How difficult is it.

Having seen some of the Saints v O's game over the weekend then Northampton pretty much chucked their WC players back in team from the off. We won't know until his weekend what the Regions/Provinces do with our/their guys but how difficult is it for these guys.

Saints seemed to struggle at first against a very young O's side but came strong in the 2nd half. Having played at a higher level and intensity for the past however many weeks should these guys be able to adapt straight away at the 'lower' level of club rugby

I think the plan with the Irish provinces is that the squad players from the world cup will be available this week, and the first 15 player will be available next week, with everyone back for the first week of the HC the following week.

Mick,

I don't think it will be such an issue for the Provinces as they have for some while now not played their big guns in the first part of the then Magners League.

Saving them for the first bout of HC games.

Tigers brought back a lot of their first choice internationals out of necessity against Gloucester and really took the Cherry and White to the cleaners. Some are still nursing knocks etc from the RWC though.

Bath have brought the WC players back for halves in the LV cup, although the people who hardly played (Banahan) have got a fair amount of LV game time but Moody (who played a lot) hasnt. I would think the next 2 weeks of Premiership will be more of the same, slowly bringing the WC players up to speed in time for the start of the European games.
