Sanchez or Rivers? Rivers' INT's are putting the doubt in my mind especially as he'll be up against the Jets secondary.

Need 3 from: Miles Austin, James Jones, Santonio Holmes, Doug Baldwin, Mohamed Massaquoi, Brandon Gibson.

Need 2: Roethlisberger, Stafford, Flacco, Sanchez.

Derby....

RIVERS without a second of hesitation. A clear top 5 fantasy QB every week regardless of the opponent... in fact now he is off the bye you can basically ditch backups for him if this relates to a "small" league (as opposed to our ones where the FA list is basically bare bones!)

Austin, Holmes (probably because Packers receivers are too random) & Massaquoi (quietly been getting the ball a fair bit)

Stafford and Big Ben

My query for this week...

Matt Schaub (vs TEN) or Tim Tebow (vs MIA)

Daniel Thomas (vs DEN) or Beanie Wells (vs PIT)

Tebow and Wells for me.

Better news for me, in one of my teams (3-3) I play a fella this week who has 8 players on a bye, of the 7 he has available there are 2 x Def, 2 x TE, he doesn't have a single available RB, 1 x kicker, 1 x WR and P Rivers.
I'm semi confident....

I have the 1st claim for waiver wire this week -- would you pick up Carson Palmer (Mike Vick and Colt McCoy are my other QBs, so I'd ditch McCoy) or would you pick up Felix Jone's backup Demarco Murry (I have Forte, Tolbert, and Jones with Jones going to IR for anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks)?

I'm thinking Palmer will start this week and I could always use him as trade bait for a QB desperate team.

Depends who else you have Mangler, and how many RBs you start in your league. If you start 2 and a flex, I would rather have Murray unless you have 3 top quality receivers. Jones could be out for a while as you say so would take his back up myself. Tolbert isn't exactly lighting the world up as Matthews looks like the outright number one RB now, so you could feasibly start Murray

Vick has his bye this week, and McCoy has a pretty good matchup against the Seahawks. Unless Vick gets injured you are always starting him regardless of your backup so I would always go for improving my own team rather than a possible trade piece later

We starts 2 RBs.

Yeah, I've decided to get Murray even though the Cowboy running game has sucked. I traded Peyton Hillis and Brandon Lloyd for the injured Felix Jones and Dez Bryant. Hillis has been a bust so far, Lloyd has been a bust, but could do good things with Bradford (assuming Bradford plays with his bad ankle) but Dez Bryant is a known commodity, so I decided I would go for the proven production and hope that Murray plays well and maybe unseats Jones. Either way, I'll drop one of them when the time comes for it.

Picking up Murray would seem to make the most sense to me Mangler.

Need 2 of these TE's: Benjamin Watson, Brandon Pettigrew, Antonio Gates, Jared Cook.

I would pick up Murray as you were thinking
He will get the chance for 2 or 3 games

TE's Pettigrew & Gates for me , the other 2 are not reliable but then Gates hasn't hardly played all season

Interesting 25.
I'd probably go with Palmer - no guarantee Grossman has lost his starter spot, he was benched but prior to that had been playing OK, Palmer you know they've brought in to start straight away and you can bet your life he's been keeping himself in shape/working out, his main issue is the Raiders playbook....

I'd go Palmer. He was brought in to play and he has a history with Jackson who helped recruit him at USC and was his QB coach. The question is will he be ready for this week.

Cheers for the input everyone! Really unsure which way to go. If there was any way to be sure Palmer could pick up the Raiders' offense straight away then you go wifh him because he's going to have better weapons around him and a running game that needs to be respected every down. I think he could be a decent fantasy play over the last 8 games or so. He's obviously got the history with Hue Jackson but will that be enough to let him be effective from this Sunday?? Beck knows his offense better but he's never taken a snap as a starting QB with the expectations on him that will be there this week. He only started in Miami once their season was in the can a few years ago. To be honest, it probably doesn't matter much this week cos I'm crippled with my best players on their bye weeks and it will take a miracle for me to recover from 2-4 to make the playoffs!!

top 6 make playoffs so all you need is a decent run , also pos 7-12 have there own consolation play offs for finishing positions so all still to play for
If all your other stud players are on byes pick up Palmer for the longer term benefit

I thought the Raiders pass game consisted of long bombs to there speedy receivers and a whole bunch of handoffs to Run DMC :p

can't be that hard for Carson to learn that offence.

Oh, and to quote the NFL Network guys "Mike Shananhan hates your fantasy football team" so bench those Redskins QBs

Jackson plays first so if I was you I would make sure I check to see whether or not he is active, even if he is active I'm not sure as the Browns defense is better than the Saints defense, and obviously if he isn't active or they announce Whitehurst as the starter choose painter.

all those that picked up Murray should have been very happy, I picked up off Waivers, I would also look to keep him not trade him as he will now be the featured RB for Dallas, they have a favorable match up this week against a poor Eagles Run defense, and look for Dallas to run the ball more now in coming weeks.

What about those of us that tried to pick him up and missed out. Sad

My luck continues though. I had no business winning, especially with Painter at QB, and then leaving Tolbert in the bench. Thankfully the Pats bye week is over and done with.

Gotta feel sorry for all the Hightower owners out there. Just when it seems he's got the starting job nailed down. Sad

A number of poor choices this week made me lose both my games, but if I'd been perfect I would only have won by two points so it's not like my teams excelled this week. Now need to go and try to find some players on the waiver wire to fill in in bye week/injury holes.
