Feel sorry for Scotland.
Gwent Dragons - 2 players
Bancyfelin - 2 players
Scotland - zero
It makes sense to pick on form, but one eye should be kept on the lions concept.
I guess after losing the last 3 tours, Gatland is going with what he knows and will do anything to win on Saturday. I don't care if we win 3-0. The NH needs this.

oh dont feel sorry for us.
Woodward screwed wales in 05.
Gatland screwed Scotland in 13
hopfully this will finally convince whoever is in charge of the lions that an non 4n's coach needs to be the next lions manager

The difference is Wales have been the best home nation for two seasons in a row and individually it's hard to argue against most selections.

National pride and sense do not mix well on these boards.

Save your pity for yourselves. We beat Australia last year and the Scots will have a point to prove in the Autumn.

Re: Feel sorry for Scotland.
Can't argue with selection really.
Since AWJ has been in every test so far, hard to drop him for Gray who has been carrying a small injury apparently.
Corbisero got the nod over grant and played very well first test so rightly deserves to play last test. But grant can feel hard done by for his complete exclusion last weekend.
Maitland and Hogg, well I think both players could have played but Hogg was up against it with halfpenny being such a good kicker and fb.
Maitland. bowe and cuthbert are both tough competition, but I still do feel he could have been a big threat, but he just didn't shine out enough in his warm up games to convince coaches he was the d's b's.
Side selected is much better than last weeks. Just having both Tuilagi and Roberts and a proper scrummager in the front row makes a huge difference. Assuming injuries are absent, this side could win the series.

Re: Feel sorry for Scotland.
The reason that Geech turned into a legend as a Lions coach was that he too made the mistake of selecting too many of his national players, back in 93. far too many underperforming Scots were played and that contributed to a series loss.
However he then learnt from that mistake for the next tour in SA.
However the professional era now means that the coaches have less time, with fatigued players and so they will inevitably revert to the players they know when the chips are down. If Gatland was in charge in New Zealand he would do exactly the same thing as this time around.
As a Scotsman i am disappoinnted but not surprised by how selections have turned out. The cases for all 4 of our players are strong but Gatland was never going to do anything except the path he has chosen.
With each passing series the aura of Lions selection being the ultimate accolade for a player from the British Isles diminishes as it really depends upon the nationality of the coaching staff. Remember the number of English players SCW took in 05, more than 20 i think? In this case a Welsh head coach and English subordinates means that there is only space for two irishmen and no scots in the starting team of the most important game in the series.
There really is no point griping on about it.

So Basando and hate to pish on Griffs chips but:
If Gray is carrying an injury he should not be playing. Ian Evans on the bench please.
If Gray isn't carrying an injury he should be starting. Parling on the bench.
I just cant see how Ryan is not ahead of Mako after last weeks performance.
Apart from that its exactly what I forecasted and agree with the 23 selected (with the caveat that this should not have been selection if Mr Stubborn had initially chosen a squad with a view to beating a SH side specifically Australia)
