EURO 2012
The winner is:
The Oranje of Holland
or
Thee Germans
I think everyone with a bit of common sense (unless they havr a Barca stiffy) will agree.

Re: EURO 2012
I think you'd be a fool to discount the Spanish purely based on the game v England.
100% record in qualifiers, World Cup & current Euro holders, a team containing Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, Silva, Fabregas, Pique, Ramos, Mata, Navas, Cazorla, Torres, Casillas etc etc etc.
They're the favourites to win the tournament for a reason.

Re: EURO 2012
Germany and Netherlands play the more exciting football, but Spain still have the ability to wear teams down with their sublime passing skill and despite the fact that I find them pretty boring to watch they are still the favourites.
It's just become "cool" to claim Spain aren't that good because everybody says they are. I find them boring, but still can't deny the fact that they are clearly a hugely talented squad, and definitely the favourites going into this tournament.

Re: EURO 2012
I'd rather see Holland or Germany win it, well if I'm being honest I'd rather see Ireland win it but that's not very realistic.
I'm not a fan of Spain, they are far to methodical, they remind me of a Mourinho's Chelsea

They're boring, but you can't deny that it's effective and they are still hot favourites to win the tournament. Germany and Holland play more entertaining football, but Spain are ridiculously talented.

Re: EURO 2012
I agree with most of the people on here brilliant as they are Spain are not fun to watch
Germany ,Holland & even Portugal are far more entertaing to watch
Still think the Spanish tactic of keepball & wait for 1 chance to win it will prevail

Difficult to guage this one, I do belive this Spanish side probably have one last tournement in them, completing what I belive would be an unprecidented Euro, World, Euro treble, the most likely contenders would be Germany and Holland, while I belive Italy, Portugal and Croatia have an outside chance

Re: EURO 2012
I think Ireland should be favorites
Seriously though its Spain who have to be favorites although I do fancy the Dutch to win it. Not sure it would effect them but the Pols and Ukranians would probably go for the team German against when there are playing due to history. I probably doesn't matter but everyone will want to beat Spain. Logic would say Spain but I think Holland will win. Probably will get knock out in the groups now.

Will be interesting to see who we get in our group, looking forward to the draw.
I've normally tipped the Dutch in tournaments.
Spain, Germany, Holland top 3, outside bet for Italy/England/.
More outside bet dare I say France
Failing that then only one team to win. Ireland to do a Greece in 04

I think Spain will struggle to win this one. Their top players have had 1 summer off in about 5/6 years, with the Barca players playing 70+ club games a season stretching from August right through till the middle of May, and then off to ConFed Cup, WC, Euros or worthwhile friendlys. It's bound to catch up with them at some point.
And for that reason, I'm backing the Germans.

na to be honest its hard to look past spain. Our win agianst them the other night was a fluke IMO, and they are a world class outfit.

Re: EURO 2012
How do I feel right now well I hold no hope for Englands future due to their penalty limitations.
Their lack of defensiveness unless the ball actually goes past them.
This leaves me to say that I hope Spain at least can defend their Euro trophy.
