Is Scott Johnson a plonker?
Re: Scott Johnson
ha can't argue with that! but maybe you should put up the link to the Beeb article to show why?

Re: Scott Johnson
This is more of a general rant against him, rather than his latest attempt at skullduggery.
He's an egotistical show off who loves the sound of his own voice. He is annoyed that he can't get the best out of his squad, and Welsh rugby could do without him.

Re: Scott Johnson
Another old man who is a late adopter to technology - nothing new.
Owens is free to talk to whoever he wants to, him and the players all know that what goes on Twitter is publically available (except for private messages) and so what's the problem?
Its almost analogical to Owens sitting in a pub and has a chat with Scarlets players who are there.

Re: Scott Johnson
SJ does have a lot to say about nothing I agree. NO tweets with both sides players so I don't see a problem. If he came to PYS in Scarlets training gear with I 8 Ospreys on the back then yes...........

Johnson needs to stop spouting off and go back to what he does best.
Running up and down the touchline trying to get the crowd excited while handing drinks to players.

Re: Scott Johnson
Why is Scott Johnson so derided? Surely he should be a Welsh legend? After all he did coach Ospreys to the 2009/10 Celtic League trophy.
Also surely he should take some credit for the heroic 2005 Welsh grandslam?
He has done a lot for Welsh rugby - why the hatred?

Why a ploker?
Riding 1st or 2nd in the league plus what he said about Owens is completely right.
Imagine if a Premiership referee was on twitter chatting to Terry and Evra etc..
IT'S INSANE.

Scott Johnson - Complete plonker or a good coach who's right?
Many moronic fools who know nothing about rugby are online today slagging off Scott Johnson.
What he said about Owens was perfectly correct and if we had a premiership football ref doing the same thing it would be a global scandal.
Johnson is a good coach. Helped Wales win a grandslam, Ospreys win a league and at the moment the Ospreys are having one of the worst seasons ever. Riding either 1st or 2nd in the Pro 12. Shame on you Johnson you bad bad coach...

Re: Scott Johnson
Owens is............... rather too available to fans. I've always found it a little uneasy or maybe even queasy. And I'm not sure about the rest of the refs, as I don't DO Twitter but he seems to be the most prominent. Even getting involved in the 'racist' slurs tet a tets during the WC.
He strikes me as a fair judge on the field, I don't think he elects favourites, I wouldn't feel unsafe with a game in his hands but the chatting to fans on Twitter pre and post games??? It is his private business I suppose but surely the administrators must feel that there could be a issue whereby his authority is compromised by comments made.
BUT... do get rid of that thing on your head on winter evenings Scott. We know you have lovely thick hair, put a hat on.

Re: Scott Johnson
All I know is that the IRFU would not be allowed to conduct himself on Twitter as Nigel Owens does.
It is all harmless Im sure but I suspect if Wales had any other top options in terms of referees this would be monitored more closely.
If Owens chooses to hang up the whislte then James Jones is the best ref in the whole principality.

You are joking?
-Ospreys PR has been nothing short of embarrassing in the last few months. They need no extra attention at all.
-Why is it insane for a referee in west wales to chat to players in west wales? if he saw them in the pub should he ignore them?
-Johnson is putting extra pressure on this appointment. It already has controversial history. Why add fuel to the fire 3 days before it?
Because he is an utter plonker, who has no self awareness, a massive ego and loves the sound of his own voice.

Re: Scott Johnson
Nigel Owens makes it perfectly clear on his twitter that what he posts are his own views and not the WRU's. Same as on facebook. I have never known him, not once, to mention anything that could call his professionalism into question.
Johnson has just churned out a ridiculous statement, and oh surprise surprise just before a big derby match. Think he's made himself look a bit of a fool.
Also, going to merge this with the already existing Scott Johnson thread

Re: Scott Johnson
He's always been a plonker who loves hismelf. Wandering round the millennium stadium looking like Nick Nolte in Point Break, waving his arms around asking the crowd for more noise.
Troublemaker. That is what he is.
And Welsh rugby needs as few of these as possible.
