellis, Carl Ablett, Danny Tickle, Gareth Hock to name 5 off the top of my head couldnt do

Brian Carney on boots and all saying he would never have played for England because he was Irish. No Brian but you played for Great Britain Talk about contradicting yourself.
