I would say a return man, slot wr of the best position of all, cornerback. I remember when i played flag football(sounds girly i know but trust me, everyone still tackles and hurts you so dont know why they called it flag as everyone there also played full contact but anyway), i'm about that size and played wr and cb, cb is the best i think

I'm not really aware of the expected heights/weights for certain positions but I would guess that teams in the BAFA leagues aren't exactly picky. If you've got an idea of where you would like to play you can probably just go down and ask if you can give it a go, if they don't think you're cut out for the position I would expect they will give you some other options of where you can play.

I'm 6 foot and 15 stone. I went on tryouts last year and went in at fullback and tight end. Too slow to be anything else.

Does anyone here play for a team in London? I've been seriously considering giving this a go just to freshen things up a bit. I'm a centre in union and a centre / backrow in league, 6'2", 98kg.

The twos parts of rugby I like are like best are smashing the ball up, and smashing people in defence so I'd love to have a go as a RB but I'd also want to be in the D-line, maybe as a linebacker. Is there much doubling up between offense and defence in the teams that play in London?

I would imagine there is a bit. Linebacker sounds like the spot for you or maybe TE

It's not a bad shout... I started off as a flyhalf so have kicked off and on for the last 16 years
