I am against league prize money for this very reason as I want to keep the leagues as competitive as possible.
However, we don't want to flood the league with cash either, so the sponsors are the only additional funds that will come into any club, with the less succesful clubs having more favourable sponsors offers.
Cheers Afro, that's fair. I just didn't know how high up league standard is recognised when you calculate all this.

Here's an example of what sponsors used to be like:
The following companies have approached your club in regards to a Sponsorship deal.
You may only accept one deal. If the target is met the extra will be paid out at the end of the season.
Brindley Honda would like to put forward their season long sponsorship, after a disappointing season the offer is:
Initial Sum: £7m
Bonus: £6m per win, £3m per draw
Target: Top 7
If met: £6m
KFC have put forward their sponsorship offer for the year. The will also supply match day refreshments. Their offer is below:
Initial Sum: £9m
Bonus: £4m per win, £2m per draw
Target: Top 5
If met: £10m
Match.com have put all the details into their computer and they announce the perfect partnership is them and you. They see the potential in the club and therefore offer:
Initial Sum: £14m
Bonus: £3m per win, £1.5m per draw
Target: Top 4
If met: £14m
Please specify which offer you will be accepting below.

I like that idea.
I was just wondering (sorry for getting the way of a discussion) how were teams assigned at the beginning of the league?

Wagwan peoples.
What a let down El Clasico was. How lucky can barca get. After a great start by Madrid they stepped down a gear and allowed barca to get into their rhythm and pass the ball about. Ronaldo played Poopie all game! He missed two great chances which he really should have buried. But the main talking point was that Messi should have been sent off. If you see the ref after Messi fouls Alonso to stop a potential Madrid counter attack he is about to take a card out but then realises he already booked Messi earlier so lets him off with a warning. Double flipping standards or what!

Thought it would have been harsh to send off Messi, but the referee was pretty poor for me. Seemed to be bringing out the card for some of the most innocuous things!
Barca were excellent, but Real should have been 2-0 up, Ronaldo wouldn't miss many more like that, surely?

I wasn't going that high when I already have Eriksen and it'd have knocked out the balance on my left side to have acquired him.

yeah it'd have left me with 2 WC players who prefer a central role and Rodriguez coming back into the team to play LW (who is fantastic but it's still currently a step back for me)
Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 1, Page 10
Not impressed with Ganso going to Arsenal lads.
I got a straight no as he was linked with a couple of other clubs, if money was the object, I would have raised the cash for it when I first went for him but was told it wasn't the money, whereas now it appears it is!

Personally I'd have thought you'd have been a shoe in for Gotze with the strong press links to him rather than Ganso.

and they allegedly see Ganso as the perfect signing
Ganso has also been linked with clubs such as Anzhi Makhachkala and AC Milan, but the presence of compatriot Hulk and former team-mates such as Danilo and Alex Sandro could push him towards the Portuguese champions.
Lazy journalism.

Also, even with that report it still got you a no in your previous bid, so doesnt explain what has changed to get a negotiate now.

The three lawyers offers I accepted were reliant on TP's and other offers.
I sold Rosi for £6M and replaced him with Crescenzi £1M, both real life Roma right backs, and I sold Coleman £7M and Osman £6M and bought Joe Cole £10M and Albert Adomah £4M, made £4M and my squad is better for it IMO.
Haven't turned down my £10M Tim Cahill and £25M Steven Gerrard offers yet, although probably wont accept them.

£30m for a 30 (31?) year old Scott Parker? I'd bite their hands off! But you would have to be smart on picking up replacements.

Well you could pick up someone of real quality for £30m -- not that Scott Parker is rubbish -- but you need to think of them on TP's I imagine!
