good timing roakey! haha.
when do eng ever make it easy for themselves?
after the last game, i'd say pakistan are ahead in this match. eng looked feeble with the bat.

bingo. won't deserve to be number 1 if we can't win in these conditions either.
it's one thing getting it but you have to keep it. Only Aussie have reall convinced there in recent decades.

wow that was a dodgy decision.
but in all honesty i think he 100% caught it- but i didnt see a clear edge, even though the commentators did.
was the edge proven

I have been banging on about it, for god sake Straussy, be more positive and rotate the strike.
Otherwise the pressure builds.

Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test
Anyone think short chases like these are worth a pinch-hitter? Send in someone like Swann to try to give it a smash. If he comes off he knocks off 30 of the runs and takes all the pressure off your other batsman, if he doesn't you've only lost your number 9 batsman.

Good shout, I was thinking of Broad before Bell was sent out. But I guess you look silly if it fails.

Funny how they come in an out of form. None look happy in these conditions.
I honestly think pak are favourites at this stage simply because of engs batting frailty which we have seen time after time,

Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test
The thing is, if Pakistan get us 100-7 we'll have Swann coming out without a licence to hit, and if the top order haven't managed to bat properly against the attack, why should the lower-order be able to?
Broad is a decent batsman, but Swann is little more than a hitter and can come out without pressure. Ask one of them to come out and whack it around with the fields up. It's a shot-to-nothing in my opinion.

Wow! Went into an appointment in work with no wickets down and come back and they've lost 2, oh dear, nerves are starting a little bit now.

"I honestly think pak are favourites at this stage simply because of engs batting frailty which we have seen time after time"
they still arnt favourites however its certainly getting closer to the balance!
i dont really know what england you have watching in recent years mind, we have been batting resiliantly time and time again- unless you base it on the last test.
4 down- you should have had a bet- you could have got 8/1 on pakistan

Reasoning is sound - the less pressure on the batsmen the better. Ouch - two wickets while I write a post - I shall keep on typing!

Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test
What happened to trott? anything serious to deny him the rest of the series? Have only been able to watch the cricket in bits.
England have to be more positive. Strauss has to make his massive luck count here, the captain hasn't been scoring much of late.
With KP gone, its become a massive challenge for England. Will Morgan step up and put all the doubters out of business?

Ahh come on, this would be a complete joke if we loose from here. Time to bring a replacement in for Morgan, he isn't a test player.

Illness. Will probably bat if he has to in this game, will hopefully be back for the third test as well.

there are so many great england players in the A side, we should really be using some of the depth we have to try and fill that position
