Pakistan are fragile when it comes to batting, especially their middle order. One quick wicket after lunch could bring 2 and then 3. I reckon they'll be all out by the close. Monty to get five for!

If we can get Khan out early, then the rest of the side can sometimes be very fragile.
First hour after lunch will be crucial.

If England can get 140-150/5 breaker, i would be over the moon. I am not a fan of Panesar's but also feel he will do well here.

Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test
Does anyone else think Monty should try bowling over the wicket? He is drifting the ball in to the batsmen at the moment, but a change of angle could cause more issues. Would surely be worth a go for a couple of overs.

Check your settings in your Profile/Preferences, Bb.
I think there is an option there somewhere to show emoticoms.

Younis and Misbah the key remaining wickets, you'd have to say.
Akmal performed well last Test but his average is nothing to write home about.

Checked that mate, still doesn't work. I often have this happening when someone adds an image. Not all the time though.

Absolutely no assistance for the quicks here. It makes them look like medium pacers.

When's your release date Bb?
You gotta love Nasser. For all his flaws as a player he always has something interesting to say.

They let me out after every visit I make to my uncle we don't talk about.
Rugby I can accept, but Zol is not culture mate. It is lifestyle.

Pakistan getting away after lunch, few boundaries in succession. Wickets not easy to come by here (well, until England bat...)

Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test
Misbah is the other key batsman. Once hes gone Pakistan are pretty thin, theres a chanc eto get hem out for under 300 which really would be a huge plus for England. It does look like two spinners was the way to go for this pitch despite what Broads just done. I still fancy Pakistan to have no trouble bowling England out, but at least we are in the game.

I think that Broad has been very containing. Maybe not as big a threat as he can be but he has been containing and built some pressure.
This may sound weird but i would take him off and pair Swann and Jimmy now...

Hundred's up for Pakistan, another wicket things could get intresting, nearly another close call for Broad there.

Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test
Swann and Jimmy isn't a bad shout, mix things up. Another wicket soon would be huge, particularly if it was Misbah. Can't see it, though, that swine has a tendency to hang around in limpet like fashion, boring all and sundry to tears.

How we getting on?
Just got in the office, looking forward to this test lasting the full 5!

A bit of chop and change in the bowling might unsettle the Pakistanis. Starting to feel a little better about this ;-)

Well breaker has been unbearable since the Aussies are cruising
Biltong is being his usual cheeky self
As for the cricket, very close competition so far but England are starting to edge it slightly and i feel are one more wicket away from being in a very commanding position
Morning KB
Broad again as i write

Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test
Wow these two would make Boycott proud, 2 runs from 4 overs worth of balls between them so far.
Big change from the Pakistan we saw in England who were content to loose their wickets cheaply so long as they made tehir case for inclussion in the T20 squad along the way.
