What did he just hoof it from his own goal area?
Basically, Spurs get a break, the ball goes to Ganso who feeds Heskey out wide, the big man uses his pace and gets down the right channel where he tries to cut inside, wins a corner. Dunne et all go for it, and a goalmouth scramble sees Dunne poke the ball across the line for a heroic win.

Would you all stop asking for the reasons.
They will go up when the runners have sorted them.
They do not know when that will be, but it will be done.
Please be patient.
Anyone for De Silvestri or Gignac?
And Twist, no deal of Farfan, he is going to be crucial to my new tactical approach and Pepe is not dynamic or pacey enough to replace him

Reasons for Nicks league will be late as I'm not in work this week and using an iPad so it's an arduous task.

Matuidi is a brilliant player and was playing really well for PSG. He is a much better DM than Parker could ever wish to be.
And Holtby is at least on a par with Honda, who's supposed big move ended up being to Lazio.
IMO you would have been swapping two better player + Gallas + £15m for Parker and Honda

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 2, Page 19
And Viva is allowed to buy and sell. He can even distribute his players to other teams if he really wants.
It would just be bad for the league if he did the latter just for the sake of spreading the talent about.
Would you want a player because you have negotiated a deal, or because Viva felt he needed to give you players to keep you happy?

We weren't referring to that. We were referring to Viva's plan to give his best players away to the best deal in order to "spread the wealth".
Whether he accepts that offer is his business, but I wouldn't put that in the bracket of selling for the sake of "spreading the wealth" as it is a very good offer (although he has turned down £35m from me for Podolski)

No, it would've opened the floodgates if he had taken a nibble though.
Need to bulk up defensively, still conceding goals and it's annoying me.

I don't want him giving players away. That is stupid and I agree it would harm the league. But I felt I made a fair offer.
I think my offer is better than flat cash of 35M for him. Barrios + 18M....he gets a replacement striker while he looks for another player. £35M is no good if he has nothing to spend on. Least then he has a plan B.
Anyway he turned it down......so I will keep looking

He does have a lot of strikers already.
But I agree your offer was a fair one, which is why I have said I do not consider it in the same category as "spreading the wealth"
It is Viva's choice whether he wants to keep Podolski or not

Nay Bother wrote:You were going to charge me 37 million for Cardoza,

No on the contary Nay, it is about tactics. I like that Podolski can play as a second striker and also on the left wing. Cardozo is more of a target man.
Therefore, in the style I would like to play, I would have to replace Cardozo with another target man. So 37M is not value based on skill, but value based on importance to the team.

Right my plan is
1) Get Gomis off Fan
2) Sell Cardozo to Nay
3) Come back to Viva with a lot more cash
Gomis replaces Cardozo, and I get Lukas P as my second striker.

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 2, Page 19
Rainbow League Reasons:
Schalke v Leverkusen
Leverkusen have a narrow set up, playing players most used to the CM on the wings. I feel they have enough quality to grab a draw against a well structured Schalke, but not the win.
Closely matched teams, felt Schalke had a bit more grit to their midfield though.
Pretty similar line ups today and with pretty similar gameplans I can see a close game with neither being able to push beyond the other.
Howedes does a good job on gamiero but Metzelder gets caught helping howedes and Gourcouff gets the break through in a close game.
Even game with wingers creating many chance, each team gets two but could of had more.
Nice balance to Schalke Metzelder marks Giroud well to take out Leverkusens main threat.
Juventus v Roma
Juventus are weak in defence and upfront. Iaquinta has too much to do on his own. Roma have far much more quality in midfield.
Superior in tactics and team sheet, clear instructions to every player and only ever one winner.
A closer game than I might have expected and it won’t be easy for Roma to break through Juve’s 2 DMs and decent defence. Eventually class will tell, and Milito will lay it off to Podolski enough for his efforts to break through. Juve worth a goal too, perhaps a shame that the first choice CFs were out.
Juventus tactics are barely tactics again, have given Roma the equivalent of default win.
a stronger lin-up and stronger tactics gave roma an easy 3-0 win, fornt 5 caused havoc and parker and co did well but too much talent there.
Yet again poor tactics from Juve. As mentioned loads of times, if Juve put the effort into their tactics like everyone else does they might actually win a match. But only the very basic instructions given and Roma have a field day.
Valencia v Everton
Tight game with two well balanced teams playing the same formation. Although they match each other well, neither team is able to get ahead in the match.
Matching formations, Everton though get the winner through overlapping down the flanks.
Both teams in 4-4-2’s and I can see this one being a bit of a tough one to call. Both are utilising crosses as the main weapon but I think Everton are stronger in the centre of the field and have a bit more of a chance to mix it up if crosses don’t work. They win by a single goal.
Everton had valancia well scouted at this made the difference in tactics and a closely fought win.
A highly enteraining game with both teams enjoying attacking success, but Valencia stronger front line edge them this close affair.
Good open game, end to end. Valencia let down by their wingers as they dont track back as much to counter the Everton threat.

Nice to see people paying attention to tactics again.
I didn't pay narrow, i played wide men cutting in. Granero and Remy are both used on the wings in real life.
Giroud played all of 5 minutes, so congrats to Metzelder for the stirling work he did taking out my main threat.
Seriously, own up, who's the numpty with the last comment?
