Cardiff Blues Fans - what the Hell happened...???
First topic message reminder :
I just watched the Leinster vs Blues game I had recorded last night. What an awful performance, completely fell apart, let in a myriad of soft tries through lack of tackling.
Looks like the Blues need a serious kick up the backside from someone, because that level of play, lack of skill and final result were appalling and shouldn't happen to any team that have aspirations grander than getting humped by 50 points by Leinster.
I couldn't believe that when they interviewed the massively obese Justin Burnell after the match he let Phil Steel appropriate the blame on the WRU.
The Blues are missing 8 Players to the Welsh squad, The Scarlets have lost two less and they didn't have anywhere near the problems the Blues did they came away from Belfast with an LBP. They were also using only 3 NWQ players in their match day squad, the Blues had five in their pack, plus Lualala who was awful in defence.
What happens from here?
This game exposed some huge holes in the blues campaign, you cant go from winning your pool one week in the HEC to falling to pieces with a few players missing in the Rabbo the next.

Cardiff were only playing Leinster reserves
Hence the title of this thread.

Pretty sure I seen them players on the bench and come on in the second half. IF anything it highlighted the overall strength of Leinsters squad.

But still doesn't excuse the abject performance of the Blues - I think this highlights that the Blues really needed a clear out last season and should have started re-building after the Amlin win. Lualua has looked very poor every game I've seen him this season, Rush is a shadow of the player he was, Molitika needs to move over for Pretorious or Patterson, Fiilse isn't that good to justify his wages. Yet these are the players the Blues seem to be relying on and are slotting their youth players around these players instead of forcing these players out with new, hungry youth players.

Well you didn't see 4 of them and
Ross only played 27 mins whilst Sexton and Kearney played only 16 mins.
By the same token Healy only played 1 half and SOB went off with a quarter of the match to go.
This was a long way from being Leinsters strongest line up

wales606, he's a muppet. He is one of those "rugby is Irelands 10th choice sport" buffoons trying to put more gloss on the win when it is not needed. I suspect he was one of the ones to also say Ireland took a 4th choice team to NZ after they got thrashed by them.

I can see that he is from Belfast. I was just making a point. Would he care to make up excuses for Munster while he is at it?

He wasnt making excuses for anyone though?
Can he not have an opinion about a match if he wants no?

Yeah, cocky Ulster fans making a comment on Leinster games.
I reckon you just have sand in your vagina about Ireland for some reason. "10th choice sport"? Get it right, it's our 4th choice in terms of participation and 3rd choice in terms of attendance.

It was sarcasm. I don't have any problem with Ireland. I've been there, loved it and loved the people. Also have a few Irish friends as a lot live in South Wales and attend the same Uni as I. I also like Guinness. I hope this clears things up.

There were about ten First team players not playing in Dublin last week.
But a fifty point loss is still a pathetic effort by the Blues.

Sorry you cant cope with the fact a significantly under strength Leinster thrashed a significantly under strength Cardiff.
Needless to say pathetic insults are the last response for those without a logical response available.

I can cope with your incorrect statements, I am not a Cardiff fan.
Will you be one of the first to make excuses/false statements when Wales get their third on the bounce against Ireland in Dublin?

3rd win in a row in Dublin?
Soonest that can happen is in 2016.

A win in Dublin would make it 3 in a row over Ireland, Mick, if that were to happen. Which anyone not purposely being pedantic could have worked out.

Re: Cardiff Blues Fans - what the Hell happened...???
I wasn’t trying to be pedantic. You mentioned Dublin, which I thought was pertinent but Wales haven’t won there since 08.
It’s all good though, we took a serious hammering in the world cup. I was gutted at the time but it was easier to get over because I had to admire how the Welsh did it. Was cheering you on all the way against the French too. just sticking my very large tongue in my very small cheek here.

Yes I can see, I could have worded the sentence a bit better or just not mentioned Dublin at all. Thank you for the support, it would have been mutual had Ireland been playing the French.

You're not the only one Alyn and most definitely not the last. We still call him the pieman, so it must be confusing to many.
Clarkes pies are £2.50 at CCS aren't they? Bloody rip off. Very nice though and i've never tasted better although some say they are not as good as they used to be and I tend to agree. Mind you, watch out for the imposter that calls itself a "Cardiff Pie" and looks like a Clarkesy. It's rubbish. Always check the pastry underneath where it will state "Clarkes" if it's the real deal.

"Clarpie" rings a big bell and I think you're absolutely right. Better buy one tomorrow and check before I eat it.

Re: Cardiff Blues Fans - what the Hell happened...???
mmm clarkspies.
i worked in lawrence hill, brizzle (lawless hill) some years back and there was a clarks pie shop there. my brizzley boss told me it was a brizzle pie. the people in the brizzle shop told me the family started in cardiff.
i didnt want to correct my boss, so i just laughted at him behind his back. not long after, england knocked wales out of the world cup and went on to win it so maybe i shouldnt have been such a git.
this is a little off topic. oops
