I may have missed this but in a rush.
Will the 11/12 season be full length and then we start next season (12/13) in line with AP fixtures?

Right lads.....I'm looking at trimming initial squad sizes to 40 and academies of 15.
I'm going to change the acadamy age to 22 on 1 Sept 11.
I wouldn't worry too much about the players in your academy as I'm going to make players upto the age of 20 on 1 Sept 11 exclusive to your squad.
Any player over this will have to be bid on but you will have first refusal at 0.5m.
I'll adjust rules as needed

Getting on top of Flatman in scrum but its Baths lineout that's the shambles. I don't know what Donald is getting paid but it's 99% too much

I'm not surprised, Bath don't really have an out and out lineout technician. Although I rate Attwood.

I don't think PDJ is getting on top of Flatman myself Pooly. I'd say its honours even tbh same with Tonga and Wilson.
I thought it might be a big saints scrum today so a bit surprised.

He was initially, got 2 straight pens (first 20) not so much now. Even less with a 6 man scrum! Game onR

Hi all, sorry that I haven't been around, thanks for sorting out my draft, Shaw is perfect.
Wow, how come Bath are down to £30m all of a sudden? Less than Glos and Irish and equal with Quins!!!

Ok, fair enough. Its a bit tricky, I understand that, especially with teams playing above and below their squads 'on paper' at the moment

Pooly - my original squad was 40 players. Do I need to drop two immediately
to make room for my drafts or release two at a later date?

Re: Aviva Premiership Season 1 - Homepage
Pooly, what's the score with releasing players to get under the 40?
Is that to start the season or now? Just might assist the smaller sides with picking up some decent players if they can throw in 2 for 1 deals, so might be beneficial to let people stay over for a bit but have to be under before the fixtures start.

Me too, it's going to be a bit mental.
Advice to the new guys.....don't rush into a deal. Give things some thought and try and think ahead till next season etc

Re: Aviva Premiership Season 1 - Homepage
different challenges for everyone. For teams like Chiefs, Sale, Worcester, Newcastle, Wasps, Bath you have to have one eye firmly on getting the results this season and not getting relegated, whilst looking ahead to next and building going forward. Might have to sacrifice a potentially very good youngster to get in a proven talent in the short term to ensure staying afloat.
For the bigger teams it might be the other way, like yourself at Leicester Pooly might have to let a couple of internationals go to ensure you have enough cover during the international windows.
Smaller squad s makes it much more of a challenge and much more realistic.
Can't wait, I have a list of 44 players that I am interested in!!!

Just a suggestion, but in the interest of fairness to all of those who are not on as much, it might be an idea that once the draft has been completed, you give like a few hours notice of the domestic transfer market opening before people are able to dive in.

Re: Aviva Premiership Season 1 - Homepage
Any players you need to discard to get to your 40 limit don't count as releases Pete.
Everybody needs to be at the 40 mark before we start basically, who you have to release is your problem (that's not meant to sound nasty but does somehow!?!?)

Only thing with that is that is people may delet players that others want to sign. Would make sense for a releases page so everyone can see who those players are and bid for them if they want them.
