Munster vs Toulouse, Champions Cup Saturday 1st April
No thread on this, so thought I might as well.
Munster:
15 - S Zebo
14 - D Sweetnam
13 - J Taute
12 - R Scannell
11 - K Earls
10 - T Bleyendaal
9 - C Murray
1 - D Kilcoyne
2 - N Scannell
3 - J Ryan
4 - D Ryan
5 - B Holland
6 - P O'Mahony (capt)
7 - T O'Donnell
8 - CJ Stander
Toulouse:
15 - M Medard
14 - Y Huget
13 - F Fritz
12 - G Fickou
11 - P Perez
10 - JM Doussain
9 - S Bezy
1 - C Baille
2 - L Ghiraldini
3 - C Johnston
4 - R Gray
5 - Y Maestri
6 - T Dusautoir (capt)
7 - Y Camara
8 - F Cros
Bookies have Munster fairly heavy favourites. Its at Thomond Park and there is no doubt about how good Munster are, but the Toulouse pack and outside backs are very strong. Not sure about those half backs though.

Toulouse has probably the worst ever halfback pairing featuring in an European champion cup QF ever! As if the handicap of playing in Thomond park was not enough! Gonna be the last game of European rugby ligind Thierry Dussautoir so be nice to them

Possibly the most stupid yellow I have ever seen. I can't believe he nearly got away with that.

JP Doyle is a really poor ref, both sides confused at times.
Munster, for all their possession have not been clinical enough. Toulouse will go in feeling very confident.

JP Doyle, you absolute disgrace of a ref. Even the Toulouse players look shocked that was awarded...

If that try is OK, then Brive were definitely robbed against Bath when their try was denied.

How exactly is he a disgrace? He can't rule out a try for suspicion

Ruled out for a clear knock on, he was about to give the Munster try until the TMO said it clearly bounced in front of the line after starting on it
You cant compare the two

Oh dear...
You cannot see the wood for the trees my friend. Did you think that the pass went backwards? Tyler's non try, was a marginal but correct call, that was not.

Unless you were sitting in Thomond in line with it the only way you can be sure is with your red tinted glasses
It looked forward but then again it looked like there was no knock on for the 'try' that wasn't
The camera angle wasn't great and you can't fill in the gaps because it suits one side or the other

Re: Munster vs Toulouse, Champions Cup Saturday 1st April
Players reactions say it all for me marty, the Toulouse players were also shocked that was allowed.
I ask again, do you think that pass was forward or not? Even on replays it looked forward. If JP was going for the benefit of the doubt then surely the Munster non try should have been allowed, no?

Just because the ball goes forward doesn't mean its a forward pass though

Are you talking about the final pass? There was a forward pass as clear as day right in front of Doyle a phase or two before it. It couldn't have been more obviously forward.

Well played, Munster
Great to get two of the Provinces through, and hopefully Glasgow can get past Sarries, massive task that it is.

We were Poor and while Toulouse never looked like winning the score line is very flattering to Munster. POM and Zebo outstanding. John Ryan well deserved motm. Even though he has been very good for the last year for Munster big shout out to Duncan Williams. We actually didn't miss Murray today

Great job by munster, I would have thought that late elbow charge in the chest should have been a red?

Very lucky boy he was, any other time in the match and with a more competent ref, it was a red.
Agree with Geen sport, Williams was excellent today and I actually think he gives Tyler quicker ball to work with than Murray.
Although he only played 50mins, my motm was easily POM. He was ruling the line out with 3 steals in the first half. Getting better and better every game, just hope he and CJ are not injured.

I would also like to add that there can be no more doubts that POM at 6 and CJ at 8 is the best combination in Ireland.

Munster fans love big statements, that's the joke. Munster by the grace of God, stand up and fight, POM and CJ best in Ireland etc.
