It's a shame I can't vote on your game.
I can imagine your six at the back all linking arms and running directly at Porto and clotheslining anyone who dare get in the way. It's total football.

That might be because you didn't learn from my mistakes! I played 5-2-2-1 against Roma and some people voted me to lose 2-0 because I didn't come forward more often and just invited pressure. I got some 0-0's, but the average score was a defeat.
If Spurs played 8 at the back the whole game, Porto would be playing Attack v Defence for 90 minutes.

Yes for some people they see RVP on a team sheet and vote based on that.
But it he same respect how come Arsenal and Juventus aren't higher up their leagues?
They have better teams on paper than most other clubs in their league yet through their tactics (sorry CF but it is the feedback you get so I'm not saying anything that isn't well known) they don't get the wins.
It would end up becoming the Euro league thing if we all reduced down to bullet points or worse.
Arsenal have gone from double winners to struggling. Admitted they lsot RVP, which will have an impact (but it would IRL too wouldn't it), but Nando would admit that it is mainly down to his effort put into tactics.
I am in favour of encouraging more concise tactics that cut out the waffle, but they are important to teams being able to upset bigger teams.
We have tried to encourage more considered voting by introducing the bonus for voting (it is both timing and quality of feedback that earns the bonus)

I'm currently trying to cut down my tactics length (I'm also failing too). But even when I put in long tactics I don't think upsets against Porto or Fiorentina are possible in our league, and you can see by the results.
I'm not moaning, and I don't think it's fair to villify Porto/Fiore for daring to have exceptional squads, but I don't buy that upsets are ever likely. When was the last one, that everyone saw, on consensus? It's not like RL where they can happen at any time, just because it's down to several peoples perceptions, and it's nigh on impossible to get everyone's perception to say 'upset win' on any game (notwithstanding the individual players who may or may not = x2 goals).

Chiellini has been dross for a while now and wouldn't get close to RVP. Perhaps managers are paying attention to real life more than I give credit for

Only due to Juve sticking him on the flank, in his preferred central role he'd have done much better.
Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 2, Page 19
He hasn't be central for a very long time now.
If he wasn't playing centrally due to injury, he would have been massively marked down by now. He is more or less a LB these days

But CF, the Juve directors are considering your position in light of my interest.
Might be worth grabbing Fiorentina before you are pushed from the Juve hotseat

I think it's more your directors are considering their options.
And Cherries, sorry but I do not rate your squad. I would need more than the number of seasons probably left to turn them into title winners

In light of CricketFan's tardiness on getting his tactics in on time*, we have decided to introduce a new incentive system.
*Not really, we were discussing it anyway, but CF being late offers a good opportunity to announce it
Managers will receive bonus cash related to if they submit tactics on time and if they vote on time including scores, scorers and comments on the vote. This will be for the League, European and Domestic Cup matches starting with next weeks GW4 European games. The bonueses will be as follows:
League matches
£500k bonus for submitting tactics AND submitting votes which include all requirements (score, scorers and explanation).
You have to match both criteria to qualify for the bonus. If you do one and not the other, you will receive nothing.
The tactics deadline to qualify for bonus is 5pm on the Friday
The voting deadline to qualify for bonus is 5pm on the Monday (subject to all criteria being included)
European cups
£100k for submitting your tactics and £100k for each set of votes (£100k if you vote on Europa, £100k if you vote on Champions Cup). This way all teams can earn £200k in total from either tactics or voting.
Domestic Cup
£200k for tactics, £200k for votes from non cup teams. (max of £200k per team)
For both European and Domestic Cups the deadlines to qualify for bonus are:
Tactics - Wednesday 5pm
Voting - Thursday 5pm
All bonuses will be calculated by me after the deadlines have passed and after discussion with the other league runners. They will then be announced on the main page. You will not be able to add any bonus until it has been formally announced.

From Monday next week, the one season rule on TPs will be changing.
Up until now, if a player has not been with his club for the period of a full English season (August to May), it has been an automatic no.
Going forward with immediate effect, this rule will change to 1 calendar year. Therefore, a player will only be an automatic no if they have not seen out a full 12 months at their current club since they signed e.g. Joe Bloggski joined his Russian side on 15th February 2011 - up until 15th February 2012, any TP will receive a straight no, from 15th February 2012 onwards, it will be considered on the same basis as the rest
And this posted last week, so "Monday next week" is in fact today

KB - Fair enough.
Viva - I think your league is the most winnable this season and that is the challenge I would like to set myself. If I took Spurs or Malaga, I cannot see how I could get them up to the level to compete with Porto and Fiorentina before the end of season 3. In your league, their is potential of more instant success

History Afto, history, all in the past and you're running scared to a different league when the pressure is on.
You're the old alpha lion of the pack, a new contender has emerged and rather than put up a fight you're skulking off to find a weaker pack to spend the rest of your years.
The King is dead, long live the King.
