I know little either but I read an article today about a certain sports star who injured his thumb while holding said gun.

Re: Quiz Questions
They are, I was making sure it wasn't one of them there trick questions and it was going to be a handheld rocket launcher....
Smith & Wesson claim to have the most powerful handgun in the 500 magnum but a German manufacturer makes a .600 handgun that they claim is the most powerful, confusingly this is also called a Magnum.
So if it's not a Magnum I'm stuffed.

Re: Quiz Questions
I don't know why, but as I was reading that Danny Cipriani sprang to mind. Fancy going to a shooting range with a sprained thumb in the first place and then firing a .50 cal when a 9mm would be bad enough.
What a chump.
I've just done a bit of research and it appears the S&W .500 and the Desert Eagle .50AE are the two most popular answers for production handguns, the other one I was thinking of was Austrian not German, the Pfeifer Zeliska .600 Nitro Express Magnum and it's not a production model it's made to order.
Ask us another one.

Thinking back to the period I am guessing it wasnt a Welsh player.
So most likely someone from England or France would be my guess. Thomas Castaignede?

Well you said it was a Welshman which rules out the other Shane .
Was it someone obscure who only got a couple of caps?
I can tell you who their oponents were...... don't suppose I can have a point for that?

This player won plenty of caps for Wales. He played in Wales's Grand Slam match against Ireland in 2005.

Yes, he was a back. He played the Grand Slam match out of position, which might be too big a clue...

Re: Quiz Questions
The answer should be pretty obvious given his career spanned 99-05, as the 05 Slam team wouldn't have had many players in it from 99.
But it isn't....

Re: Quiz Questions
The old “who scored the first try in…” is a great type of question.
So I’ll continue with who scored the first try in croke park?
And indeed, who scored the last try in croke park.

Johnny Beattie scored an early try in that match but who scored the last... Simon Danielli? It might have been a winger for Dan Parks's conversion to have been on the touchline.
