Q + A with Electric Demon

Hi.

I've been with 6WF since it's inception - debuting in the first ever Born in Fire main event in 2007. I was a short lived commissioner back in 2008, inventing the Lockdown brand to sit alongside Acer's Shutdown. I was responsible for hand-picking the controversial River Ace as my successor as commissioner. The co-creator of the often equally controversial Trash TV. And created the characters Diablo, Bezerker, Cassius Zhi, as well as adopting Miss Jessica from Hero.

So, has anyone got any questions? Hopefully my memory is good enough to try and answer them.

JJ Johnson.

We had such a great feud when I first introduced Cassius Zhi, and the China vs America context worked really well, with us both playing it up. JJ is so difficult to beat in a promo battle because he can completely bombard you with an array of barbed insults, all with a comedic edge that you could easily imagine a crowd lapping up - but it makes it so easy to play the heel against him.

I hope one day we'll pick up where we left off. His teaser at the end of his promo yesterday made me think that maybe we will.

I just don't like people who don't promo for a match without explanation.

Which character could have been great had they stayed around?

Ecstatic. I've been like a bottle of pop for months (as you know from my PM's). I'm glad I've been able to find my rhythm with Cassius so quickly too, as I was worried having spent so much time out of competition.

My favourite character to promo as is so interchangeable.

At the time - my favourite character was Bezerker, because he was so different and completely surreal. But eventually that either became a bit cliched or I just wasn't as funny at it anymore. I don't think I could promo as him now. My favourite right now is Jessica. I think she is my most developed character.

Massively impressed by the new breed, and massive commendations need to go to Gregers for the introduction of 6NG, as well as the new guys themselves. There is a lot of fresh blood on the card since Cassius' left, and that's really exciting seeing that they are all talented. It means brand new feuds, and quality ones.

McManus is a great character, and the addition of Jenny is a good one. Keep doing what you are doing.

Best moment was writing 6WF Duality where Hero stole the 6WF Title. I think it enthused the roster and got them excited and wanting more.

Worst moment was letting Dubois and 6CW down with Cassius' ill-fated appearance in 6CW.

Your talents are quite extraordinary when it comes to promoing. Especially when you're on the attack. So why did you walk away from me during our session?

Solomon Riddick would be one of the biggest things in the "company" by now.

I do. Because now whenever a masked character appears, there is always accusations and predictions flying around. There was absolutely none of that. Completely unexpected. But it couldn't have been done without you cashing in your Freshers Ball in return for hosting the first ever Trashdown - which was utter genius

I give him my thoughts a lot via PM. He just needs to take everyone's advice on board and implement it. The best advice he has been given is Crime Lord's re-writing of his promo yesterday, showing how a little proof read can make a world of difference. The content however, gets better and better.

One day he will be World Champ.

Absolutely. I still say nasty, sometimes inappropriate things - but the fans inside my head like it. I tried changing my approach when Cassius first turned face, and actually received a PM from JJ that said I was losing the character's edge, and should ramp the nastiness back up - which was one of the best pieces of e-fed advice I have received, and really appreciated it.

Whats your thoughts on Longinus. Do you think he is getting a little stale with the same things (ie always going after the COH, as that is how he is booked)
What could you suggest to improve him?

I couldn't immediately think of a response that could out-do yours. What I would usually do in that instance is take a breather and have a little brainstorm and come back at you. But I thought it was massively impressive that you had only been doing it for a few months, yet had got me lost for words - so thought you deserved it articulated and acknowledged that that is what had happened.

I thought it was a better gesture than just posting it on Trash Talk, and I don't want it to ever be said that Cassius Zhi never put anyone over

What have been your thoughts on the COH storyline, including CJ's return and Hero's departure?

Probably the best storyline in 6WF's history, CJ's return inclusive

Hero's departure was too sudden and rushed for my liking, but he had to do what he had to do

Hero has the greatest mind for storylines, and CAN articulate it well.

What? Since the beginning of 6WF?

The difference is laughable. It's unquantifiable.

I think in the first few months we had maybe 3-4 top guys, no depth and quite a lot of unintelligible ramblings.

My fave period was when I couldn't get on 606 and had a 2 hour tiem delay to reply to promos whilst waiting for CruiserJim, RealDude and EZ Money to see my messages on another forum.

That can only be answered with why did I leave?

Because I got promoted in work, and needed time to nail the new role. I don't want to be on the roster if I don't have the time to give my opponents the promos they deserve every single week. It's not fair, and I've been on the other end of it and it's frustrating. I stayed active with Miss Jessica because it doesn't matter if I can't promo for a month with her - because no-one is relying on them.

Now I feel I can juggle both work and promoing again, so I wanted back in.

Will you leave us again?

What character would Hero morph into if he was to ever return?

I'd like to see an angle where he is not allowed back into his own church, and see how he reacts to that. Hero can do comedy very well, so it would be funny if he assembled a ridiculously poor replica of the Church with the usual suspects of Rasta, MC Zom-B, Zheng etc.
