11. Rafael van der Vaart

Rafael - Howedes - Badstuber - Kolarov
Khedira - Schweinsteiger
Hulk - van der Vaart - Oxlade-Chamberlain
Dzeko
Subs: 10. Carlos Tevez, 12. Lasse Sobiech, 13. Robert Green, 15. Fabio Quagliarella, 17. Abel Hernandez, 21. Michael Essien, 22. Oscar De Marcos
Manager's note: Big game today, win by a couple of goals and we're probably Champions. No need to be all guns blazing, we have plenty of time so be patient, even without Neymar I expect them to go pretty attacking so we're matching their probable 4-2-3-1 system. Their fullbacks love to get forward so I want us to let them, then look to pick them off on the break as their fullbacks will be out of position. The first goal is vital, if we get it they will commit even more men forward then they are vulnerable to the counter attack. Relax, don't let the situation take control, take control of the situation.
Freekicks and Corners: Kolarov
Penalties: van der Vaart
Handanovic, big performance required, control your area, be confident from crosses and stay big for one on ones.
Rafael/Kolarov - Both up against terrific wingers and attacking fullbacks so I need you two to be at your best. CM's will help out, but always force the wingers/overlap to be outside you and then do your best to prevent the cross. When in possession, assist the wingers but only one at a time, if Rafael is forward, Kolarov stay back, and vice versa.
Howedes/Badstuber - Leandro Damiao is your likely target. I want Howedes to be the one to stick to him throughout, don't leave his side and read the game to beat him to the ball. Be meticulous in your style, if it even looks like Damiao will make a run, be in front of him. When Damiao has the ball, keep him facing away from goal and don't let him turn. Badstuber to be the extra man, drop deep to beat the runner to the ball, be the sweeper if either winger gets in behind, but don't be afraid to push up the pitch as they are less effective further away from goal.
Khedira/Schweinsteiger - Sitting deep in midfield is your job today. You are both excellent passers of the ball so I still expect you to have a say in our attack, but your primary tasks are to stop them in midfield. The AM, be it Ganso or Diego wont be able to do their jobs if you two are at your best. Bully them off the ball, read the game to be able to help out the fullbacks whenever they are put into a 2 on 1 situation.
Hulk/Oxlade-Chamberlain - I want you two to force their fullbacks back. Make them defensive today, and if they go past you in frustration/blindly neglecting their defensive duties, punish them. Make them stay back to deal with you. Beat them and cut inside to pass or shoot, go outside with your pace, get crosses in to our strikers and make sure you are a constant threat. Occasionally swap wings to give their fullbacks the slip if they try to mark you. If one of you is crossing the ball, the other get into the area as an extra attacking threat.
van der Vaart/Dzeko - Dzeko you are our main striker, no need to track back, you will be constantly on the shoulder of Luisao. He is a good defender in the air but is known for his lack of pace. You are quicker over 3-4 yards and it should get you away from him and free for the incoming crosses. Be lethal, you are a proven goalscorer and your goals could be very important in our quest. van der Vaart, you are our hard working AM/SS, when not on the ball I want you to harass their defence and midfield, pressure them into making mistakes and win the ball back. When we have the ball, become the second striker. Give the defence an extra headache as they struggle to cope with your late runs into the area.
Substitutions at 75 mins:
If winning by 2 or more goals/if we are winning the title as things stand: Essien on, van der Vaart off: Go 4-5-1, Essien an extra body in CM, soak up pressure from Neymar FC and use Hulk, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Dzeko to counter attack.
If winning but results elsewhere mean we need another goal/if drawing: Tevez on, Schweinsteiger off: Go 4-1-3-2, no need to panic but start to tighten the screw on the Neymar FC defence. Not quite time for Route 1, but time to get on with it. Fullbacks to get forward more prominently.
If losing: Tevez and Quagliarella on, Rafael and van der Vaart off: Go 3-4-3, Hulk - Khedira - Schweinsteiger - Oxlade-Chamberlain then Quagliarella - Dzeko - Tevez, go for it and embrace the spirit of Manchester City at the end of the last Premier League season.

Re: Tactics
REAL ALE WEEK 10 TACTICS
- Spoiler:
- Week 10: Real Ale Sociedad vs Viva City
Injuries: Lucas Leiva and Steven Jovetic
Team (3-5-1-1):.
------------------------------Given---------------------------------
-----------Smalling--------Yanga-Mbiwa-------Vertonghen-----------
Hazard-------Arteta-----------Song-------Cabaye------------Ramirez
-----------------------------Podolski-------------------------------
------------------------------Giroud--------------------------------
Subs: Boruc, Baines, Lichtsteiner, Bent, Adriano
Team Talk: Only a win will do now, so I would rather go down fighting as a team than go out with a whimper. Viva City are a quality team, but they lack good fullbacks. I want to stretch their midfield and attack those fullbacks. Possession is the key with a 3 man defence, so Arteta and Cabaye need to put a shift in to keep the ball and use it wisely. All out for a win team. Make it happen!
Given: If we concede, we are done for. I want a superhuman performance from you today. You know how much is at stake, and you are a proud man. Dominate the area, be clear with your instructions to the CB trio and let no ball pass into the net.
Smalling/Yanga-Mbiwa/Vertonghen: One aim and one aim only - defend with your lives. Although right footed Smalling and left footed Vertonghen are on the correct sides to aid with breaks down the wing, I want you to be as compact as possible. If the Viva City wingers get crosses in, than so be it, we have three good CB's to deal with the danger. No marking duties, zonal marking. The plan is for us to keep possession so you won't be busy, but I need you to be alert to all breaks and to deal with it quickly.
Arteta/Song/Cabaye:: Main aim is to keep hold of possession to frustrate Viva City. Use the ball wisely, and get it wide at every opportunity. Arteta and Cabaye to not get forward. I want you to stay on the half way line as an outlet for our forward players. If Viva City break, I want you both to be first to deal with the danger before it reaches our back 3. Pay particular importance to Viva City wingers. Get the ball back quickly and retain possession. Song, I want you to break up play and drive forward. They lack muscle in midfield so I want you to play box-to-box and use your neat passing to release Giroud and Podolski.
Hazard/Ramirez: The main attacking threat. Use your speed and trickery to attack Viva City's weak fullbacks. Cross the ball in for Giroud and the in-running unmarked Podolski. Feel free to get inside and shoot from range. If the way is blocked, pass back to Arteta or Cabaye to keep possession and then try again. I need you to be at your best to provide us with the goals we need. Ramirez to take all freekicks around the box!
Podolski: Free role for you as a second striker. Get right and left and help out our wingers. Frustrate the CDM who will chase you all around the pitch. Be alert for crosses coming in and run in unmarked. Be the lynchpin between Arteta and Cabaye and Giroud.
Giroud: I want you to do your best to lose your marker in this game. The key tactic for us is crosses as you are prolific in the air. Get in the box and get on the end of everything that flies in. We need goals, and we need you to provide them.
Subs: After 70mins (Winning or Losing): Lichtsteiner FOR Podolski and Baines FOR Ramirez)
We want to go all out to the final whistle, so fresh legs on the wings. Hazard moves in to an attacking midfield role behind Giroud. Lichtsteiner replaces him on the right and Baines replaces Ramirez on the left. 20mins of non-stop running from you two. Attack the tiring FB's and get crosses in to Giroud. You also have the defensive capabilities to take Viva City's wingers off the ball in case they try for a late goal. Both of you get up and down the pitch. All or nothing.
Subs: After 80mins (If we are losing, drawing or winning by only one goal) Bent FOR Hazard.
Play 3-5-2. Same tactics, but now Bent sits alongside Giroud to provide extra heading ability.

Holton Wanderers vs Real Nadrid V2
- Spoiler:
Week 10: Holton Wanderers vs Real Nadrid
Injuries: Ignazio Abate and Martin Skrtel
Formation: 3-4-1-2
Starting XI:
GK - Hugo Lloris
RCB - Nevan Subotic
CB - Steven Caulker
LCB - Daniel Agger
RM - Andriy Yarmolenko
RCM - Scott Parker
LCM - Moussa Sissoko
LM - Gareth Bale
CAM - Gylfi Sigurdsson
ST - Papiss Cisse
ST - Emmanuel Adebayor
Subs:
John Ruddy
David Alaba
Kyle Naughton
Joe Allen
Anthony Pilkington
Sven Bender
Demba BaLloris
Subotic - Caulker - Agger
Yarmolenko - Parker - Sissoko - Bale
Sigurdsson
Adebayor - Cisse
Team Instructions:
Lloris: You are one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Command that area, and make the world class saves everyone knows you can. Look to distribute to the centre backs.
Subotic, Agger and Caulker: Today we will play in zones. Whether they play 1 or 2 up front, we stick to our zones. If they attack down the left, Agger goes across to the winger and the other two come across as conventional CB's. Same down the right except Subotic goes across not Agger. Be strong in the air. Look to get the ball off Lloris and build from the back.
Parker and Sissoko: Parker you play sort of a holding role, look to break up the play. If they play a CAM you pick him up and nullify him. Sissoko you play the box to box role, work hard defensively and then in attack look to be creative by linking up with Sigurdsson and the wingers. When you both get the ball hit the wingers or Sigurdsson. Look to pick the ball up from the CB's.
Yarmolenko and Bale: Today you two will play a bit differently from each other. Bale I want you to beat you full back and get to the byline to whip in some crosses. Yarmolenko I want you to cut inside you look to shoot or whip in an inswinging cross. Both of you need to help back as well as you can, but be creative on the ball and stay out wide to start with.
Sigurdsson: You are the creative force today. Look to pick up the ball of Parker and Sissoko and make chances for us. Hit the wingers most of the time, but also look for that killer ball through to Cisse. Also help back in defence, especially if they have 3 in midfield you need to pick up a man so we don't get overrun in midfield.
Cisse and Adebayor: Adebayor I want you to be a target man, and Cisse I want you to be making the darting runs in behind. Both look to score from the crosses coming in, Cisse look for the through balls. Both take your chances when they come.
Free Kicks: Sigurdsson
Corners: Sigurdsson
Pens: Sigurdsson
Subs and tactical changes:
If winning or drawing: 70 mins - Alaba for Bale, Naughton for Yarmolenko, Bender for Sigurdsson. Go 5-3-2 with wing backs.Lloris
Naughton - Subotic - Caulker - Agger - Alaba
Parker - Bender - Sissoko
Cisse - Adebayor
If losing: Sigurdsson for Ba. Go 3-4-3 attack like hell.Lloris
Subotic - Caulker - Agger
Yarmolenko - Parker - Sissoko - Bale
Ba - Adebayor - Cisse
Team Talk:
- It is the final game of the season boys. Look to go out there and show some flair and fight, as we go all out for the win. A win will secure that we don't finish bottom, and we don't deserve to finish bottom. Show some pride, show some passion and most of all show that next season we will be back with a vengeance.

- The London Silly Nannies vs Barearselona
--------------Ochoa
Debuchy---Pepe---Sakho---Caceres
----------Sandro--Ramires
Sanchez--------Ozil--------Gaitan
-------------Benzema
Subs: Schmeichel, Ranocchia, Puyol, Sahin, Nene, Mandzukic, Gonalons
Injuries: KPB and Nagatomo
Team Talk: Final league game of the season, so I want us to go out and attack the game and see what happens. It would be freakish for us to win the league but it's not impossible so go out and snap the streak of draws and end on a high.
Ochoa - Stay big in the one on ones, come for aerial balls, and communicate with the defence ahead
Debuchy/Caceres - Both focus on defence first and get forward only when safe to do so. Go to the final third and support but no further. Stand wingers up and force them backwards.
Pepe/Sakho - Mark zonally and don't get pulled around by forwards movement. Absolutely dominate when the ball comes into the centre and be physical with strikers. Clear everything away but try and play the ball out from the back and retain possession.
Sandro - Break play up and sit in front of the defenders. Be physical and make it a health hazard for them to play the ball in the middle. With the ball, keep it simple and play it short to the players ahead and around you.
Ramires - Box to box today; buzz around in the middle and look to help break up play and get the ball back. Drive forward with it and break upfield from deep to support the attacks. Keep possession and play it to those around you.
Ozil - Operate just behind Benzema and look to play the ball through and unlock the defence. Use the width where you need to and don't stay static if you are marked - move around and make angles for passes through.
Sanchez/Gaitan - Be direct today, and get at the full backs. Stay fairly narrow, look to beat them for pace and get in behind the defence. Be on the move and provide options for Ozil to slip it to you. Closeness to Ozil and Benzema should be allow for interplay to get us in behind so look for each other and the best option.
Benzema - Be on the move and spearhead the attacks. Look for link up play with those around you and intricately play through the defence. When you get a chance to hit it, don't be shy.
Free kicks: Benz/Ozil
Penalties: Ozil
Corners: Ozil
Subs if winning:
80mins
Gonalons for Ozil - drop Gonalons back with Sandro and Ramires and strangle the game.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Cardoza-------Llorente------------------
Subs -
Vorm
Tremoulinas
Huth
Gamiero
Captain - Friedel
Corner kicks - Kagawa
Penalty - Llorente
Freekicks - Kagawa
Tactics
We are playing a 4-4-2 formation against Holton today. This is a well balanced formation which is solid in defence and lethal in attack. We will look to use our tall strikers to utilise our superior aerial ability.
GOALKEEPER - Brad Friedel
An experienced keeper, I want you to command your box. Always keep your eyes on the ball. If the opposition have a freekick in a dangerous position then place your wall and how many players should be in it. If you catch the ball from a corner then throw it out fast to either Kagawa or Navas who can use their pace on the wings and hit Holton on the counter attack.
CENTRE BACKS - Bruno Alves + Heitinga
Keep a flat back line. Use your aerial abilities to win headers. Stay compact and don't make unnecessary mistakes. Alves will mark their main striker if Holton play one up front and Heitinga will mark the second striker if he plays.
FULL BACKS - Zabaleta + Alba
Main priority is to defend. When one of you is attacking then I want the other to stay back. Play crosses into the box and make overlapping runs using our wingers.
WINGERS - Kagawa + Jesus Navas
Your job is to help both attack and defense. You both will stay close to the touchline, dribble past the full-back and try and float in a cross for Llorente or Cardoza to finish. When you are on the attack, be aware of how many of your teammates are making forward runs. If there are too many of them going up then it may be better off staying back. Use this time to recover you stamina. When moving forward off the ball, make sure you keep your width. Even if you are planning to make a near post run, stay outside for as long as you can. This way you will be coming in from the blind side of Holton's defense and they wont know what hit them.
CENTRE MIDFIELD - Veloso + Scholes
Veloso will anchor the midfield and cover for any player out of position. He will use his superior physical strength to bully other weaker players off the ball and will look to intercept loose balls. If you are in possession of the ball then play it out to someone that is free and pass back if you cannot pass forward. Scholes will be allowed to play slightly more upfield and play one twos with his teammates so it will be hard for the Holton players to stop him. He will be given the freedom to shoot if he sees an opening.
CENTRE FORWARD - Llorente + Cardoza
They will be playing the role of the target men and will look to use their physical threat to win the aerial balls. They are very good at headers and will have an advantage because of their height.. If you are in possession of the ball then hold it up and shield it untill you see an available pass. If you see an opening then shoot. And lastly try not to stray offside.
Subs if losing by 65mins
Put on Gamiero for Scholes and change formation to 4-3-3
Subs if winning by 80mins
Put on Huth for Scholes and play 5-4-1 ultra defensive formation.

General Notes
Last game of the season if we win we stay up if we lose we go down, so today is the day to get your ass in gear and batter them, we have more to play for so let our determination overpower their midget asses. LSN like to play our formation so we're match them man for man
Squad Tactics
Keep the ball pass in simply and quickly, dominate the midfield with our strength then hit them on the counter at pace down the wings
Individual Tactics
Reina: I want you to collect crosses and make sure that your ready to release the counter away by throwing it out wide, If get in behind make yourself big go down at the last second,
Anyukov: Only go forwards on the break, Otherwise sit and use your pace to negate the winger push him inside towards Inler, If goes outside block the cross.
Tasci: Stay deep and mark the forward and force away from goal, if the AM comes towards you make sure your block the supply to the forward
Koscielny: Your play the sweeper today if their forward gets behind Tasci use your pace to clean up and force him from goal, If the AM comes at you then also block the way to goal/forward
Coentrao: Be ready to go on the break overlap the winger, When defending push him out side and block the cross he hasn't got the pace to beat you.
Inler: I want you to sit in the gap between midfield and the centre backs so to block the AM from getting the ball into the forward, Force the AM to play it outwide if comes near.
Hamsik: Your going box to box today, I want you to be the pass master spread it out wide asap and when defending help Inler block the AM , or a Full back with a winger,
Robben : All i want from you is to take on the full back use your pace and skills then deliver the cross , if get a chance to shoot then do so.
Suarez: Playmaker i want you to drift about in AM land so from wing to wing all over the place so DM's can't follow without leaving a gap, Look for the wingers getting in behind and link up with Edinson like you do for Uruguay
Remy: Track back and help with the winger as he's pacy then when on the break make sure your there to take advantage of a slow defence. cut inside and look for passes in behind
Cavani: Your a big game player, i want you to sit on the small CB and bully him all day, If they play Pepe then wind him up, your be the link up for all this on the break if their in behind get in the box for the cross
Subs

TEAM TALK
We need to start off this league with three points. We have strengthened over the close season and it is vital that we show no mercy. Viva will be lacking a cutting edge losing his main striker, in Claudio Pizarro they have a 33 striker who lacks pace so we will use a high line. It is essential that we stick tight to Mata and Pirlo when they have the ball. Make them rush and not be able to pick out a pass. The whole of our midfield will work hard rather than a specific man-marker.
DEFENSE
- Rami should look to win the headers and get blocks in while Pepe leads, using his pace to sweep up.
- Anyukov and Clichy should use their pace to match the wingers but also look to get forward.
- Denisov needs to sit tight just in front of the back four and watch Mata (if he plays as an AM)
- Marchisio and Cabaye should be full of energy, closing down their midfielders in box to box roles.
- Rodriguez and Di Maria should drop back but be ready to counter if their full backs attack.
ATTACK
- Clichy and Anyukov should get forward to allows the wingers infield, get crosses into the box.
- Di Maria and Rodriguez can cut inside, use their fantastic shooting ability and have a go.
- Marchisio and Cabaye should get forward while Denisov sits deep and looks to play a pass.
- Ibrahimovic should use his ability to beat a centre back, also his 6'5 height to win headers.
- Look to win set pieces to allow Pepe and Rami to get forward. We can score from a set piece.
SET PIECES
Left Corner - Rodriguez
Right Corner - Rodriguez
Free Kicks - Di Maria/Cabaye
Penalties - Ibrahimovic
SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning bring on Dzogaev and Shirokov for Cabaye and Rodriguez. Add fresh energy to the midfield.
If drawing bring on Dzogaev for Marchisio, add creativity and Dzogaev should get forward as an AM.
If losing bring on Welbeck for Denisov. Move to an attacking 4-4-2 with both strikers linking up.

REAL ALE WEEK 1 TACTICS
- Spoiler:
- Week 1: Jacamos United v Real Ale Sociedad
Injuries: Ryan Shawcross
Team: (4-1-2-2-1)
Captain: Vertonghen
Corners: Ben Arfa
Free Kicks: Baines
------------------------------------Hart----------------------------------
Lichtsteiner------------Kaboul---------------Vertonghen-------------Baines
-----------------------------------Carrick---------------------------------
-----------------------Cleverley-------------Allen-------------------------
-------Hazard-------------------------------------------Ben Arfa----------
-----------------------------------Torres---------------------------------
Subs: Given, Smalling, Adriano, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Podolski, Marin, Suarez
Team Talk: First game of the season, and some new faces. Star player Eden Hazard is our main threat. I want to target Jacamos losing their captain Lahm, and attack their right hand side.
Hart: New number 1, and one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Be alert as always and take any crosses clean out the air. Then distribute to Carrick.
Kaboul/ Vertonghen: A new CB partnership that have played with each other before. I want Kaboul to man mark their CF and Vertonghen to clean up and distribute. Be aware of Baines breaking forward. Vertonghen, with his left foot, can provide cover on that side.
Lichsteiner/Baines: I want Lichsteiner to pay close attention to their LW, probably Young. Don’t let him come inside. Push him to the byline and force him to cross rather than to shoot. Baines, we want to target their weak RB, so break forward and help Ben Arfa attack that side. Track back as normal, and stop their RW from coming inside. I need a good game from you with a high workrate.
Carrick: Your main job is to act as distributor and outlet. We plan to keep possession for long periods. Play the simple ball to the midfielders in front of you, and stay around the centre circle for the pass back. I want you to shield our defence, so when Baines breaks forward, if we lose the ball, go as CB and Vertonghen will go as LB.
Cleverley/Allen: Our main play makers. Keep it simple and retain possession to frustrate Jacamos. Look to Hazard and Ben Arfa as our main attacking threat. Keep the ball and if we lose it, pounce and win back the ball as a unit. When Hazard moves inside, Cleverley to go nearer the right side to provide cover.
Hazard/Ben Arfa: Ben Arfa to attack the weaker RB at every opportunity. Dribble and beat him for pace, and watch for Baines on the overlap who will get crosses in. Hazard to come inside and support Torres. Dribble and provide the killer ball. If the way is blocked, go for the long shot. Come in unmarked if the ball is played from the left.
Torres: From the left side, the ball will be coming in from Baines or Ben Arfa, so watch for balls played along the ground or in the air across goal. From the right side, Hazard will look for through balls to you. Sit on the shoulder of the last defender and beat him for pace.
Subs:
If losing or drawing after 65mins. Suarez FOR Cleverly. Oxlade-Chamberlain FOR Ben Arfa
Play 4-4-1-1 with Suarez just behind Torres. Oxlade-Chamberlain to provide added pace on the left to again attack the RB. Carrick and Allen to sit deeper, provide cover and dictate the play. Baines to be more defensive now.
If winning after 75mins. Smalling FOR Ben Arfa.
Play 5-4-1. Hazard goes on the left now. Cleverley on the right. Smalling slots into defense. Play to keep the ball and use Hazard as an attacking outlet to use his trickery against the tiring Jacamos players

The London Silly Nannies vs Athletic Bilbao Baggins
Injuries: Mahamadou Sakho
-------------------Ochoa
Juanfran---Ranocchia---Bonucci---Mathieu
-----------Busquets----Moutinho
--------Muller------Ozil------Hamsik
------------------Cavani
Subs: Schmeichel, Caceres, Nagatomo, Thiago, Dzeko, Gaitan, Borini
Team Talk
The first game of a new season and a very tough challenge. We can't spend all our time worrying about what they will do; we need to go out and play the way we want to. Get the ball forward to our AMs, let them drift and create and use the width from the full backs. Keep the ball, attack and score some goals. Please.
Ochoa - Claim high balls, take the pressure off, parry what you can't catch and talk to the back line. Distribute short.
Juanfran/Mathieu - Provide width in attack for our midfield and look to feed the AMs and Cav from the wings. In defence, stand your man up and push him backwards. Don't allow space to cross, and don't commit to tackles.
Ranocchia/Bonucci - Communicate with each other and mark your zones. Be prepared for a lot of movement up front and players breaking from deep - but don't get pulled around. Clear it if it's danger, but otherwise keep it on the floor and move it forwards.
Busquets - Sit deep and start the play from the back. Look to move us forward and then stay vigilant in front of the back line. Follow midfield runners breaking forward and sweep up loose passes in front of you. Look to get your foot in, it will probably get congested in there.
Moutinho - Slightly ahead of Busquets, but with a similar remit; move the ball on and keep us flowing. You have a wealth of options ahead and look to utilise the width provided full backs when they break forward. In defence, drop back, follow your runner and help stilfle them when they get to the final third.
Muller, Ozil, and Hamsik - All three of you are creative talents, and I want you to work as a unit today to create chances. Play as AMs in the final third, swapping sides, drifting infield and out, and look for interplay between the three of you. Cavani will be in the 18 yard box so work angles, and space, and get the ball to him. All three of you have a licence to go for the risky pass in the final third, to have a crack if there is space, and to break into the box to get on the end of balls. Communicate between yourselves and know where each other is. Defensively, stay narrow and try and stop the flow of their creative midfield, and Xavi. Make it tough to play through you.
Cavani - Operate in the box and make runs all day. Be a constant threat and make sure they can't take their eyes off of you. You can make something from nothing, so twist and turn on the ball and make space for a shot. If nothing is on, you have support with you always, so use them.
Pens: Ozil
FKs: Ozil
Corners: Ozil
Subs if winning 80mins:
Ramires on for Muller: Drop back and form a 3 man midfield in front of the back three, with Ozil/Hamsik supporting Cav.
Subs if losing 80mins: Caceres for Juanfran and Dzeko for Mathieu. Go to a back three, have Muller on the RW and Ozil on the LW, and get the ball into the front two. Pepper them with attacks.

Team Talk: Lets go out and get the three points, we are very strong in midfield and have the flair upfront to open the team up. We are a better team, we have not chopped and changed like them, our players know each other, brothers we'll die for each other. FORZA VC.
De Sanctis communicate with defenders all the time, try to claim the ball but punch if you need to parry shots away from danger if you can't hold on. Stay big hold your groundm ake the goal smaller.
Azpilicueta watch the ball not the feet don't dive in jockey your man onto weaker foot or away from goal use your speed to keep up with him don't get dragged out of position when getting forward make overlapping runs to give width and get crosses in early
Evans pick up SS/AM look for their runs try to intercept the passes they make put a tackle in when you need to otherwise jockey don't leave too much gap between fellow CB
Lescott pick up main striker watch for his runs close down any shots or room so he don't get a chance use your strength and awareness
Cissoko watch the ball not the feet don't dive in jockey your man onto weaker foot or away from goal use your speed to keep up with him don't get dragged out of position when getting forward make overlapping runs to give width and get crosses in early
Pirlo the dictator of the team control tempo slow or fast look for the wide players or anyone making runs keep possesion for us and come forward with the ball
Javi Garcia get around the pitch close the opposition down get the ball of them and look to distrubute it quickly to others, when Matudi goes up you drop and vice versa
Matudi we want to boss the midfield your use size and power to cover the area and work hard don't give them much room to do what they want play it simple.
Valbuena use the width or come central mix it up don't stay in one place call for the ball make runs of Pizzaro you have the pace and low centre of gravity
Mata like Valbuena get around wide positions and come centrally look for the ball and play key passes that you are known for link up play do the one two speed it up in the final third
Pizzaro one of the highest scorers in Germany last season you have the chance to PROVE to be a first teamer play it simple pass and move make runs keep defender guessing play in the 18 yard box play in Valbuena and Mata who will make runs in behind defence.
SUB 65 MIN
Valbuena off Valencia on (More natural width and service)
SUB 75 MIN IF LOSING
Matudi off Martins on (Martins plays behind Pizzaro in a 4-4-1-1)
SUB 75 MIN IF WINNING
Matudi off Gonzalez on (Fresh legs and energy into midfield chase around and pass ball keep possesion)

- JACAMOS UNITED v Real Ale Sociedad:
---------------Buffon---------------
--Piszczek--Piqué--Martinez--Schmelzer--
---------Fellaini------Alonso----------
--Muniain--------Michu--------Young--
-------------Lewandowski(c)----------
Subs: Weidenfeller, Ferdinand, Shaqiri, Belhanda, Ogbonna, Milito, Negredo
All set pieces except penalties: Schmelzer
Penalties: Xabi Alonso
Captain: Lewandowski
Team Talk: First game of the new season against a very strong side, one of the favourites indeed. However, I think we can stick a spanner in the works. We have brilliant passers so we'll look to play our attacking, passing game and starve them of the ball. Chase it down in packs when we lose it.
Buffon: Be big and strong, catching everything possible and only punching when necessary. Look to start off a counter attack by playing the ball out wide.
Defence: Expecting Torres up front for Real Ale so Pique; look to deal with him by sticking goalside of him and tracking his runs in and around the defence. If Real Ale play a 2nd striker then Martinez will look to mark him. If not, stop the supply to Torres from the wings and track any runs from an AM or Hazard running at the defence. Go through him if you have to. Piszczek and Schmelzer, I want you to deal with the wingers. Force them inside to the DM's or double up with the CB's to stop them. Follow them everywhere and if Hazard is on the wing keep fouling him, keep him quiet. Essentially kick him out of the game and rough him up. When going forward, 1 of you forward at a time.
Midfield: I think we can really get at this midfield. Alonso and Fellaini, I want to see you breaking up the play and chasing passing it forward. Fellaini, get the ball and charge forward with it, exchanging passes with Michu and the wingers. Alternatively, get forward in support of Michu + Lewandowski. Someone will hoof the ball to you so chest it, control it and pass it. Wingers: Zig and zag, use trickery and pace to beat your FB's and cross into Lewandowski, or come inside and run at the CB's. Michu, get forward and support Lewandowski when we attack, sit in midfield when we defend. Have shots. If Hazard is in midfield, Alonso will look to kick him.
Forward: Michu and Lewandowski are the main attacking threat, with Fellaini looking to get forward when he can in a box-to-box role. Rob, get at the 2 CB's and look to push and pull them out of position. If there are gaps in the defence, Michu, look to exploit them. Use your massize size to physically bully your way past if you have to. Fellaini, you know what to do.
Subbies:
If drawing or losing on 60 minutes, Michu and Muniain off, Belhanda and Shaqiri on (Shaqiri to LM, Young to RM).
If winning on 70 minutes, Lewandowski and Fellaini off, Negredo and Ogbonna on. Martinez moves to DM, Ogbonna to CB. Also, in last minute, Buffon off and Weidenfeller on.

Re: Tactics
AC ALSOAM v Hangover 69
- Spoiler:
- Starting XI
1. Samir Handanovic
3. Alexsandar Kolarov
4. Jeremy Toulalan
5. Benedikt Howedes
8. Bastian Schweinsteiger
9. Alexis Sanchez
10. Carlos Tevez
14. Vincent Kompany
15. Antonio Di Natale
23. Christian Maggio
25. Neven Subotic3-4-2-1
Handanovic
Howedes - Kompany - Subotic
Maggio - Toulalan - Schweinsteiger - Kolarov
Sanchez - Tevez
Di Natale
Subs: 2. Pablo Zabaleta, 6. Fabricio Coloccini, 11. Coutinho, 13. Gabriel, 18. Lorenzo Insigne, 19. Balasz Dzsudzsak, 24. Abou Diaby
Manager's note: First game of the season, aiming to defend our Premier League crown. Hangover 69 are a very strong side as shown when they nearly won the Championship last season, we expect them to go with their strong 4-3-3 system, so we're playing 3 at the back with wingbacks to combat them.
Handanovic, control your area, watch out for long shots, stay big for any 1 on 1's.
Howedes/Kompany/Subotic, Eto'o is the likely main man, Kompany to stick to him, bully him, read the game to get to the ball first. Howedes and Subotic to be aware of the wide forwards of Reus and Schurrle, force them wide, limit their impact.
Maggio/Kolarov, work hard up and down the wings, drop back to fullbacks to combat Reus and Schurrle, get forward when we have the ball to get crosses into the area. Be sensible in possession.
Toulalan/Schweinsteiger, sit in midfield and dictate the play from deep, both help the CB's out, use the ball well to find the forwards/wingbacks. Be there for the Hangover midfielders breaking forward.
Sanchez/Tevez, playing in free roles, I want you to create havoc. Drop deep to get the ball, help the wingbacks, get into the area to support Di Natale, drag the likes of Terry and Cahill out of position. Use your pace and trickery to get shots in and supply Di Natale with chances.
Di Natale, be the goalpoacher, get yourself free in the area with your wily tactics, look to get onto the end of crosses and through balls, if you are at your best you will grab a couple of goals today.
Subs 70 mins;
If winning: Dzsudzsak on, Di Natale off. 5-4-1, wingbacks to fullback, Dzsudzsak goes LW, Sanchez RW, Tevez the lone striker. Counter attack with the pacy wingers.
If drawing: Zabaleta, Coutinho and Dzsudzsak on, Howedes, Maggio and Di Natale off. 4-2-3-1, different approach. Zabaleta RB, Dzsudzsak LW, Coutinho AM, Sanchez RW, Tevez CF. Push for the win.
If losing: Dzsudzsak and Insigne on, Maggio and Kolarov off. More attacking players at LM and RM, push Tevez and Sanchez further forward and go 3-4-3.

Hangover 69 vs AC ALSOAM
- Hangover 69 Tactics:
Team (4-3-3)
GK - 12 - Rui Patrício
LB - 13 - Benoît Assou-Ekotto
RB - 03 - Mathieu Debuchy
CB - 26 - John Terry (c)
CB - 24 - Gary Cahill
DCM - 06 - Étienne Capoue
DCM - 04 - Kevin Strootman
CM - 07 - Mikel Arteta
LW - 14 - André Schürrle
RW - 11 - Marko Reus
CF - 10 - Samuel Eto'o
Subs:
01 - Anders Lindegaard
05 - Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa
08 - Lucas Biglia
15 - Victor Moses
18 - Raheem Sterling
19 - Bojan
22 - Matija Nastasic
--------------------- Patrício --------------------
Debuchy - Terry (c) - Cahill - Assou-Ekotto
------------- Capoue - Strootman ------------
---------------------- Arteta ---------------------
Reus ----------------------------------- Schürrle
----------------------- Eto'o ----------------------
Team Talk: Today we have a baptism of fire in the big leagues against last years leaders but that sure as hell doesn't mean we can't get a result. I fully expect them to play 3-4-3 of some discription with defensive wingers/wingbacks. I want you to fight tooth and nail today and give nothing away which is why we're sticking to what we do best today. Capoue and Strootman are big guys who can dominate their midfield and with Arteta in there as well we won't get outnumbered. Most of all I want you to put in a performance that I can be proud of!
Patrício: Command your box and watch out for Tevez/Sanchez (whoever plays) running from deep. Try and counter attack by releasing the ball straight to Reus/Schürrle.
Assou-Ekotto/Debuchy: I want you to curb your attacking instincts and stay back to make sure we're never outnumbered. Watch their defensive wingers/fullbacks (Maggio and Kolorov most likely) and prevent them from settling.
Terry/Cahill: Terry to focus on marking their central striker (maybe Di Natale or possibly Tevez). Keep them quiet. This will allow Cahill to mop up and watch the runs from deep if they manage to break our midfield.
Capoue: You're a mountain of a man so impose yourself today. Their attacking players, especially Sanchez, don't like being roughed up so make sure that they feel your presence. You must make sure that you communicate with Terry/Cahill throughout to prevent us losing shape.
Strootman: I want you in the box to box role today that you excel in. Make sure that you're back whenever they have the ball to support Capoue and the defence. If there midfield comes forward then make sure they are hassled for the ball. When we have the ball I want you to break quickly to support our attacking players.
Arteta: You are the creative influence of our midfield and our star signing of the Summer break. Its very important that when they have the ball that you use your excellent tackling ability to break up their attacks and make sure that when they have the ball we have 3 in midfield to nullify their play. As soon as we get the ball I want you to pick out those killer passes that we all know you have in your locker. These need to go to Reus and Schürrle in particular. Don't be afraid to get forward and shoot from distance if the opportunity arrises.
Reus and Schürrle: Although I expect them to set out to nullify the pair of you the truth is that you can take advantage of their wingbacks. They will be attacking a fair bit giving you lots of room to be played in behind by Arteta in particular. I need big shifts from the pair of you. When they have the ball drop back and aid us in getting the ball back but make sure you're ready to explode forward. Without true fullbacks you should be able to drive past their 'outer' center backs and link up with Eto'o. We could well get 3 on 3 situations going forward or even 4v3 if Arteta or Strootman are there as well.
Eto'o: Yes they probably have 3 center backs but you won't be alone in our attacks. I'd expect them to set one cb to mark you (probably either Kompany or Howedes) so I want you to drag them all over the place to see just how far he will follow you. This should give space for you, Reus, Schürrle, etc to exploit.
-----
Corners: Arteta - Cahill/Terry come forward, Capoue to stay back with the FB's and Strootman to hover half way back.
Freekicks: Arteta/Eto'o, same as above
Penalities: Eto'o
-----
Subs:80 minutes:
Bojan for Reus, Biglia for Schürrle
Go 4-3-1-2
--------------------- Patrício --------------------
Debuchy - Terry (c) - Cahill - Assou-Ekotto
--------- Capoue - Strootman - Biglia --------
---------------------- Arteta ---------------------
----------------- Eto'o - Bojan ------------------
Force out the game by dominating the midfield. See the game out and get us the greatest possible start.
If still winning at 85 minutes, Eto'o off Nastasic on. Bojan alone upfront with 5 at the back. Get those points lads!
If losing or drawing at 80 minutes:
Sterling for Schürrle, Bojan for Eto'o. Both like for like. Fearless youth who will look to catch AC ALSOAM out.

Bilbao Baggins v LSN
- Spoiler:
- De Gea
Richards---Hummels---Chiellini---Cole
Xavi---Toure---De Rossi
Moura
Higuain---Villa
Team Talk
This is it, the final season and the goal is in sight, the Premier League Title. But before that we have the hardest task we've faced, 7 quality sides each eager to stake their claim to that trophy. We need to be hungrier, to be keener, to have simply more desire to lift aloft that trophy.
Believe.
De Gea: In front of you is an unchanged back four from last season so you all know each others game well. Communicate with them, instruct them on set pieces. Make yourself big on one on ones and claim crosses.
Cole & Richards: Herd the wingers into the corner without going to ground, ensure you block crosses whipped in and then look to come forward when possible to provide width and link up play with Moura to hit balls into their box.
Chiellini & Hummels: both have built up an understanding now from playing together so expect communication. If LSN have one striker then Chiellini is to keep a close watch upon as he comes forward, don't be afraid to rough him up outside the box. Hummels to sweep up any second striker or encroaching winger/AM but then look to move the ball forward to Xavi.
De Rossi: Taking the role of the Enforcer today and ensuring that Ozil & Moutinho are not given the remit to control the flow of the game. Hold a deep line in front of the defence and look to provide cover when FBs go forward.
Toure: Box to box role for the behemoth. Look to collect pinpoint passes from your old Barca teammate Xavi as you burst through LSNs midfield. Be prepared for a physical battle assisting De Rossi break up play.
Xavi: Be prepared for a close watch but remain calm dictating the flow of the game. Look ahead for Toure breaking forward and Moura moving into space as you hit neat controlled passes.
Moura: Constant movement dragging your marker with you, look for Toure and Xavi providing you with the ball and use your close skills to lose your man and get the ball quickly past the defence to the two strikers. If the FBs come forward then assist them down the wing doublet warming their fullbacks to break into the box.
Villa & Higuain: Look to work together to beat your markers and use your speed and goal awareness to make timing key as the ball comes to you in the box.
Subs: Alves, Coates, Bertrand, De Jong, Cambiasso, Giovinco, Isla
If losing at 70 min: Bring on Giovinco & Cuenca for De Rossi & Villa, go 4-2-3-1 and use the speed down the wings against tired FBs to provide threat coming inside.
If winning at 80 min: De Jong on for Moura, Toure to play slightly more forward as De Rossi and De Jong close up shop in front of the defence.

Yeah but a lot of managers don't follow it. It's why I suggested an overhaul on tactics rules.

Tbh, I think there should be a strict limit, be it a word limit or line limit. But going over it should be penalized.

I do mine now on my iPad and I haven't a clue how long they then appear on computers for people so try to go off what other people have done to gaige if mine are okay in length.
So basically they did it first is my plea.
I think the rule though can be considered scrapped.

Equally Marky I don't know why you're moaning, I'd expect to lose to you anyways! Also is it 15 lines as in sentences or physical lines of text. If its on a phone then 15 looks more than of its on a 17" screen for example.

Re: Tactics
I was told last season to edit my tactics down because they were apparently too long. So surely the rule should be the same to everyone.

Trebs - 10
Twist - 25
Sodhat - 26
Viva - 26
TSJ - 24
Marky - 15
Gregers - 34
Hero - 25
Only 2 of the 8 tactics are even close
Either scrap the rule or enforce it
I think it depends what you're viewing it on, because my screen doesn't show as many lines as yours.
It's hard to standardise screens but on my work PC at least all tactics (except maybe Gregers') are close the nominal 15 lines.

Re: Tactics
There should be a word count imo.
And i would have written much more if there was no rule. I ink there has to be a limit otherwise people will have nightmares predicting.

Re: Tactics
I agree there needs to be a limit, or it will get like the FL where it takes hours to predict
I do think most people stick to between 15-20 lines though, and that is reasonable

Re: Tactics
One person needs to be the judge as it appears that it is a different number of lines for different people on different computers.
If in doubt, ask the runners on PM. If I think I am close, I always ask Soddy, so I volunteer him to be the official tactics limit regulator

I think a word count would be better, because then it's either right or wrong. Simple.

Re: Tactics
Can't argue with that Mouse, except that to check that, someone has to copy and paste the tactics into Word, when with lines it's a quick count on screen.
I guess set a word limit and then get an idea of roughly how many lines that is. Anything that then looks too long could be checked for word count

Re: Tactics
I can regulate tactics based on my work PC screen, but I'd rather it be lines than word limits because it would take significantly less dicking around.
Between 15-20 lines has always been my view of reasonable.

Re: Tactics
As I said last night I'm sorry mine are so long, genuinely didn't realise when I was writing them.
Re: Tactics
15 lines is plenty IMO to get the points across. I've done it in 10 and didn't feel there was a need for any more.

Re: Tactics
If we look back, the vast majority of people operate anywhere between 15-20 lines, and in some cases significantly more.
I think it's reasonable from here on out to set the max at 20 lines based on my PC screen, and I will point out any that exceed that limit and they can be shortened.
