I would keep Alesana Tuilagi if I were Leicester.

Benjamin and Thompstone are good enough but not good enough to challenge properly on two fronts.

Thompstone hasnt looked the same player since that horrific injury, he was running in tries for fun before.

Yarde and Watson look much better prospects for us.

Thommo is nowhere near Alesana's standard. he will be sorely missed by Tigers.

Tuilagi has been found out a bit this year in the big games. Great when he can get the ball in his hands but so poor on the turn. Doubt Tigers will miss him to much with Manu picking up the carrying slack in midfield.

Whats the odds of Bowden getting himself qualified and going for England 12. Would be a massive help playing at Tigers for any international aspirations he might have

Interestingly a lot of Tigers fans on here are really happy with getting Thompstone and think that him and Benjamin will be pulling up trees on the wing for them next season.

I remember Thompstone giving Foden nightmares in one game he had for either Sale or Saints. Has it in him.

I can understand the excitement about Benjamin but not Thompstone.

I think Bowden staying in England gives us a clue that he may well want to play for England. would solve our problems at 12.

Think they will get a lot of points for Tigers as with the pack and midfield combo they are going to get a lot of chances - Benjamin is a great finisher, not sure he is better than AP class, but has done brilliantly for Worcester for a few seasons now.

I really like the look of the young Irish fb that Leicester have found, name escapes me but he reminds me of Geordan Murphy.

At last a decent Wasps side this weekend - should be a really interesting match if its on TV as got two young no8s playing Vunipola and Wray!

Glad that Robinson is back, we seem to win when he plays next to Flutey - havent seen him play since he got smashed by Courtney Lawes and Manu Samoa - was like watching a high speed car crash!

Saracens have 19 players out either on international duty or injured, and only 4 of their starting XV would be first choice if everyone was available.

If Wasps cannot beat them at home this week then they are in trouble for the rest of the season.

Irish backline looks decent

Allinson
Bowden
Tagicakibau
Hape
Joseph
Ojo
Homer

With Delon Armitage and Yarde on the bench

Shame about the forwards! (bar evans, paice and garvey).

think we will run quins close, could even sneak it.

We are in trouble for the rest of the season Pete - luckily Worcester and Bath are very close to us too! I am amazed by Bath, all those signings, not many international call ups and still just 4 points ahead of Wasps! Amazing really.

Think we have the strongest team we've had in about 2months, apart from the second row where we have O'Donnaghue who is from London Welsh and not great, but Wentzel is back so lineout should be ok and Poff should school Saull at the breakdown.

Back row is a big issue for us though and could be where we lose the game stnick.

I can't believe that we have so many injuries in one position. It's that bad that we only have four forwards on the bench ffs.

I read somewhere earlier that Big Trev is back from Samoa on Monday which will be good as we really need him at the moment.

Irish back row to face Quins

6. Garvey
7. Roche
8. Thorpe

2 locks and a player who is barely good enough for the AP. Sad

could well be an issue pete

but there is enough power to at least secure some front foot ball you would hope

as good as luke wallace is, cant see him dominating the breakdown completely.

Our pack looks good for the set piece, with two solid props and plenty of lineout options. We have power and decent carrying with Paice, evans and Garvey, but at the breakdown we are going to have to be a lot smarter than we usually are. Thorpe gives away a lot of penalties, and Roche can be a bit of a ruck inspector at times, which is not what you want from the man in the 7 shirt.

From 11-15 we are much stronger than them, but those boys are going to need some ball to play with if we are going to get any joy tomorrow.

Are you trying to tempt the wrath of Matt????

Great weekend for Wasps to put a marker down against a weakend Sarries side, tough for us traveling to an almost full strength Bath side. Wasps could put some serious space between the bottom.

Poff's great at the breakdown, one of the best in the AP - he'd school most other no7s in this area - just not the biggest and playing for Wasps all his great work is going unnoticed. If we was at Leicester, Sarries or another winning team then he'd be up there as one of the signings of the season.

Trouble at Wasps is that confidence is very low and we don't have many leaders in the team at the moment and we've been smashed by big scores a fair few times in recent weeks (though in all cases have never deserved to lose by that many!) - need one win and then am confident we will rise up the table!

I'd be very surprised if Quins lose to Irish.

Quins are still very strong.

Very dissapointed that there is no head to head between Joseph and Lowe. Two of my favourite players.

Evans v Bowden is a great contest.

I rate Poff highly Chris.

He's really good Nick - trouble is that he does all the hard work, gets turnovers and the person he gives the ball to then loses the ball! A fully fit Wasps squad would be a top 6 team no problem - though would help with a Lualala sort of player in the backline to get over the gainline!

For his weight (16st) Gaskell is a serious carrier.

Also jake Abbott has to be worth a look at with the Saxons. Looks a natural 7 and is 24.

Jake Abbott is a good little player, his career went back a bit last year when he tore some ligaments, but is slowly getting back to form. Think a big club will come in for him soon though.

What ever happened to Burgess of Cornish Pirates, he looked great last year, but havent heard anything about him this year.

Tom Brady playing well. Missed tackle by Benjamin is the first mistake I've seen him make though, Both played well in a game not for wingers.

How is everyone feeling about the England game? Will be a tough game in the conditions, so our pack will really need to front up.

Good article in the telegraph by Greenwood about Farrell - undecided where he will end up at either 10 or 12 long term, think they will most likely keep him at 12.

Foden has been awful, we miss Flood. No line threat from 10/12. Barritt carries (although they think he's Dowson for some reason) but he carries straight.

Corbs carrying really well, think Youngs is clicking more in the 2nd and Barritt is providing some go forward in the backs. Really can't see what Farrell offers in attack from 12 although he has a lovely boot.

Cracking 2nd half performance, really dug in for the win there.

Dickson deserves his chance to start ahead of Youngs, he was too slow at the base and deserves to be dropped Cry

Palmer was poor also, he looks really off the pace and Parling carried better and the lineout look rock solid with him on, I'd start Parling against Wales.

Morgan was quality when he came on, really impressed and must start at 8.

Of the starters I thought Corbs, Cole, Botha and Barritt were excellent.

You want to drop your love child?

Barritt was excellent and think he needs to take the 12 shirt with manu going to 13. farrell kicks goals but does little else. to be fair to him he was solid in defence.

Botha has outshone Palmer in each game, he's been excellent.

Seeing Dickson speed up the game made me realise Youngs needs a kick up the jacks. Dickson made errors but he was quick to each ruck and away whilst Youngs seems to whinge at each ruck.

Think Youngs can be best in world but he was poor today, especially in the first half.

Barritt was cracking though, carried really well and looks a real option at 12. He's not as good as Manu at 13 though. Will golden balls Farrell get dropped though???

Good job the Italians took off their no10 after50mins.

Huge difference made when Dickson and Morgan came on.

Farrell did very well and would like to see him partner tuilagi - he takes so much pressure off hodgson - thought Barritt did well but he can't bring the back three into the game at all from 13.

Hodgson put in a good shift.

Ideally would want Lawes and tuilagi back for Wales with either may or sharples on the bench - need a bit more spark

Didn't see the game but hearing it was all about Dickson and Morgan off the bench as well as chargedown Charlie!

Sounds like this could be the first time I've seen Foden have a real shocker. There is a chance he may miss a game due to his girlfriend giving birth so Brown could get a chance this 6N.
