Toulouse - loadamoney but a sh1te pitch!!!
Why is that the supposedly richest club in Europe Toulouse can't lay out a decent pitch. During parts of today's games v Quins the pitch looked as if a plough had been taken top it the way it was getting cut up especially in scrums. Worst pitch I've seen in the past two weeks HC games - and I've watched a total of nine games plus the Real-Barca match last week. Sad I iknow!

Might it have been because it was recently relaid? I've often heard that is the problem with the Millenium Stadium pitch. Multi-use and often gets relaid. Maybe any French posters could state whether the pitch is usually like that.

they played at "the stadium" which is toulouse football ground (as opposed to the smaller ernest wallon) with allegedly the same pitch as Barcelona camp nou ! think it has been relaid 1 month ago and all week rain (very unusual in this part of france) has finished to ruin it. not strong enough for rugby anyway.

Good thing for Quins as the Toulouse scrum couldn't get purchase on the ground. Weakened the scrum advantage a bit.

Dangerous though, wasn't a dodgy pitch at scrum time ( and being crap at scrummaging) the reason why two Ozzie props had to be stretchered off in the Barbarians game at Wembley a couple of seasons ago?

How bad was that pitch on saturday? it looked just like the MS pitch. can undersatnd the MS pitch being like it is because it is on pallets. But toulouse pitch is not on pallets so should not cut up like it did.

I thought that they usually play in a different stadium (Stade Ernest-Wallon) which they own but when there is a big game they move it to the one they were playing on Sunday (Stadium Municipal) which is owned by someone else. So technically it isn't there responsibility i guess, although im sure they would have liked it to have been in better condition!
