I think they will be basing there selection on more than one game. That was woods first poor game of the season. He has had the better of Castro and some other really good props this year.
If you go on the shed head lots of glaws fans hacked off with yesterday. Lawson at hooker getting particular grief. Steve he scrummages worse that titterell who you must have watched many times.
Lots of people clamouring for may to start instead of tindall who is on

Or foden croft robshaw etc.
Think the captaincy should be given after a side is picked with moody and borthwick we had picked them as captain and had to play them despite them not deserving to play.

I don't think Youngs, Foden or Flood would make a good captain.

Irish get a scrum penalty in a kickable position and turn it down for another scrum, which Sale win and clear. It's 12-10 ffs, take the points!!!!

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4 homepage
Think we should assign captaincy per game basis until a leader emerges. We have a lot of young players and not sure how things will pan out.
Flood has no leadership experience to my knowledge although my knowledge of falcons is minimal.
can't make robshaw captain as he has not played international rugby and is unproven and not guarantee place. Still think it would be wood croft as flankers although not sure of balance unless you have an Alberts/pickles style 8.
Hartley a good bet for me the other hooker gray and George are young and will take a while

George? He can't be in contention for an EPS spot surely.

I think SL is keeping his cards close to his chest , it's as if he's trying to create competition before the squad has even gathered itself.
He's putting names out there to see if players will step up to the mark , a very clever move from Mr.Lancaster.

I think Morgan or Fearns would work with Wood and Croft in the future. Both very big and physical characters.

If you have Croft and Wood as flankers, then Morgan may be the 8 we are looking for as his carrying is his strongest point.

Could work, Robshaw would be ideal bench option if that combo played.
Not seen anything of Fearns to suggest he'd be involved with England anytime soon tbh

For me the captain has to be gaurenteed his place and from what i think the EPS will be that only leaves.
Dylan Hartley
Dan Cole
Tom Palmer
Tom Wood
Ben Youngs
Chris Ashton
Ben Foden
I think come the Jocks game Hartley will be skipper.

I would have Hartley, Cole, Lawes, Croft, Flood, Tuilagi, Ashton and Foden as the guaranteed starters currently if they were fit. Hartley the obvious choice from those.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4 homepage
Lots of people have George in the EPS.
Barnes and dewi Morris as well as quite a few other pundits have picked him. The rugby club 2 weeks ago had a segment on him and they talked of him this week.
Been playing well and is great at basics and round the park.
For me as with may its too early

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4 homepage
In the Times they are saying its a straight fight between Wood and Robshaw as captain - Mallinder came out in mid week and said that he'd have no hesitation in giving the captaincy to Wood. I think they will go for Wood and Croft on flanks and then two powerful second rows - we'd have best lineout in the world with Wood and Croft - just need a few ball carriers in front five and possibly Morgan as no8 as Easter hasnt got a place in the EPS.
For me only other contender is Hartley as captain - think he has been on top form of late - does so much work.
Been reading a lot of what Lancaster says and have been very impressed - he makes a very good point on Farrell as a 12 - reckon he's a cert for the starting England shirt, he's got that mental toughness that singles him out as an international - great gk too.
Anyone read the times today and Stuart Barnes article on Matt Hopper - 'Harlequins centre has the hands and feet to become England's Conrad Smith' - no pressure then! Can see what he means about the hands though...

Hartley the obvious candidate from nailed on starters of
Flood, Youngs, Hartley, Ashton, Flood, Manu.
Comparing Hopper to Conrad Smith is the stupidest statement I've ever heard from a pundit, typical Barnes

The EPS hope it is a bold team with an eye on the future. Also hope they add some youngsters that just train alongside the squad for development. Not Eps members but a youth development kind
Of thing. All blacks have done this for decades. Helps players learn what it takes to be an international and what is expected. Woodward did it also
