knock ons, for the love of god the knock ons
Fusaro off for Glasgow and Forrestar on, not sure if Fusaro was limping a bit or not.

16 - 9, Glasgow earn a penalty after a good few mintues of pressurised play.
Phillips was down injured for a bit. If he goes off, we're down to our 4th choice hooker!

Phillips off but luckily he doesn't seem too injured. Hawkins on now at 2. Lose our lineout though

19 - 9.
Scarlets got a huge task to even get a lbp now. Tough tough ask.

Re: Glasgow Warriors vs Scarlets
Glasgow well deserving of the win, denying Scarlets even a LBP. They go 4 points clear of us now. This could prove really costly in our play off chances. But seriously, well played Glasgow.

Diolch
It is a long way but this is a key time in the Pro12, if you get points now you'll be doing yourselves massive favours later on.
Scarlets could go from being 1 point away from the playoffs to missing out on 8 points now against Glasgow and Leinster (seeing how Leinster played today that's very likely!), then we'll be way off the pace and playing catch up big style. Just the weird way this league pans out I guess!

Yep, wish this game ahd been tomorrow though. We'd have had Liam Williams, Aaron Shingler and Stevo all available then. I really do curse the scheduling sometimes!
But thems the breaks, affects us all.

Good win. All about the Glasgow defence. Harley, Fusaro and Wilson certainly had the better of the Scarlets backrow. Hard work won the day really.
Jackson was rusty, some horrid misses with the boot (one at the sticks and another two missing touch) but he'll improve. He was otherwise lively.
Good win. Now let's hope Edinburgh beat the Ospreys.

Re: Glasgow Warriors vs Scarlets
Fair play to Glasgow if the Scarlets had snuck a bonus point then that would have been unfair. Glasgow were the team on the top through out and deserved the win.
Also, anyone else wonder why the Scarlets (and Scotland in the 6Ns last weekend) didn't try those grip gloves, that people used to wear in the back around the '07 RWC, in the second half as holding onto the ball seemed to be a serious issue.

Re: Glasgow Warriors vs Scarlets
I just can't believe how poor the Scarlets skills were all round - how many kicks went straight out on the full, or had been carried back over the 22 1st? And the number of knock ons at cruical stages or turnovers in the same areas.
Glasgow played really well, but i'm still shocked at how poor the Scarlets were, even though I know we were missing a lot of players.
Seems we might miss the play offs again

Re: Glasgow Warriors vs Scarlets
Good news. With Low and Cusack it means that Glasgow will actually have some depth and options at tighthead, with Welsh and Grant squaring up for the loosehead position.
Good work Lineen in developing these options.

Lemi heading off to Wuss when his stint is up:
I'm reading this as confirmation that Lineen has seen the light and does believe that Hoggy is a 15 and not a 13, and interesting what he says about players still to come in in other areasDavid Lemi will move to Worcester at the end of the season
David Lemi has confirmed that he is to join Worcester when his short-term contract with Glasgow expires at the end of the season.
The winger arrived at Scotstoun Stadium last November, and has since featured in six RaboDirect PRO12 games and will continue to help Glasgow's bid for the play-offs before moving to Sixways in the summer.
Head coach Sean Lineen today paid tribute to the Samoan international’s professionalism, and hailed the strength in depth in the Warriors back three.
Sean told www.glasgowwarriors.org: “David has had a positive influence on and off the field through the manner in which he’s conducted himself.
“When DTH van der Merwe injured his shoulder, we needed a good quality replacement, and David has stepped in the breach very capably.
“DTH is progressing well in his rehabilitation, and we’re very happy with the back three options we’ve got going forward.
“Stuart Hogg is getting more and more impressive all the time, Peter Murchie and Tommy Seymour have really been coming onto a game of late, and Colin Shaw and Federico Aramburu have both scored important tries.
“Rory Lamont has done well since returning to the club, and we’ve got Sean coming in next season too. We’re looking strong in that part of the team, and we’re very hopeful of adding players in other areas in the near future.”
David said: “I would like to thank Glasgow Warriors and Scottish Rugby for the wonderful opportunity I’ve been given this season. I’ve really enjoyed my time in Glasgow as part of a fantastic squad of players under a strong management team.
“We are in a good position in the RaboDirect PRO12 and I remain totally committed to helping Glasgow reach the play-offs and make this season a successful one before I make the move to Worcester.”

Re: Glasgow Warriors vs Scarlets
I really hope so. DTH should have the 13 jersey next season, he made a really got shot at centre in the World Cup.
Hogg should be at 15 with Tommy Seymour and Rory Lamont completing the back three. I'd have Sean Lamont at 12 with Cusiter and Weir as half backs.
Pyrgos (or Gregor if not on Sevens duty), Jackson and Morrison (or Murchie or Shaw) on the bench. Jackson should be prepared to come on at 10 or at 12.
That's a good backline with good options on the bench. It's essential that Hogg gets the 15 jersey so he can continue to develop (and by that I don't mean have all the spark and creativity coached out of him).

Aarrgghhhh, NO!!! Troy Nathan, a far more creative alternative!funnyExiledScot wrote:I really hope so. DTH should have the 13 jersey next season, he made a really got shot at centre in the World Cup.

Re: Glasgow Warriors vs Scarlets
Ah yes, forgot about Troy Nathan.
Ok, so put Nathan at 12 and Sean Lamont on the wing ahead of Seymour or at 13 and put DTH onto the wing.
That looks better. Next season:
1.Welsh 2.Thompson 3.Low 4. Kellock(c) 5.Ryder 6.Harley 7.Barclay 8.Beattie 9.Cusiter 10.Weir 11.S Lamont 12.Nathan 13.DTH 14.R Lamont 15.Hogg
16.Kalman (or Cusack) 17.MacArthur 18.Grant 19.Campbell (or MacAlpine) 20.Wilson 21.Pyrgos 22.Jackson 23.Seymour
Done. Decent side. Doesn't even have to use Fusaro, Gregor, Wight, Morrison, Murchie, Shaw or Horne. We're slowly getting to that point where the two pro sides actually have good squads and not just decent XVs, and hopefully not too far away from a sensible debate on a 3rd region.

Re: Glasgow Warriors vs Scarlets
Seriously, as a Scarlet, do not put Sean Lamont at 12. He's an out and out wing, a 13 at a (very big) push. Leave him where he works best!
