Glove on, glove off, glove on!!!!!!!

First topic message reminder :

Why is it that most pros I watch on TV take their glove off after each shot?

I can understand taking it off for putting, but why do it between other shots. Personally I find it irritating taking a glove on and off and leave it on most of the time.

It's probably historical anyway. Grips used to be wound leather and they did used to get very, very slippery when wet, as the song goes.

With the grips of nowadays, I can see little reason for wearing a glove at all and most probably wouldn't if I started again. But in me, after 50 years of playing golf, it is so ingrained that I feel strange holding any club without a glove on.

I stand by my statement:- If the sole reason etc.

OS - I meant one on each hand!

I know where you're coming from, wearing a glove is ingrained in me after 3 years of playing golf, never mind 50!
