Quite simple really, which is the best promo in the history of the WWE in your opinions?

Has to be without question 3:16

I got into wrestling in 1991 when some of the finest talkers in history were plying their trade in the WWF - Roberts, Flair, Savage, Piper. But one of the first promos I saw is still probably my favourite of all time: Ric Flair interrupting Hulk Hogan on the funeral parlour. It's the one where Undertaker comes out of the casket and attacks Hogan. I can still remember the Flair promo almost word for word. It's on youtube and I highly recommend it.

I also think the first promo Austin cut on Tyson, although brief, was just phenomenal. The key aspect was that there was no deference on Austin's part, he basically said I'm just as tough as you and you're standing in my ring. It played a massive part in turning the Wars around.

Don't know why it sticks in my head so much seen as I wasn't a huge HBk fan but loved his promo after Survivor Series 1996 when he lost to Sid and he vowed to get the title back and avenge the beating given to Jose Lothario

I always enjoyed the shoot promo at One Night Stand by Paul Heyman - "I've got two words for you.... Matt Freakin Hardy!!"

Also the Steph McMahon promo where she's bent over the desk to start with "Now that i've got your attention!"

I had actually forgotten that Flair and Hogan were young once! Ha that was wierd looking at them in their prime, it just shows how over the hill they've become.

Personally I think CM Punk is at that level if not above it in terms of promos.

talking point, that first one where Punk comes out s Jeff Hardy is absolutely brilliant! CM Punk in my eyes is one of the best talkers/promo cutters in WWE history. The man is just so different in everything he does! Absolutely top class!

the Scott Steiner promo where he is talking to mean gene and goes ranting on about when the stars align and create an equinox so you can see the big dipper etc

Welcome to the board, but there is one problem: that's not a promo!

That's a montage, or video package. A promo is where a performer addresses the audience.

In anything if you want to go, from just a beginner to a pro you need a montage. Even Rocky had a montage.
