Zárate was born in Haedo, Buenos Aires to a reasonably wealthy family with much footballing pedigree. His father Sergio is a former professional footballer, who played for Independiente de Avellaneda and A.C. Ancona. His mother, Catalina Riga, has Italian origins, with her family originating from Catanzaro in southern Italy. His grandfather Juvenal was Chilean and also a footballer.[26][27][28]
Does this mean I can include Zarate as an Italian national?

Who watched the Amir Khan fight? I heard that he was going to put a complaint about the ref because off the points, does he have a case? My friend did say that the ref warned him. I didn't watch the fight.

I want Modric but I don't have the money, can do a swap with Monty and money on top.
Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1, Page 10
No thanks Viva. If Modric goes, it is going to be for pure cash unless it is a worldy of an offer.
Probably going to reject that TP anyway as I can't think I can replace him with sufficient quality.

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1, Page 10
When do we start talking about next season? Like for pre-season matches and what transfer budgets you will have?
Will how much you get be decided on how well you have done - in regards not only to position you have finished but in players you have brought in and how well the chairmen (I suppose it would be league runners) think you can do next season?

Twist - you won't get an automatic boost in funds from your board.
Your budget will be whatever you have now, plus any you raise from sales, plus any from sponsors offers (which will be later this week/next week and normally involve a maximum lumpsum of around £10-12m)

Might this not lead to a gap widening between the best teams (who have the best players and can generate transfer funds) and the rest?
I admit I have a vested interest - being one of the 'rest' - but a chasm may open for the teams who have nothing to offer in terms of player sales and those who do.

I can only use my team as an example, so sorry if this sounds big headed. The previous manager of Malaga cut the team to shreads with some stupid transfers and I think I have done well to put together an average looking team and not one that is easily rolled over and can still get a chance to qualify for Europe this season. In that way I would hope the "board" would be more favourable bearing in mind what could have been if I hadn't come in (i.e finishing last - Juventus beat me in my very first week). Yes I have only got one win out of three, but I think my team was more or less ready come last week and I am confident in my tactics for the game against Liverpool. The first two weeks, I was still moulding it.
Something to bear in mind

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1, Page 10
The point is, every single manager, when they started, got a budget for spending.
It shouldn't matter if the previous manager spent money.

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1, Page 10
CF - I didn't ask for additional budget though. I'm just highlighting that there are different situations. Marky and Nad are like me - coming in without the starting budget and trying to mould a winning team. We haven't finished that high up the league due to circumstances out of our control. If it was based purely on where we finished in the league, surely that it is unfair on Marky for instance?
For example, if Kean gets the chop and a new manager comes in with a 10 million transfer budget, spends in January and saves Blackburn from getting relagated, surely that is better than being a manager for the whole season, spending the initial transfer budget and then finishing last?
Anyway it was just a question. Jeez lol

I appreciate your stance Twist.
I am against league prize money for this very reason as I want to keep the leagues as competitive as possible.
However, we don't want to flood the league with cash either, so the sponsors are the only additional funds that will come into any club, with the less succesful clubs having more favourable sponsors offers.

if we get 3 choices for sponsres is one going to be front loadde, lots of cash at the start , not much thru the season, back loaded, not much at the strat but a big reward at the end, and evenly distributed, small amounts of cash given regulary thru the season?
