Memo to Steve Bunce - 6 ways to improve your show!!
1. Calm down.
2. Guests are there for you to get their opinion..not for you to give them yours!!
3. Let them start to talk..
4. Let them finish..
5. Keep the questions pertinent to the subject in hand..
6. Try to be more objective...
There you go...

I like Bunce in small doses, his over enthusiasm is entertaining.

It can sometimes seem a little longer than that, if he's really in one of his hypersonic moods.

Anyone who watches so much boxing must have a decent insight into it - I just wish he'd stop slobbering over buttocks and say what he really wanted to.

To much of Bunce is a bad thing. His enthusiasm is commendable but irritating as hell.

Re: Memo to Steve Bunce - 6 ways to improve your show!!
well all i am stating is - you dont like him - dont watch.
considering you know you dont like the man and theres a show thats called bunces boxing hour that would obviously showcase steve bunce you think you would avoid it rather than watch it and complain about it.
but i guess some people just enjoy complaining.

Re: Memo to Steve Bunce - 6 ways to improve your show!!
Again, I don't need your opinion. Trussman asked for mine and everyone else's on the show and Bunce's presentation of it - I offered mine, much as you do several hundred times a week on all manner of things where you are scarcely qualified to do so. I dare say that you haven't been unremittingly positive in every comment that you've ever made, either. I, on the other hand, didn't ask for your imprimatur on what I thought, for good or ill. If you don't like my opinion, ignore it. I find it easy enough to do likewise for you.

Re: Memo to Steve Bunce - 6 ways to improve your show!!
Alex I don't get your point. On the one hand your saying too much of Bunce makes your head spin and on the other you're having a go at The Captain stating sometimes Bunces show seems longer than it is and can be unbearable. Ye both agree it seems to me..
Well when theres limited boxing related shows to watch its not as easy as saying don't watch it either.. Also on a thread entitled 6 ways to improve Bunce's show id imagine there'd be some complaining about the man. Captain doesnt need me to defend him but your comments are a bit lame..

Don't always agree with the Captain or you Alex... but every opinion is as good as the next..
behave yourself..If he doesn't rate Bunce he's entitled to express it...
More than entitled on any of my threads..

Re: Memo to Steve Bunce - 6 ways to improve your show!!
Pretty sure I read it properly the first time. I'm sure the thing forcing ppl to watch the show is the fact they're boxing fans and there ain't many boxing related shows on TV.
Just like I seen you complaining about Gary Neville. Nobody forces you to watch him but if you like football and want to watch it on sky you'll have to listen to the man..

To many guests on the Bunce shows. Some of them have a 2 minute chat and then there off. They should cut the amount of guests to 3 or 4 and get a decent interview with them.

turn gary neville off wouldnt even know if he still presents football on sky. but massive differences as it isnt called the gary neville show.
if you read it the first time and came to that conclusion then that tells me everything really.

Re: Memo to Steve Bunce - 6 ways to improve your show!!
He did a good interview with Warren last night but he's one of the only ones to get any time on the show. His radio show is the same. They could probably make it a 2 hour show to give him more time but he would probably try and get 200 guests on rather than the usual 100.

You're saying if you don't like him don't watch the show. I'm saying as boxing fans we're limited choice wise and may have to put up with him if we want to watch a boxing related show. Simple.. Not as simple to say don't watch it.

Re: Memo to Steve Bunce - 6 ways to improve your show!!
Does seem like you picked a fight over nout alex, isn't the first time I've seen you do so with the Captain this week either. No need for it, particularly given that he was agreeing with the crux of your own argument.
Good to see Trussy self moderating, 200lbs of prime American beefster guarding the door to his own thread...thou shalt not pass.

Re: Memo to Steve Bunce - 6 ways to improve your show!!
not really all i was saying is you dont like bunce dont watch a show that has him as the main focal point...
at what point was this a fight? and for the life of me i cannot remember even commenting on any of the captains comments so rather confident its a coincidence.

Re: Memo to Steve Bunce - 6 ways to improve your show!!
I see your good humour has been restored Truss and Alex's has gone - is Azazel doing the rounds?
Re: Memo to Steve Bunce - 6 ways to improve your show!!
Anyway, to drag us back on topic...Bunce's enthusiasm for the sport is great, however he often uses that enthusiasm to get a bit carried away with himself.
Verdict: ok in small doses, and just glad that someone is doing their best to give boxing some airtime, be it on the tv or the radio.

Seconded fists. Better than nothing - What I wouldn't give for Jeremy Paxman to host a boxing show!

You could watch the dullest fight of the year but after Bunces summary you have to watch it again to make sure you haven't missed fight of the year.
Would sum Buncey up in boxing terms, game but limited, and his as mad as a box of frogs.

dont mind him, can talk sense most of the time, but he can be a bit rude towards his guests and co-presenters, butting in all the time. i love the clip of hopkins giving him an ear full, probably the longest ive seen buncey keep shut.

Captain - I see you deserve all the heckling you are getting - I didn't have you down as a happy slapper.
Theres this american one I enjoy even though I find him a little irritating - he always has a feud with Mayweather. Square headed and a irritating grin.
Lederman, Merchant, Lampley, Tessetore and Kellerman I know but I keep forgetting this guys name.

Thats it - Brian Kenny - cheers scott- Knows alot and not afraid to ask tough questions. Still goes a little overboard - sort of playing to his image but Its bearable.
Re: Memo to Steve Bunce - 6 ways to improve your show!!
yeah remember a brian kenny live interview with mayweather wasnt scared to put him on the spot at all.
dont mind atlas have a lot of time for him but jesus when he starts using his endless metaphors...

Re: Memo to Steve Bunce - 6 ways to improve your show!!
Can't stand Kenny personally, seems that's very much against the consensus. Just shows that it's horses for courses, I suppose.
I'm neither here nor there on Bunce, but his enthusiasm is a high point. It's his contradictions and unbearable brown nosing which gets on my nerves now and then. But as others have said, it's not too much of a price to pay considering TV coverage dedicated to boxing is quickly becoming a thing of the past.
