Austin Healey reckons Freddie Burns is the best running and dsitributing 10 in England but needs to improve his kicking.

Healy talks a fair bit of balls tbh, I like Burns though.
Heard recently from Healy:
"Lee Dickson has the best pass in world rugby"
"Ben Spencer has the best pass in the prem"

Trinder has been superb, Wade has struggled in the contact and with the high balls. Daley has looked good the few times Wasps have went through the hands.

Sale will be 4th (maybe 5th) over New Year which is pretty impressive!! and surprising. Got some tough trips to come in the 2nd half though.

Big result for Glaws. Shows how tight the league is at the moment, Irish started the weekend in 4th, and are now 7th without having played a game.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Wasps not a contest injuries unreal. Trinder kicking game poor but improving today he was excellent. This has never happened before. Has a huge punt but usually zero direction.
Trinder so good on front foot.
Missed a few tackles as ever buys Space with his runs and is England class.
Wade showed he Is miles away. Flutey missed 8 tackles I counted and EFS ran through him every time.
Elliot looks a player .
Watching the game I knew the Morgan try was not one how did the ref not I had the same angle.
Our rotation works in certain positions ie wing and hooker with dawiduik coming back from injury
In front row the subs were
Poor as ever. Wood incredible as ever and harden top drawer. Murphy and chistolini awful

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
It absolutely sucks supporting Wasps - never known a team that gets hit so badly with injuries, we'd struggle against teams like Bristol, Cornish Pirates atm - our pack is now playing 4/5th choice backrow, 4/5th choice 2nd row and we still have Payne & Broster upfront.
So annoying as our backs can destroy defences, just never get the ball for them - so frustrating but whole situation has come about as we have awful owners, who put Wycombe FC first & made zero investment in the rugby team!
Still at least we are bringing through good English talent - wade, daly and launchbury...

I forget how good Wasps were. Won as many trophies as Leicester from 2000 -2010 (or were at least mighty close).
They need their own ground I think. Been unlucky with players to be honest this season as no club would be prepared for so many retirements.

Steve our trouble has been money since we moved to Wycombe - takes me 3 hours to get to a home game, closer to Saints now! It's worst position to watch games and their training ground is still the same place it was in the amateur era (Barking have better facilities).
We never invested in players when we lost Alex king, Fraser Waters, Stuart Abbott, josh Lewsey, Rob Howley, Matt Dawson, cipriani, in backs and guys like leota, ibanez, vickery, dallagio, worsley, shaw, palmer, Haskell, betson etc - losing thommo, worsley to retirement this season was incredibly bad timing.
How you can expect to be a top team and not replace like for like quality is beyond me - hopefully Dae Youngs reputation will get some good players in but we need 6 new forwards to compete...

How good was Jonny May though - think he needs to be in the EPS - Mat was he overlooked for eng u20's? Can't remember him playing as midfield Elliott Daly was the star of the back line - apart from George Ford...
Wonder what forwards Lancaster will pick - sure back line will be care, flood, Ashton, Farrell/Barritt, tuilagi, sharples, foden - if we can get them ball then we've got a load of tries this 6N.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
didnt know May was slightly older. I'd have him on the bench as could be our version of JoC as a threat out wide. I hope he could end up playing at 12, not sure what his kicking game is like though.
I'd still stick with Sharples as think he's been largely frustrated in some of the games he's played in e.g. Gloucester pack has under performed or centres havent given him the ball. May gets more touches in the centres, so will get more chance to shine than Sharples, whose all round game this season has improved (positional, defence), just isnt scoring as many tries.

Don't lie over a ball and complain when you get a shoeing.
Referee got that very wrong.

Abbott having a huge game for Worcester as is Percival.
Croft has to be in the England side for me. Although he's not been at his best he offers so much in the loose, defence and the lineout.

Just watched Benjamin pick up one handed and hit the half way line with a kick from his own try line! Only 2mins in but pretty much the complete opposite of poor basics?

Pooly he was w a n k in the first half. Dropped the ball numerous times (from good passes) and missed tackles. I have not been watching as keenly 2nd half so can only say what I saw in the 1st.
Manu been quiet. Cole been very good as well.

I'm only 15mins in, I'll watch the first first half before disagreeing. The two passes he's received so far have been ok. Worcester backs seeing very little so far anyway.
Benjamin normally has excellent defence, it's one of his strongest assets.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
1st half watched and totally disagree, we must have watched a different game, he was more than solid tbh. Dropped a high pass from Perry which was after a knock on anyway, missed an awful pass from Pennell and failed with a stretched tap tackle. He was excellent in defence (the Smith drive back the highlight) and kicked very well. Not much in attack but the ball hardly got to the wingers! He was certainly not w a n k lol.....if you think he was I'd be interested in your views on Wade who really struggled yesterday in all facets.
I like watching a player after somebody has knocked him, an opinion can be forged by a glance at the tv. (Not saying thats the case here)
Was similar with Nick Wood, I watched him like a hawk yesterday and he was all the over the park, great work rate. Previously thought he was vortex in the loose.

Yea Kay said he should of took one(pass from Pennell), was an awul pass tbh. We'll agree to disagree, I think Bejamin is a class act. Apparently Saints & Tigers are chasing him, what he needs really to develop.

Just back from the game myself stnick. Thought Topsy played really well for us and the result was about a fair reflection of the game to be honest. Need to back that win up by beating Bath at their place on Sunday.
