You got to feel a bit sorry for England
The kiss the lewd comments and the ferry jump aside England pretty much got a tough time,
Slated for the bungee jump and having a drink was a bit unfair in my eyes.
The Welsh lads have been quad biking a few times and jumped off the Sky tower yesterday and im sure every team had its recreation schedule that may have raised a few eye brows,
Also the constant reminder on how some of the squad are not from England.
In the NewZealand game yesterday Cruden was getting praised as the new kid on the block then the commentator "Nick Mullins" flowed his jibber jabber into how Brad Thorn is old school Kiwi muscle hard man!
Brad Thorn spent most of his life in Australia and played League for Australia!!!!
He is only but one amongst the Kiwi Aussie game that can hardly claim the "pure blood" tag,
Australia's best player David Pocock is from Zimbabwe.
The English do tend to get in the neck a bit.

View, I think you've overlooked the fact that we deserve it.
On a serious note though, I thought bungeegate was ridiculous, as is the constant sniping about non-English players, I personally don't like the idea of Flutey or Hape playing, but that's due to the levels at which they've represented teams in New Zealand rather than where they actually come from.
The rest of the criticisms were very much warranted as some of the players behaved very poorly and their antics reflected badly on the rest of the country.

Re: You got to feel a bit sorry for England
in all honesty i feel sorry to the ones like wilkinson, flood, youngs who havent been involved in the scandals- but the other stuff is there own fault, if they are stupid enough to get drunk in a bar in publics eye then there will be repurcutions (sp)
yes the fact that many countries tend to have a slight hate for the english you would think they wouldnt want to fuel it any more. buts they only have themselves to blame.
hope everything does get sorted though- i mean beating and poor england team is no fun at all, at least give the welsh some challenge

so you think we should change and become pussies for others ignorance lol.. Thats theyreproblem pal. Engalnd is allways the big story- stories are created and printed about england because they are news worthy- 10 times worse can happen in regards to other teams yet they would still rather front page a minor england event!! yaaawnn. its not neccesarily a hatred- its a strange freaky obsession some people have with us

safe you are assuming that i have a hate for the english- i certainly dont, i do have some english in my family. i am just saying there does tend to be a slight hate for england, for many different reasons. i am just saying when you are in a position like that then it would be better to stay under the radar and try and get people to like them rather than think of them as the idiots of rugby. i mean a fair few NZers thought wales were the "village idiots" of rugby but we have gained alot of respect this world cup due to how we are on and off the field.

All this anti-english stuff is just media driven tripe. There are millions more English than any other group in the UK. The media write over-sensationalised trivia to sell copy to the gullible millions. Trouble is the Welsh, Scots and Irish see the drivel too and believe everything they read.

But a pretty good one I think you'll find. When was the last time you read negative media about England and said to yourself 'I don't believe it, that can't be right'? I'd hasten to guess, never.

Yep of course your right, its drivel to say getting lathered 4 days before a match is irresponsible.
Sexually harrassing hotel staff? over-sensationalised of course, women are just objects after all, she should have been flattered and let Haskell add to the video collection he started when he got expelled from school. Only gullible people would believe thats offensive.
Swapping match balls well its not important is it, I mean its not like the rules matter.
Diving off a ferry for a bet? just media driven tripe aint it not dangerous or irresponsible at all.
3 players fined for breach of sponsership rules? well thats just silly who cares about the rules dont you realise England are above the rules.
Wake up England your teams behaviour has been shameful. You might have got away with getting wrecked if you had played like Corey Jane afterwards instead of Jane Austin but the rest was arrogant, ignorant, sexist and shameful.
However the longer the saes are in denial the longer it will be before England sort themselves out both on and off the pitch. The bungee jumping was the only story England didnt deserve and didnt bring upon themselves.

Who got drunk 4 days before a game?
Haskell never got expelled.
Fair play but it's a penalty offence at most. Name one team that didn't give away a penalty in the whole World Cup.
Tuilagi didn't dive off a ferry for a bet.
Which 3 England players were fined for breach of sponsorship rules?
Not sensationalised at all...
Re: You got to feel a bit sorry for England
Come on in the real world a couple of them cocked up but flippin heck the press really did go for them,
and the foreign player issue is maybe magnified because they have such a large player pool but every nation does it.
Just feel a bit sorry for the stick they got,the NzHearld wouldn't shut up about it like every Kiwi on tour is a saint.

Is that why so many Welsh fans were throwing a hissy and accusing Rolland of bias for adhering to the laws of the game? Or do rules only matter when you want them to? Proving the OP's point there.
Honest post OP, nice to see
Edit - Alright Tycroes, I've noticed you weren't one of the ones complaining, fairplay to you. Still, ball swapping is illegal and they got punished for it. But I don't think anyone can comment on the "sexual harrassment" without knowing the situation exactly.

The match ball farce was well was a farce!
Every pro player from 1-15 would employ a "tactic" to get the advantage over the opposition, problem was Wilkinson got caught.

Re: You got to feel a bit sorry for England
Tindall came in drunk on a monday, match on the saturday call it five days if you want. Of course he did lie to the press the team management and his wife about it as well until more video evidence came to light and he was forced to apologise.
Haskell was kicked out. as a school insider put it "The girl has been made a laughing stock and cannot face anybody. This could destroy her. What the boys did was despicable and borders on the criminal." sound familiar?
He was only allowed back to school to sit his exams. He was escorted on and off the premises.
How is swapping match balls a penalty offence? its a clear management offence and cant be deal with on the pitch? ludicrous defence of the indefensible
Moody, tuilagi and lawes all fined for mouthguards cant wait to read Moodys book when he dishes all the dirt out in November.
Tuilagi's dive, an eye witness account. "The players had beers in their hands. They had a big macho chat about swimming back. People started cheering and laughing." should I have called it a dare then awwww.

englandglory4ever, if you think the antipathy the other home nations feel toward the English is because of the media, think again.

Wales shouldn't have deliberately lost to England twice this year then. Lulled us into a sense of false security .
