Edinburgh V Toulouse - 7th April
Pretty pleased we've got this date, hopefully the rugby clubs will have early kick offs of any games they have then, although that is near the end of the season. Also avoided good Friday and Easter Sunday which is helpful. Will help the travelling fans too not being on a Friday night.
And most importantly - that is the day of my 25th Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gonna be messy!

Miserable.
Have a wedding in Essex on the 7th so won't be able to make it, despite moving to a flat 15 minutes on foot from Murrayfield.
Was praying we'd get the Sunday game.

Sadly yes, and despite that, the thought had already crossed my mind.

Unless they are an immediate relative (or it is your own wedding) I'm sure the bride wouldn't mind!

The best part of this is I get to go to Murrayfield on the Saturday and drink and watch rugby and the next day the early kickoff is Ulster/Munster so I get to kill the hangover with more rugby beer!

My dad was the best man at his best friends wedding on the day of the Grand slam game in 1990. The running joke was that they would get the organist to hold up score cards during the service!

Sadly we've been friends for about 15 years and she came up to Scotland for mine a couple of years back. Not sure I can dodge it.
Such a shame, although hopefully Edinburgh making the QFs of the HC will become a regular business......

Sounds like you need to bring out the old "selfish, thoughtless behaviour" lecture - let me know if you haven't got an up-to-date copy, I'll lend you mine on Sunday!funnyExiledScot wrote:Sadly we've been friends for about 15 years and she came up to Scotland for mine a couple of years back. You'd be more than welcome - as long as you supported Edinburgh!
Should be billed as the whole of Scotland getting behind the team - not just Edinburgh

Should be fine, I hear the SRU have hired some decontamination facilities to put on the western facing entrances...

We'll get the details nailed down nearer the time but I guess we could meet up at Haymarket at about half 1 ish and hit a pub or 2 on the way down to to Murrayfield.
I'll be more hardcore and be starting somewhere on rose street from around midday. Since It's RDW's birthday weekend I think we should get him boomed.

so glad I have this to look forward to. A team that play running rugby and score tries. Sure the Burgh dont always win, but at least they play the right sort of rugby!

She who must be obeyed wont let me go to Paris with the boys to see The Chiefs as it's Easter weekend so I'm taking her up to see her mother in Glasgow instead . Just haven't told her about our day out in Edinburgh yet.

Re: Edinburgh V Toulouse - 7th April
It is good they are doing that but am slightly disappointed it will be 30 quid on the day - I reckon at least 1000 of the 11000 crowd were walk ups on the day against London Iris because people saw it was nice weather and fancied going.
For 30 quid it might put off a large number of fair weather fans who would only decide on the day.

Join with me it getting the Edinburgh game swapped with the Ulster game.
I have a family wedding to go to on Easter Monday, daughter is a bridesmaid, and cannot make the game on Sunday but I could have made the Saturday.
The Edinburgh/Ulster match swap petition starts here
